Chapter 44 Fury's Embrace
44 Fury's Embrace
Long Tian and Ling Han had arrived at the villa area in Tianzhou. The guards swiftly opened the gate, allowing Ling Han to park the car in front of the villa.
Stepping out of the car, Long Tian smiled as he gazed at his villa. It had only been two weeks, but he already missed the serene ambiance of this place.
He walked over to one of the guards, inquiring, "Has anything happened while I was away?"
"Nothing has occurred, young master. However, Miss Li Yue'er regained consciousness a few days ago. She put up quite a resistance and wanted to leave, but her efforts were in vain. She's currently inside," the guard answered.
"Very well, I'll proceed inside," Long Tian replied, making his way into the villa.
As he stepped through the door, he was greeted by an interior that exuded cleanliness and a pleasant fragrance. It was notably tidier compared to two weeks ago.
Long Tian ran his hand over the coffee table and found not a speck of dust.
"Looks like Li Yue'er has been keeping things in order," he mused, satisfaction evident in his voice.
Without further inspection, he made his way to the second floor, where Li Yue'er's room was located.
Opening the door, he saw Li Yue'er sitting cross-legged, surrounded by soothing music.
Sensing his presence, Li Yue'er opened her eyes. Her expression contorted upon realizing that it was Long Tian.
"So, you're not asleep? It's already 11 PM," Long Tian commented lightly, leaning against the doorway.
"You're such a bastard. Do you have any idea how lonely it was for me in this massive house? And what about my school? I'm probably expelled by now," Li Yue'er said, worry etched across her face.
"Don't worry about that. Everything is under control. You and I have been listed as high-achieving students going abroad, so your grades won't decrease; they might even improve," Long Tian said casually.
Li Yue'er fell momentarily silent at his response. Of course, she nearly forgot that the Long family owned Tianzhou High School.
"So, how long have I been here? A few days ago, when I woke up, it felt like I'd been sleeping for ages," Li Yue'er asked, curiosity in her tone.
"Two weeks," Long Tian answered lightly.
"Two what?" Li Yue'er exclaimed. "So I've been absent from school for two weeks?" She questioned in disbelief.
"Like I said before, I've taken care of everything. Besides, you were unconscious for that duration, and I ensured your safety. What if you had passed out at your own house? I know the Li family has internal conflicts. Who's to say one of your siblings or relatives wouldn't harm you while you were unconscious? And do you think your father would care?" Long Tian questioned with a deep voice.
Li Yue'er was rendered momentarily speechless by Long Tian's words. Every statement he made was true—within the Li family, she wasn't held in high regard.
Most of the Li family's descendants were male, and typically, females like her were treated as bargaining chips in marriages to families of higher status.
Even her own father, the patriarch of the Li family, didn't pay much attention, even though she was his own daughter. It was a harsh reality she had to accept.

"But I think two weeks are enough. You're feeling better now, right? I'll escort you back to the Li his own daughter. It was a harsh reality she had to accept.
"But I think two weeks are enough. You're feeling better now, right? I'll escort you back to the Li family residence. Despite their flaws, they're still your family," Long Tian suddenly said.
Li Yue'er snapped out of her thoughts at Long Tian's words, "Are you serious?" She asked to confirm.
"Absolutely," Long Tian affirmed.
Li Yue'er was somewhat taken aback by Long Tian's sudden statement. She still had many questions about her time of unconsciousness and his purpose in bringing her here. But now, she had the chance to leave this place, so she figured there was no need to ask too much.
"Alright," she agreed.
"Okay, follow me," Long Tian said, turned around, opening the door.
Yet, Li Yue'er didn't move an inch, "You're not planning to sell me, are you?" She asked.
Long Tian turned to face her, his expression carrying a quirked eyebrow, "Do I strike you as short on funds?"
"I suppose not. Still, I don't think it's necessary; I can find my way home on my own," Li Yue'er stated.
"No worries, I actually have something to attend to near your family's residence," Long Tian explained.
Li Yue'er hesitated for a brief moment, then nodded in agreement, "Alright."
Afterward, the two of them left the villa and got into the car, heading towards the Li family residence in Tianzhou.
*********
The distance between Long Tian's villa and the Li family residence wasn't too far. It had been around 30 minutes, and they arrived in front of a large housing complex.
The entrance gate was open, with no guards in sight. Without hesitation, Long Tian drove his car onto the premises.
Even in the darkness of the night, the complex was illuminated by an array of bright lights, casting a luminous glow across the area.
"Is it normal for them not to have guards? Quite bold, I must say," Long Tian remarked, his tone laced with sarcasm.
"I'm not sure. Usually, there are guards stationed at the entrance," Li Yue'er responded.
"Well, there's surely a reason behind it," Long Tian nodded.
"Alright, I'll get out of the car. Thank you," Li Yue'er said as she prepared to exit the vehicle.
Long Tian acknowledged her with a nod, and Li Yue'er stepped out of the car.
