Chapter 87 Bidding Goodbye
Over the next four to five days, David and Luna continued to explore the City of Eldoria, engaging in raids and dungeons to help Luna level up and improve her skills. They battled fearsome creatures, navigated treacherous mazes, and accumulated valuable loot along the way.
As the days passed, David couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia. He had spent almost fourteen to fifteen days in this fantasy world, and now he felt the need to return to Earth. He knew that he needed to make a quick trip back to attend to some matters on his home planet. Considering the time variance between Eldoria and Earth, he estimated that he had also spent around fifteen hours on Earth.
One evening, as they sat by the campfire, David turned to Luna and said, "Luna, there's something I need to tell you. I have to go away for a while, but I can't tell you where or why. It's something I must take care of, but I promise I'll be back as soon as I can."
Luna looked at him with a mixture of concern and sadness. "Master your are going gain? Last time you left, it was for almost nine to ten months," she said softly as sadness evident in her words.
"I know, and I'm sorry for leaving you for so long last time," David replied, regret evident in his eyes. "But this time, it won't be as long. I promise. Once I'm back, we'll go to a new nation for our next adventure together, just like we planned."
Luna nodded, trying to hide her disappointment. She trusted master and knew that he always had his reasons for his actions. "Alright, Master. I'll train hard while you're away, and I'll be ready for our next journey."
With a heavy heart, David bid farewell to Luna and left the inn. As he walked through the city, he decided to seek help from his friend Franklin, the vice guild manager of the adventurer guild. He knew that Franklin could assist Luna in finding a suitable adventure team while he was away.
"Hey, Franklin," David greeted as he entered the adventurer guild's headquarters.
Franklin looked up from his paperwork and smiled. "David, my friend! How can I assist you today?"
"I need a favor," David said. "While I'm away, I want Luna to join an adventure team. Somewhere she can continue to gain experience and level up."
Franklin nodded in understanding. "Of course, I can help with that. I have connections with several high-ranking guilds and raid teams. I'll find a team that suits her skills and abilities."
"Thank you, Franklin. I knew I could count on you," David said gratefully.
With Franklin's assistance, Luna enrolled in one of the top adventure teams. She was excited to continue her growth as an adventurer, but she couldn't shake the sadness of her master's departure.
Meanwhile, David made his way to the outskirts of the city, where he was sure no one was watching. He retrieved the special key he had received after completing quests in the fantasy world. This key granted him access to a multidimensional portal, allowing him to travel between Eldoria and Earth.
As he reached his apartment on Earth, he noticed it was already late in the evening. A familiar craving hit him – pizza and beer. He decided to order his favorite pizza from a nearby pizzeria, eagerly awaiting its arrival.
Once the pizza arrived, David sat down with a cold beer, enjoying his comfort food. As he ate, his thoughts turned to the mysterious girl he had detected at the college campus during his last visit to Earth. He had been unable to use his powerful skill, God's Eyes, on her, and it left him intrigued and determined to uncover her secrets.
As David finished his pizza and a few beers, he felt the alcohol have no effect on him due to the unique skills and body bestowed upon him by the gods. Finding the night in the apartment rather dull, he decided to venture outside. Near his apartment, there was a peaceful garden where people often came for a night stroll. David thought it would be a nice place to relax and clear his mind.
On his way to the garden, he checked the WhatsApp group he had created for people who possessed abilities similar to his. These individuals had also received blessings from the Goddess of Sex. David had created the group with the hope that they would eventually meet and share their experiences.
As he scrolled through the messages, he noticed that there were still a few days left before the planned meeting. With no other option but to wait, David put his phone away and continued on his stroll. The night was calm, and the moon shone brightly, casting a soft glow on the surroundings.
As he reached the corner of the garden where the light was dim, he noticed a young woman surrounded by four or five intoxicated men. She wore a pink crop tank top with black leggings and sports shoes, and she seemed to be in distress, trying to escape their advances. The situation made David uneasy, and he knew he had to intervene.
"Hey, guys, back off," David spoke firmly as he approached the group.
The men turned to face him, laughing at the sight of a seemingly ordinary guy trying to interfere. One of them even attempted to punch David, thinking he could take him down easily. But David merely sighed and effortlessly defended himself, swiftly taking down each one of the drunk guys who were harassing the woman.
With the troublemakers incapacitated, David turned to the woman. "Are you alright?" he asked gently.
She nodded, visibly shaken but grateful for his intervention. "Thank you," she said with a small smile.
"You should be careful around here at night," David advised, concerned for her safety.
"I know, but I just wanted some fresh air," she replied, still feeling uneasy.
"I understand. How about I escort you to a safer area? There are many others jogging on the path nearby," David suggested.
The woman agreed, and they walked together to the more crowded part of the garden, where others were jogging and enjoying their night. She felt safer now, knowing there were people around.
"Thank you again," she said, looking at David with appreciation.
"No problem. Just be careful next time," he replied with a reassuring smile.
As they parted ways, David couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction from helping someone in need
As David sat on the bench in the garden, he noticed the woman he had saved from the group of drunk men jogging quite far away. Even in the dimly lit area, he could see her clearly, thanks to his heightened senses.
She moved gracefully, her silhouette a captivating sight against the night backdrop. David couldn't help but be impressed by her strength and poise.
As she was about to leave his sight, David sighed, feeling a tinge of disappointment. He had hoped to catch another glimpse of her, to ensure she was safe and unharmed after the earlier incident. But now she was fading from his view, and he felt an inexplicable urge to know more about her.
"Maybe I'll do some time pass by checking the status of everyone here," he thought to himself, trying to distract his mind from his curiosity. With a fresh breeze blowing at night, he decided to activate his God's Eyes skill.
It was a unique ability that allowed him to scan and gather information about the people around him, providing him with a glimpse of their stats and details.
David focused his ability, scanning each and every person present and checking their Status screens. It was a way to entertain himself, but deep down, he was still hoping to find the profile of the woman he had saved earlier.
He knew she was about to disappear from his field of view and senses, so he was determined to get even the slightest information about her like at the least the name of the girl he just saved along with her Sex score etc, so he may try her out in future since she looked good.
As David sensed that the woman he had just saved was about to go out of his field of view, he quickly directed his God's Eyes skill at her, hoping to check her profile and learn more about her. However, to his surprise, the profile did not appear. Puzzled, he looked at another person in the garden, who was standing close to the jogging woman. To his relief, he was able to check the profile of this person with ease.
Determined to confirm if she was indeed the mysterious woman from the college, David once again tried to use his God's Eyes skill on the jogging female. But once again, no status appeared. It was as if she was shielded from his ability to gather information. The intrigue only deepened, and David couldn't shake off the feeling that there was something special about her.
He considered using his unique abilities to approach her directly and learn more. However, he hesitated, knowing that he was in a public place surrounded by people and cameras. If he suddenly revealed his extraordinary skills, it could attract unwanted attention.
