Chapter 118 - Meeting Odin Once Again
"Alright, alright. But just don't be a tattle tale." Fenrir said.
"Dont worry about all of that. I just want this to be over, so that I can go back. I have a few things that I forgot to do down in the mortal realm. I need to make a few preparations for the war that is coming." Lucas said.
"A few preparations? Like what?" Fenrir chuckled. "What could you possibly do to help anyone with the war? You are not exactly going to participating that actively."
"Who said anything about preparing to help? This is to ensure that after all of this, I will survive. A war doesn't just happen up above between the Gods. There will also be a fight between the minions, and this one will probably cause more destruction than the former. That is why, I need to make sure that at least a few places will be untouched from this war." Lucas said.
"You are going to make a neutral area where the war cannot be fought? That has already been tried, and no one can possibly go against the gods. You will have to offend too many of them to do something like this." Fenrir said.
"I just need to have a place which can not be struck down by divine smite, and cannot be penetrated by the gods. If the gods cannot operate in that place, then they will not be able to do anything. Without the power of the gods, the minions are practically useless. You know that." Lucas said.
"Something like that takes a long, long time to make. You understand that right?" Fenrir said. "We are talking a matter of years here before the war goes full scale."
"I know, I know. I am also not an idiot. I have taken many, many precautions. I made a silo of sorts. It is a repurposed nuclear shelter. We have enough rooms in there to bring quite a few people in. I have a few models and the like already booking their tickets to stay. I have everything that I need in there. After you separate from me for the war, I will be holed up in there." Lucas said.
"So you are saying that you are going to just stay there doing nothing, while I do the fighting? And you are also going to take credit for it?" Fenrir asked.
"It isn't like I am going to do nothing. I am also going to help. But when the actual war comes, I do not want to die almost immediately. So I am going to have to stay somewhere safe." Lucas said.
"We will talk about all of this later. Now, where are we going?" Fenrir asked.
"Let us just roam around. This is one of the biggest places in all of Asgard. There are supposed to be some interesting things in here. Maybe we can even leave this place and go to Asgard." Lucas said.
"Don't do that. Look at what you are wearing. Everyone will be staring at you once you leave this place, and it will not be kind to you once they realize that you also have me within you." Fenrir said.
"Yeah, I forget that your hometown is full of dorks who don't understand what good clothing is. But not a lot here is considered entertainment. This place is literally devoid of any technology, and the stupid people here are not worth fighting anymore. I had my bouts of fighting, and now I am bored of that. I need something else to do." Lucas whined.
"You played FIFA for a month while you were recuperating. I am sure that you can figure something out." Fenrir said.
"There is a big difference between Fifa and fighting. You see, all of the video games that I play are optimised to get me addicted to them. I will need to play those games on and on. But that is simply not the case with fighting. I just need to fight a little, and if I am satisfied, then I stop craving for that." Lucas said.
"You and your weird problems. I remember the days when every warrior would kill at a surefire way to go to Valhalla. But even though we are here, you are complaining that it is too boring." Fenrir sighed.
"Again. I did the best thing that a man could do. I just banged a Valkyrie that looked like a supermodel. And boy did I have some fun. I am sure that you were aroused as well. You had a close up HD view of it all. Surely you must also be tingling down there, just waiting to come out and have some fun of your own." Lucas laughed.
"Stop taunting me. Once I am out, there will be no girl who I fancy who will be able to escape my grasp. I will not stop at anything. There will be many, many children borne and the whole world will be in a flurry once they grow up." Fenrir started laughing.
"Stop dreaming. You know that you getting a child is close to impossible right?" Lucas interrupted him.
"I will day dream how I wish. Why do you have that compulsion to interrupt all of that?" Fenrir replied.
"Do whatever. I am going to walk around, and see what I can do in here. Let us hope that I find something fun." Lucas said.
He started walking from the bright room into a corridor. There were a lot of rooms all around him. Every single room had a number on it, and a name. Some were tagged with a brown color, and the word "Earth' was written on them.
Some of them had a blue tag with the word 'Sky' on them, and all of them numbered in the hundreds. Liu Feng frowned as he continued to walk across the corridor.
Slowly, the number count decreased, but Liu Feng knew that none of these rooms meant anything to him. They were all residential rooms, and he didn't want anything to do with them. He wanted to go somewhere except a residential room.
"Oh god! What is going on here? It is like I am in a prison. I have nothing to do except talk to myself and my cell mate. Conveniently, my cell mate is also in my head." Lucas grumbled.
"Looks like you need a release from this prison then." Lucas heard a voice pop up behind him.
"Odin. You are back." Fenrir growled.
"Of course I am back. Do you have any idea what you have done in the little time that I have let you here? More than half of my energy source that is running Valhalla is depleted, a valkyrie is inside the surveillance room naked with blood splattered, and I have eleven more hounding me to kill you. What the hell happened while I was gone?" Odin asked.
"What the hell are you so angry about? That we banged the girl that you were saving up for so long?" Fenrir taunted him.
"This is not the time to make jokes, you stupid idiot. What were you thinking? If you forced her to do something that she will regret for the rest of her life, then your life is the only thing that can balance this out." Odin said.
"That woman messed with me. As for punishment, all I did was make her see a little bit of blood. My blood, actually. What happened after that was purely mutual, and I don't think that you need to know the details." Lucas said.
"Ridiculous. Simply ridiculous. To think that such a person is actually a part of the council. I cannot believe that I agreed to this." Odin muttered.
"All of that aside, there must be a reason that you are back. You said that you were going to verify it. I know that you have your sources, and they must have confirmed whatever by now. Is that enough to warrant a response?" Lucas asked.
"What do you care though? You are probably the first person who they would take onto their side. Why are you helping us?" Odin asked.
"Maybe you forgot the last time. I want my sins to be written off, and Fenrir to be free. The both of us will help you as long as you agree to these two conditions." Lucas said.
"I knew that you would do something only for your own benefit. In fact, I am actually pretty surprised that you are still on my side. I am sure that Fenrir's father must have already approached you. I know that he is also a part of this futile resistance. You have done good in refusing his advances. But there are very few things that you can actually do to help us. That is why, I have decided that I will only agree to your demands if you do one thing." Odin said.
"And what might that be?" Lucas asked.
"Go undercover."
