Chapter 29: VII First Day
Chapter 29: VII First Day
Reaching the class of genius, Elijah saw a tall building. There he could see several students in potions shop, classes, an arena and all kinds of places, it even had a beach! this building was more of a city than anything else.
For those who were in the genius class they were free to study, cultivate or anything they wanted to do inside here, they didn't need to leave the academy like the common students to go to the city and every floor had several class for different years, the 1st and 2nd floor were for the first years, the 3rd and 4th were for the second years and so on.
For the academic calendar of the common class in the academy, every week they had classes from Monday to Friday with only the weekend free.
As far as Elijah knew, the magical classrooms were on the west side of the first floor. There he searched the entire section and can not find a class for his affinities, until he saw a wooden door hidden in the corner of his eyes and for a strange reason drew him there. Elijah opened the door and asked in a curious voice.
"There is someone here?"
As no one has answered he came in anyway.
There he saw a dusty room with several gadgets and things he had never seen before to see a small glass object the size of a hand at the front and with a double crossed swords logo behind. Finding there is something strange within this object, he looked several times until he found a small button on the sides of that object.
Pressing the button, the glass screen suddenly lit up and the strange object made a noise that startled Elijah, causing him to drop the object and a voice raised behind him.
"Hey boy, your parents haven't teach you to not invade other people places and began touching things?"
Seeing he had been caught, Elijah turned and bowed.
"I'm sorry mister, this object had caught my attention and i had forgot where i was."
The man extended his to the object Elijah had dropped.
"This? Haha, this is one of my experiments. It is called smartphone or mobile phone and it is something from where I came from. You can have it if you want, it has a special type of battery I created using energy crystals, making the battery lasting an entire year before having to recharge. It has 13 Exabytes which is about 13 million terabytes. This phone is using the spatial pocket app created using spatial magic it's possible to store objects and even some of it's components... Ah sorry, I had become a bit more excited than normal and began talking about things you won't understand. I'm Damian Lang, a technology teacher."
Elijah hadn't understand anything Damian had said and only recovering his senses after Damian had introduced himself.
"I'm Elijah Branches, and what do you mean by technology teacher?"
Then Damian turned to Elijah, and he could finally see Damian's face. He looked to be about 25 or 26 years old but he felt it was more on him than the eye could see.
Even though Elijah looked like a 16-year-old and considered handsome, he was still a 10-year-old boy. Damian, however, had a height of more than 1.7 meters, along with a pair of strong arms, but he was a bit thin.
Wearing a white coat and the glasses covering his blue eyes gave him an air of intelligence and a finishing touch.
"First, you must already noticed that i'm not from this world, I came from a far away place called Earth."
"Earth?"
"Yes, but your kind call my world by Midgard. There I was a university professor and after some things happened and I fell down here from the tree you call Yggdrasil and discovered that other worlds, magic and gods existed ... So after knowing that I could not go back I decided to use the my knowledge and combining it with magic to create a new kind of magic, but from what you can see, no one had been interested with my class... "
As Damian continued to speak, his tone was growing thinner until his eyes lit up and he looked at Elijah.
"You must be the one the teachers had talked about before with the perfect affinity right? Why do not you become my student so I can pass on my knowledge to you?"
"You want to teach me about this so called technology?" Elijah asked.
Damian stopped his steps, standing quietly in front of Elijah. "Are you willing?"
Elijah naturally stopped too, raising his head to look at the man in front of him and watched closely. He did not open his mouth, he was thinking if it was worth accepting this man as his teacher.
Damian saw Elijah staring at him, and he smiled. "As I thought, you're really a smart kid."
Damian knew the reason Elijah hadn't said anything was basically. "I don't even know what your class teaches exactly, so why should I recognize you as my teacher?"
Then he took the smartphone from floor and after sliding his finger on the screen several times, he pointed the phone to a chair beside him and the chair suddenly disappeared and the icon of a chair appeared on the smartphone screen.
"This is what I'm offering, so what do you say?"
