The Blue Eyes

Chapter 274 - LUKE'S TOY

"Do you think Jack and the others can handle those werewolves, Brother?" Blue, who was sitting at the back seat, questioned her brother on the driver's seat.

They had left Jack, Casper, and Luke to fight with the werewolf monsters, and they immediately headed to the buried valley to save Kris.

Blue didn't say anything when Kevin started driving the car again, but now her face was painted by worries. More or less, Kevin could understand why the blue-eyed girl displayed that kind of expression.

"They won't be alone there. Calenta army has been guarding this district, so they will provide aid if needed," instead of Kevin, it was Grace who answered the young girl's question.

"You've never fought a werewolf before, so you wouldn't know how strong they are," Blue replied to Grace's statement coldly.

Grace Hasler had treated Blue and the others coldly before they finally decided to work together today, and even if Kevin had convinced them that the short-haired lady was not a bad person, the young girl still held a grudge against the head of the Intelligence Agency.

"Perhaps you also don't know that the army has modified Professor Selena's weapon, and the weapon is now more powerful. You also need to know that the army is not weak at all. I'm sure Jack and the others will be able to handle those monsters," Grace Hasler was confident with her knowledge about the weapons used by the army, but the reality on the battlefield was different.

At first, Casper looked confident when he was holding two special weapons created by Professor Selena Beischel.

["You don't need to worry, Jack. The army and Orka have collaborated to upgrade the weapons by putting the antidote into the bullets, so we can normalize the werewolf monsters right away by shooting the bullets!"]

That was what Casper said a few minutes ago, but when he used the weapons to attack the new version of werewolf monsters, the bullet successfully pierced the monsters' bodies, but it didn't give them any effect.

Instead of falling helplessly on the ground because of the special weapons, the monsters growled again and looked angrier. Those monster immediately countered their attack, and Jack had to step forward to shield the young soldier.

"Those people in the army and Orka did upgrade the weapons, but the bad people are also upgraded the werewolf monsters! They can't be beaten by the weapons anymore!"

Casper was hiding behind Jack, and thankfully, Jack was in his werewolf form, so he could protect the soldier with his body.

"Just go back to the car and help Luke with his toy, Cas!"

The werewolf monsters started attacking them with their fire powers, just like what the previous generation of werewolves did, and Jack easily countered the attack with his fire powers as well.

"That's not Luke's toy, but that's his weapon!"

Jack rolled his eyes upon hearing Casper's stupid argument. "Just go back to the car and leave me alone with these monsters! You won't be able to defeat them!"

Instead of complying with Jack's order, Casper just simply threw the useless weapons to the asphalt before taking out another gun from his pocket. "The special weapons are useless, so let me use my regular weapon."

Casper was confident as he pointed the gun at the monsters, but he looked so dumb in Jack's eyes. Groaning in annoyance, Jack used all his strength to kick the monsters, causing the furry monsters to fall on the asphalt, and he immediately turned around before picking Casper's body and throwing it on his shoulder like a sack.

"W-what are you doing, Jack! Let me go!" Casper screamed as he used his hands to bang Jack's furry body.

But, instead of listening to Casper's protest, Jack immediately brought his legs toward the car and opened the car door before throwing Casper's body into the car.

"Take care of him for me, Luke," Jack ordered before closing the car door with a bang.

He had turned his body around again and didn't hear Casper yell in the car.

The werewolf monsters stood up on their two feet again and were about to initiate another attack toward Jack, but the latter wasn't scared as he ran forward to counter the attack.

Seven monsters were attacking Jack, and Jack angrily kicked one of them in the stomach, causing the monster to fall on the asphalt again. Didn't want to stop with one attack, Jack continued his attack by punching two monsters right on the face. Those monsters fell on the asphalt as well.

Four monsters remained, and they threw fire fists at him. Thankfully, Jack was a veteran fighter, and he swiftly could dodge the attack. Instead of getting hit, Jack successfully threw four fireballs at those four monsters, accurately hitting those monsters in their stomach.

Jack was so proud when he saw the monsters lying helplessly on the asphalt. "You all are immune to the antidote, but you are still so weak just like the previous generation of werewolves."

Jack looked so arrogant as he smirked at the monsters on the asphalt without realizing that one of the monsters managed to get up from his position and was about to strike Jack's back. However, before the monster could hit Jack, the monster fell helplessly on the asphalt again.

Jack turned his head, but all he could see was the monster lying weakly on the asphalt. He brought his gaze to the sky and found a drone, the unmanned aircraft, flying above him. He smirked before bringing his gaze toward the car.

"I didn't know that your toy could be useful," Jack spoke to Luke, who was poking his head at the car window.

Luke was smirking at Jack, but then his eyes widened in surprise as he found an odd sight behind Jack.

"Look behind you, Jack!"

Jack frowned in confusion, but he still turned around to find what was behind him.. And his red eyes widened as well. The werewolf monsters suddenly transformed into red giant werewolf monsters!
