Temporal Pearls

Chapter 74: Copying First Painting!

Seth stiffened and then walked away from the sculpture. He can't control his body language for now, so it is better to stop looking at them.

He sat on a stool and said to the girl, "You should not call a person a liar!"

"Sorry, but that's what you did… if you don't know, I'm a human lie detector!"

"I expected as much," he said and then lay his head on the table to take a nap!"

Shabbara stared at him before she looked at their Host who was looking at her—they were Mr Silver and his brother. They have been watching the whole students evaluating their actions.

She lost interest in them and walked to her mother who was sitting in a corner watching the student too.

One hour later, everyone presented his findings and Manuella asked some questions.

"That will be all, I will give you seven days to finish the second assignment, in these 7 days classes will not hold!"

.

Sling!

"I can't believe no one passed the last test!" Seth grumbled. The way Manuella dismissed them the moment they finished presenting was foreboding, making them all shiver.

Seth was still grumbling when he opened his eyes. The wind was a bit strong but nothing he couldn't handle. The barrel still has mud water and his attire was still absorbing it.

He doesn't know the process will end but the fact his body turned to Gawee made the mud replicate itself, well it wasn't mud per se it was Gawee Mud.

He sighed and he was lost on what to do, everything was moving like a snail to the point it was unnerving him. Then his heart trembled and he looked at his Pure White Stone Will Tattoo, there was a tint of green in it.

"Shit, it was affecting me again. Not as fast as before."

He then calculated that the barrel might dry a few days from now which meant he had enough time. The only thing that prevented him from taking the clothes away was that the barrel was floating.

"So what the fuck will I do today?"

Two things popped into his mind. A Quest that required him to take a record of trees in the Forest to obtain Womb Letters and an old Quest he had even forgotten about.

______

[Quest]

~Copy First Painting 100,000 times!

[Reward]

~Glean the secret of the painting!

~First Painting Canvas Replica (F-)!

_____

It will be hard as Seth was already looking around trying to see what he can use to copy the damn painting.

He had white papers with him but… they aren't even up to 3 thousand. But 100,000 thousand was a lot. But there was a way, it never said he copied them on white paper.

His eyes lingered on some wide woods that can be used to draw some things on. But ultimately they should be flat. There are a lot of them.

His cottage for example and also the one he used to make the rudimentary representation of the former village.

"Former Village!" Seth frowned. He now doesn't mind that he was left behind for some obvious reasons, even though he was surprised every day, why would he keep this former village?

For the months he spent he understood the damn forest wanted some form of Intelligent activities in it, rather than just mindless activities of beasts.

Even when his emotions were stripped away, he was guided with his mind to do certain things around the forest that no beasts can do.

At that moment an idea clicked on him, and he smiled. That will take away the boredom for the next few days until the Attire is ready.

The Plan was two.

1~Find a source of Clay in the forest, which he already knew. identify it by heart. And use it to make a mansion

2~Cut Planks and Log to suit a smooth space that can be painted on and leave the rough ones to be used for building.

The first plan will be tedious but with Exertion Trait, he can do the simple jobs for hours without worry, only the heavy ones will exhaust him fast and he can plan those.

Seth stood before the clay spot and took note of its texture, structure, stickiness and hardness when it dried up. And then move up.

In the whole of Living Root, there was no stream or river but just water ponds that were small and these places have clay around them. That was why Seth was taken record.

He has no knowledge of making mud houses but he was going to learn to make them.

After finishing his survey he came back to the clearing And cut 100 cut planks to paint on them. But then it occurred to him. His inks will not be enough to make the whole thousands of paintings without being used.

Looking outside he has another plan. An hour later there were all kinds of juicy leaves, Seth gathered and he smashed them in motor and poor water to make a paste. Used soft cloth to obtain the green liquid and that was the ink for now.

After that, he arranged his painting materials in the cottage. To the right of him, he spread First Painting on a clean wide plank. It's still as bizarre as it used to be, even more now that Seth was staring at it lost on where to start.

And then he began to paint. Seth only knew that he was copying the first painting to the best of his ability but his mind became foggy as he went on and finished the first copy.

Then another, then another, then another, each copy took about 10 minutes to finish but by the time he made 10 copies, Seth's mind was blank as he just sat there with dull eyes.

In the real world, a lot of Nutrition Solution was pumped into his chamber to support his brain activity and make sure it did not collapse.

Unlike Womb which ran and accumulated energy with Mental Power, the First Painting needed more.

Looking at the Painting consumes Mental Fortitude—the ability of the brain to withstand impact and stress. And it also stretched the mind's reasoning and comprehension capability of the brain.

In Seth's case, his reasoning capability wasn't able to digest the complicated structure of the First Painting and that made him dull like a zombie, devoid of consciousness.

Living Root decided to invade that time, but thanks to his Pure White Stone Will, the Enthralled process was slow and also the fact that he was its Resident.
