Chapter 277: XVIII Eye of Heaven
Chapter 277: XVIII Eye of Heaven
Elijah and the members of the time clan all appeared in the sky out of thin air. His senses wrapped the whole planet and like he thought, there was no one in this world. All the once green land of the earth and the loud and highly populated Cities on this bright piece of gem with a long history from way before the reign of the Gods and Immortals, has become nothing more than ash and dust.
Eye of Time. Elijah's pupils expanded and covered his entire eyeball, turning into a milky white color capable of piercing through time and space.
His pair of eyes changed as he takes a look at this mortal world. Images appeared on his head, the humans have had an ordinary day as ever when a sudden globe of red light appears right above their heads, it shines with a light as dazzling as the sun, no, it was much brighter.
In a few instants, the light spread down on the land, the entire space surrounding earth in the sky shattered like glass. Walls, houses, a few cars and even the mountains as well as every single living being were all sucked into a massive rift in the sky.
Some of them were turned into dust even before coming closer to that rift in the sky. The air was heavy with the smell of burnt flesh and smoke hung in a haze that partially obscured the blood-red sun hanging over their heads.
Within the many people, Elijah's eyes were fixed on a three year old girl in a young woman's bosom. For a moment, he felt like those pure and large eyes of hers were staring directly at him before both mother and child were taken into the spatial rift.
Returning to the present, Elijah was staring at what was left of the cities, the cities which once were massive and full of life stood like skeletons of the past, barren wastelands, so empty that could make others think all of this has happened long ago.
'I can't let this go on anymore.' Elijah told himself in his mind. As if his gaze could penetrate space, he was staring at the black tower hidden by many tall buildings in the region of Manhattan. And like all the others, this tower was slowly taking in the matter in its surroundings and converting into energy.
The army marched into outer space to search for survivors in any near planet, and the same repeated over and over again with Elijah seeing similar scenes one after the other to the point it stopped affecting him that much.
The last place he visited in the Milky Way was the small planet of Hakalla, a world covered a water-like fluid and populated by aquatic humanoid species, or at least it once was. Now, even the infinite oceans that encompassed the whole planet stood still like stagnant hollow pools of death and despair, there were no waves as even the wind has gone as well.
And this wasn't the first time, the same has been done with the origin, race, the genesis and many others before them. Just by thinking of how many times the cosmic heard has done this... If it wasn't for something inside him suppress any extreme emotions, he didn't know how much of the turmoil and utter hatred his heart would be in.
However, seeing all of this would only solidify his motivations and keep him even more pressed to free this universe. He may have been tossed on this face against his own knowledge and will, but if he has to be the one to do it, then he would gladly accept his fate and follow it to the end with regrets.
"Enforcers, each of you take a few thousand men and take a star sector to protect. If you find any monsters, remember to kill, but not to destroy its souls."
"Yes, your highness!" More than a thousand voices saluted Elijah before flying towards the deep space leaving only Elijah behind.
Extending his power over every corner of his body, the armor over his body started to shake terribly as powerful vibrations roamed all the way through his body and were released into the dark and vast space.
He accelerated his thoughts up to a million times faster in order to carefully inspect the whole cosmic realm within the range of his soul sense.
The many planets, planes and dimensions appeared before him, and at the same time he noticed a thin layer of space different than the rest. It was far, far way, right in the middle of the cosmic realm to be exact.
"It is time." Elijah body was dematerialized in a split second. When he appeared, in the space ahead, there was a boundless amount of chaotic energy and covering all of creation while new planets would emerge, allowing the cosmic realm to ceaselessly grow.
Elijah to advance forward, charging into this unknown space only to find himself in a milky white landscape covered by trillions and trillions of runic formations, words that Elijah has never seen before and way older than anything he knew.
This was the Eye of Heaven, the center of the cosmic realm and birth place for every existing law in this world while the cosmic heart is core within the core.
"The cosmic heart should be here somewhere."
"I should have guessed you would be the one to find me here. However, I guess you are too late." The bright and holy Eye of Heaven has suddenly lost its light and all its runes vanished as a dark and profound voice resounded in that space.
A man was standing there, in his hand was a piece of stone melting over his hand. "My wish has finally been completed. I have got a body strong enough to refine my true body, now, there is no one who can refine my as they wish anymore. I'm free! I AM THE HEAVENS!"
The moment he heard this, Elijah realized the answer to the doubts he had about the World. The world king could suddenly change the tide of the battle when facing the void king and his supreme artifact and leave him in a grave state, so there is no way he would leave Elijah grow stronger when he certainly had the power to stop him.
Now everything made sense, While Elijah refined the celestial world's core, The world king blocked the entrance to the cosmic realm and used Yakhan's body to refine himself and become the supreme rules of this cosmic realm.
"No, you don't! I not a saint, many of the things I have done as well the lives I've taken would follow me throughout my life. However, for my past lives and this one I will make sure to erase you once and for all."
The bronze clock appeared behind Elijah while he stated in his heart. 'For the old Sovereign of Unity who once stood at the peak of his world, and has sacrificed his own time for the sake of a new one, I call you to my side.... Unity Sovereign Elijah!"
