Chapter 213: Becoming The King - Part 2: Arcane

Chapter 213: Becoming The King - Part 2: Arcane

"I am going to become Nether Land's king"

"But I don't think I will be ruling it directly."

"I will give you all ranks and you will have to rule.", was what Jay said.

This was quite a tempting offer. Who wouldn't want to rule the vast stretch of land?

Jay knew that the demon generals had many things on their minds, and despite knowing that he presented this option to them.

He didn't talk about any punishment that he was thinking about giving to them.

'Hmm, this way all the support from Acron would be withdrawn'

His plan was to attack Acron with his army while he was weak.

He knew that the demon generals were too strong and he couldn't do anything if he were to fight them for more than 5 seconds.

Then how would he fare against the demon king Acron?

1 second? He would hardly even last one second if he were to face Acron directly despite using the demon arts and the hammer of darkness.

Also, he knew one thing which he had learned from facing many beings those who are strong, wouldn't accept that someone else in front of them is stronger.

That would definitely apply to the Demon King Acron, who was a Demi-God.

Of course, why he landed in Hell and took over the place was unknown because he once inhabited Earth after all.

Whatever Jay was scheming something at the moment after all he had to complete the mission.

The demon generals accepted the offer since they considered Jay to be superior to Acron.

Of course, that was why they pledged their loyalty to him. The same was for Alon too.

They knew the way to return to earth, of course, a way that Jay wanted to see that would let him enter and exit the Netherland without actually using the key because the limit was only 5 times totally!

So this meant that, even if he were to actually become a demon king, it would be futile because he wouldn't be able to actually rule the area.

He had taken that into consideration when he said that earlier, however after re-thinking, he thought that using the way with the help of which Acron was able to cross over to earth was the best thing that he could get.

In any case, before doing that, he asked the demon generals to talk and spread his name about him returning.

That way, most generals and demon lords would just give up directly without even actually having a war.

And it went exactly as he planned. Without even actually defeating or killing the previous demon king Acron he ended up becoming a demon king just by words.

All the lords gave up the moment they received the message of the demon generals they couldn't oppose anyway so they had to lose their rights.

That didn't mean that everything went smoothly. There were many who thought that this was a false rumor and went to oppose them.

Needless to say, all of them were obliterated. Of course, this wasn't revealed to Jay because he would be bewildered after all he had come to save the people here and not actually kill them.

Whatever he assumed the position of the demon king, and as soon as he did, another task was completed.

[ Mission - Save The Netherlanders ]

[ Use the key of Nether World ] [ completed ]

[ Protect the Netherlanders from Arcane Demon Lord ]

[ Become the King of Nether World ] [ completed ]

[ Time Limit : 02:00:00:01 ( 2 days 00 hours 00 minutes 01 seconds ) ]

But he had yet to complete the second task protect the Netherlanders from the Arcane demon lord.

Jay had assumed that the demon King Acron was the one called Arcane demon lord, but he was wrong.

He came to know that when Alon finally revealed the fact that there was a little problem towards the west side.

"What did you say?"

"Demon lord Arcane is killing my men?", by that, Jay actually meant that Arcane was killing his soldiers.

Of course, when they went to relieve the message, they were completely fine, but while returning, the only thing that came back was none other than their heads.

"Why didn't the generals go!?", he asked.

He thought that if the demon generals had gone personally, then the situation could have been handled in a better manner.

Yes, it was only him thinking that. In reality, that was not the case.

Who was the demon lord Arcane?

And why was he specifically mentioned by the system?

Even the demon generals were killing people, but the system didn't mention them. Neither did it mention other demons that were killing their own kin for joy.

It specifically mentioned Arcane as if there was some sort of relation.

Arcane Demon Lord, or to be precise, the strongest demon in existence was none other than Arcane.

Demon Generals were nothing in front of him. Acron? He was just a cloud of dust when compared to him.

He was no ordinary demon he was someone who had lived for more than 1000 years which was practically impossible.

Many claimed that he was the Dark Overlord's apostle because Jay actually appeared.

Yes, that was because he seemed practically unbeatable and immortal.

His strength transcended all the demons that had ever existed, all the demons except Diablo.

The only one who could subdue him was Diablo and the Dark Overlord. No one else could even come close to him without his permission.

He had built an empire of his own thinking that he was the supreme one.

Many believed that he indeed was the dark overlord and followed him. He too started to think that and was in search of his memories which he thought that he had lost when he never had them to begin with!

Sometimes some story would come out of his mouth without him realizing and he would think it was his past when in reality, it was something that he would say on a whim while being drunk.

He didn't even have some powers as that of the Dark Overlord. In fact, his power seemed to be completely different.

He could control others like a puppet and do many acts which seemed quite unnecessary like forcing them to commit suicide just for fun.

So after hearing that there was someone else claiming to be the dark overlord, his blood boiled because of anger.

He could hardly contain himself and wanted to kill the person who announced this. Of course, other believed this and even surrendered because of which his frustration sky-rocketed.

He was planning to attack Jay with his entire kingdom however even before he could actually do that, Jay's messengers arrived.

He thought of this as a perfect opportunity to piss Jay off so he cut their heads and sent them back in a parcel.

Jay was infuriated when he saw their heads.

Tears, yes, the tears same as earlier started to drip down his eyes for reasons unknown.

Whatever the case might be, one thing was for sure, Jay had to go and show him personally who the real the Dark Overlord was.

Despite not having the biggest proof the Hammer of Darkness Arcane was acting big.

He thought that the hammer which Jay had was some other hammer that was capable of producing illusions and based on this reason, he turned many nations against Jay which infuriated him even more.

Though, there had never been such a weapon in the entire history.

"War"

Jay took a look at the time that he was left with.

'Less than 2 days', he murmured.

The time to wage war wasn't sufficient.

He had to get rid of Arcane even before the time was up only after which would he complete the mission.

Unfortunately, war couldn't take place, after all, just the preparation could end up taking a week or more.

That was not a wise option at all, therefore Jay thought that instead of a war, a one-on-one fight would be better.

However there was a problem with this too, Jay was weak. He was way too weak to even face the generals, how would he even face Arcane when he couldn't even think about defeating or even standing in front of Acron?

Although Acron was in human world at the moment for reasons unknown, Arcane was still present here.

What would be the result of the one-on-one fight was clear, Jay would lose, so he couldn't even propose this.

So just what could he do anyway?
