Chapter 77 77: Meeting The Martial Families.
Isabella spent around 20 minutes reading the contract, double-checking things she didn't quite understand with Amon and her phone.
So while she was busy, Amon also began to see to his work—thanks to Kizuna's and Rebecca's appearance, there were only a few signatures to sign and documents he needed to write, much easier than doing all the paperwork himself.
'This is the least glamorous part, I guess, haha..'
[Still, you look good when focused—it's like being back in your apartment and watching you write your novels all afternoon... nostalgic...]
"Amon, sorry to bother you. The Ming, Murdock, Lang, and Chen family delegates have arrived regarding the Elixir and Recipe issue." Rebecca's soft voice sounded as she put down the receiver and began to type furiously.
"Understood, let them wait." Amon didn't plan to treat them, especially because, in the end, his being early won't stop their bullshit—their finding fault or not won't change.
"But Amon..."
"Don't act so humble—it is my recipe and my elixir and business, and who do they think they are acting so smug, barging in here like they deserve something." His stance was obvious, and he would refuse unless they had a good reason or offer.
'If those idiots try to use force as the excuse... I feel bad for them.'
Rebecca nodded, thinking to herself before she continued typing on her computer.
At the same time, Elma watched Amon with an amused look before sitting in the comfy chair and spinning around bored.
"I've signed it!" Isabella broke the slightly gloomy atmosphere handing the signed documents to Amon with a pleased look. "I look forward to working with you."
Amon checked the document before storing it in the folder with a faint smile—with this, he could start working to build a decent force to protect himself and the women around him.
However, he might become strong, but he still couldn't survive a sniper bullet from a super long distance away.
"If you need to take some time off to spend with your daughter, the same offer as Chang Yu applies—feel free to ask Rebecca to finalise the documents and contact HR. Forgive me for not being a better host, but I should probably be going..."
"It's all fine, Master Amon! I am happy to receive a decent job—I hope all goes well and you don't stress too much."
"Good, take some time off and enjoy the freedom with your daughter—make sure you keep healthy and like Chang—contact me if you need help, or have any problems."
Just like he had with Chang Yu, Amon handed over his business card, but this one had his private numbers.
Isabella left smiling while Amon got up and started to fix his lazy attire. Although he didn't care for them mostly, the Murdock family were different as technically he'd slept with both sisters... and wanted to make a decent impression at least.

The room they would meet was on the 22nd floor, so he took Elma and Rebecca, who would record the minutes and were just a good head to have around, much smarter than Amon when it came to complex strategies and ideas, so the three of them loaded into his private elevator and descended to the meeting room.
It was a rather quiet move; Elma and Rebecca didn't make much sound as they were too interested in what might happen next.
Elma opened the large double doors for Amon where the groups bidding for a chance to get some profit from this company were waiting, some obtaining it legitimately, for example, the mother of Alice and Tia, who approached with the proper documents, offers for both development and advertisement, unlike the martial families that just wanted a monopoly and discounted herbs for cultivation.
A woman was sitting at the central table, wearing a suit, with two men standing behind her—who seemed to be the mother of Alice from her face, a beauty with long silver hair.
The two in suits were also wearing very expensive-looking accessories. They carried themselves as though they were gentlemen—the mother of Alice standing to greet Amon as he entered, a show of respect, while the other tables didn't show as much.
Amon gave a polite nod to Wendy, the mother of Alice, before he sat in his place at the head of the room, with Elma sitting beside him and Rebecca to the left, opening her laptop and ready to start.
'So these annoying guys are trying to dictate my own company....'
To the left was the Lang family, who were based in the south but had a small branch family in this city—they looked like they were more about business than fighting, as they kept a clean and tidy appearance with all their silver accessories, wearing business suits and crisp white shirts.
On the right of Wendy was the Ming family, with all males and some dressed in old-fashioned robes. Even Ming Lin made an appearance, showing their lean muscles. While they were using modern weapons, they were a martial family and still had a strong presence in this city, and at least they didn't show rude gestures and sat quietly.
The man who stood in front of the table, holding a tablet computer, was Wu, the leader of the family, who had been watching Amon with interest since he entered.
"Welcome, I am Ming Wu—I believe you know my daughter?" He said, looking at me with a smile
"Hello, Master Ming—I'm pleased to make your acquaintance."
Amon waved his hand with a smile, and Ming Wu left to return to his seat as everyone except the Chen family greeted him; then, he waited for everyone else to introduce themselves and provide their proposals.
Most families were here to add weight to their bid, as they'd heard about the matter through word of mouth. Of course, some tried to give suggestions and ideas, but that was only natural—an attempt to gain a larger part of the pie.
In the end, each family received a copy of the information provided by Elma and Rebecca. Then it was time for negotiations.
Amon looked at the group on the right and smiled at their leader, Wu, who had finally given up staring at him.
"Well, our proposal is simple," Wu said, moving a few pieces on his tablet. "We offer you a partnership whereby you will work directly with us, and we will hold the majority of shares. This means the company can be run in your name with our guidance. We also seek to increase our share in this company to fifty per cent."
"WHAT!?" Rebecca couldn't help but shout, hearing the ridiculous words, but Amon's soft hand stroked her shoulder, pulling her down; he knew what they planned to use for this card, either Ming Xue's marriage or the thing with Ming Lin. Amon thought it was funny—why would his company suddenly become the product of others?
"I see—let me consider your offer while listening to the others. Please sit down."
Of course, he would wait, wanting to hear the offers from the other families; he looked to Wendy Murdock, nodding so she could continue with her proposal.
"My name is Wendy Murdock—my proposal is a simple investment... I want a small share in my daughter's name, and we shall offer both advertisement and development, which you might lack without a large family with connections to herb and resources dealers. We Murdocks are a rare Western family of cultivators. Thus, we have many exotic herbs that the Eastern ones might have already used to extinction. Please consider us, Mr Winchester!"
Wendy spoke calmly to the group as they listened to her; Amon felt a strange smile on the woman's face when she mentioned "Daughters" like she knew the truth... but if the shares truly went to those girls.
Amon didn't have a problem; isn't this giving his women their own pocket money without losing from his pocket?
Amon drew a snake beside the Ming family proposal and a cute little phoenix for Wendy's.
Next was the Lang family's proposal, but it was close to the Ming family—they wanted shares for nothing.
They would "protect" the product's authenticity... somehow foreshadowing that if he chose others, they would boycott it with these stupid claims...
Finally, the Chen family smiled and looked at the Murdock family before returning to Amon.
"We fully support the Murdock proposal and will withdraw from this competition. However, we shall always be open to supporting Amon Winchester personally should any clowns try to boycott or interrupt your product."
"Call it the least we can do for the son of our next Matriarch."
"What nonsense!? THAT Chen family, how is it related to this boy!" Ming Wu shouted, his true character showing, with the bodyguards with their eastern clothing and swords stepping forward with fierce eyes."
*Bang*
The door slammed open as a beautiful blonde woman and two older women with silver hair, but not the least ugly, followed, their bodies filled with a powerful aura. Upon seeing them, the Chen family representative showed a bow of respect, and Amon was shocked.
"Nonsense... Hahahaa! You bastards send you damn goons to attack my son's business; now try to gather other monkeys to bully and force him to give you a slave of his pie? Foolish, like ants chasing a stream of honey water to a trap!"
"Who are you to dare interrupt when we are talking, woman!"
"Me?" The beautiful blonde snorted before he left leg kicked the desk filled with tea and hot drinks in the face of the Ming family.
"I am Chen "FUCKING" Mei Ling!"