Just as he was about to restart the car's engine, Long Tian changed his mind when he noticed a young man, roughly his age, approaching Li Yue'er. Curious to see what would transpire, he decided to observe the situation unfold.
the young man quipped, positioning himself in front of Li Yue'er.
"Move aside, Li Hai. I have no intention of wasting my time arguing with you," Li Yue'er responded icily, attempting to bypass him.
However, her steps were blocked by Li Hai. "Where do you think you're going? You've been gone for over two weeks; everyone already assumed you're dead," he said with a grin.
"Don't kid around. Where's my father? I want to see him," Li Yue'er dismissed Li Hai's words and tried to walk past him.
But once again, Li Hai blocked her path.
"Can't you get out of my sight, Li Hai?" Li Yue'er said angrily, her tone rising.
"Oh, you dare talk to me like that? Take a look over there, even your father doesn't care whether you're alive or dead," Li Hai smirked, gesturing toward a building.
Li Yue'er followed his gaze. Her eyes widened, a mixture of disbelief and shock evident on her face. There stood a tombstone bearing her name and birthdate inscribed on it.
She covered her mouth in sheer disbelief. "This can't be real; I've only been gone for two weeks. How could my father..."
"That's right, everyone has assumed you're dead, Li Yue'er. You're nothing but the daughter of a whore, unworthy of bearing the Li surname. Your place is in hell," Li Hai sneered, his tone filled with scorn and disdain.
Li Yue'er's gaze turned vacant. She hadn't expected that even her father would consider her dead. Yet, she had only been away for two weeks.
All her achievements, all her efforts to gain her father's attention, seemed futile now.
Her fists clenched, she stared at Li Hai with rage in her eyes.
"So, what are you going to do? Come on, and I'll kill you," Li Hai said with a grin.
Li Yue'er couldn't contain her anger and immediately threw a punch at Li Hai.
Unfortunately, her punch was easily caught by him.
"What a fool," Li Hai grinned and promptly slapped Li Yue'er's cheek.
Slap!
Li Yue'er fell to the ground, her cheek marked by the slap.
"Know your place, you daughter of a whore," Li Hai said cruelly, his eyes gleaming with a murderous intent.
Li Yue'er tried to get up, not feeling the pain from the slap, but the pain in her heart for her helplessness.
As she looked up, she saw Li Hai's merciless face. He looked like he was truly going to kill her.
But as Li Hai was about to move his hand, suddenly a powerful force restrained him, rendering him immobile.
"What- what the hell is happening?!" He exclaimed, disbelieve etched on his face.
He suddenly heard footsteps. Looking forward, he saw a young man walking towards them.
"Who are you?" He blurted out.
Long Tian didn't provide an immediate answer; instead, he raised his hand, causing Li Hai to tumble forward and collide with the marble floor.
He extended his finger again, causing Li Hai to stand up, manipulated by an otherworldly strength.
"Now, where's the hand that slapped her?" Long Tian said coldly.
He then took a dagger from his storage ring and swiftly slashed Li Hai's arm.
In an instant, his arm fell to the ground, blood gushing out.
Li Hai's eyes widened in agony, his face contorted with pain. Unable to scream, his lips were immobilized, and he could only emit groans of suffering.
Li Yue'er, on the other hand, was shocked to see Long Tian coming to her aid and even cutting off Li Hai's arm.
Li Hai now looked pathetic, tears streaming down his face, completely tortured by the pain. Yet, Long Tian's expression remained indifferent.
He then handed the dagger to Li Yue'er. "Here, kill him," he said.
"What? Me?" Li Yue'er's eyes widened.
"If you're unwilling, I can spare him. Is that truly what you desired?" Long Tian asked with a deep voice.
Hearing this, Li Yue'er immediately remembered what Li Hai had done to her earlier. She grabbed the dagger.
She glared at Li Hai with intense anger, her gaze filled with resentment. Meanwhile, Li Hai's expression reflected shock; he shook his head frantically and groaned in denial.
Even so, Li Yue'er's hand trembled as she held the dagger. Long Tian whispered softly, "Don't hesitate, Li Yue'er, remember what that bastard did. Do you want to forgive him? Kill him as swiftly as the wind."
Long Tian's voice was like an irresistible whisper, compelling her to clasp the dagger more firmly. Her gaze now exuding a determined intent to kill.
And then, she plunged the dagger into Li Hai's chest.
Stab!
But it didn't end there; she continued to drive the dagger into his body repeatedly.
Stab!
Stab!
Stab!
Stab!
Li Yue'er's visage remained unyielding, even amidst Li Hai's agonized cries. She persisted in stabbing him over and over again.
The scene was gruesome, with splatters of blood dotting her face and Li Hai's form riddled with the puncture wounds. His expression was one of sheer terror. Remarkably, as a cultivator, he still clung to life.
"For the slap you dared to deliver!" Li Yue'er declared with an unrelenting tone, proceeding to slit Li Hai's throat.
Li Hai's shrieks of agony intensified, but they were futile; his head fell to the ground.
Li Yue'er stood amidst the aftermath, her gaze fixated on Li Hai's lifeless form without a trace of remorse.
