Chapter 288 - [EPILOGUE 2] THE LIFE AFTER MARRIAGE
A permanent house by the beach with lots of windows. Only a small one-story house with a veranda directly faced the vast sea. The walls were white, the doors were white, and the curtains were also white.
Entering through the main door, a gray sofa set was the first thing that welcomed you. There were a 43-inch flat-screen television, several photo frames containing the faces of two handsome men, and an aquarium containing a dozen goldfish.
Turning right from the living room, you would find a set of dining tables and chairs, and they were all dominated by silver and white color. Go a little further, and you would find a kitchen that once again was dominated by white color. There was a lot of furniture, be it cooking utensils or cutlery.
Come out of the kitchen and dining room, back into the living room, and this time, we would go to the other side of the simple house. The first thing you would see was a room filled with books, be it science books, biographies, or fiction books.
Farther into the room, there was a small bathroom that was located a little in the corner. After passing the bathroom, we finally saw a bedroom which once again was dominated by white color.
A soft bed covered by white sheets and bed covers. A pair of white pillows and bolsters also complimented the bed's existence.
A white wardrobe was located in the corner, and there was also a work table of the same color which was located next to the wardrobe. On the table, there was a laptop, several books, and a pair of reading glasses.
Ah, it looked like we missed something. On the white bed, there were not only pillows and bolsters, but two men were hugging affectionately under the thick bed cover. It had been six months since their marriage, and the two men had fulfilled their wish to build a house by the beach.
It was Kevin Beischel, a 28-year-old scientist whose body was injected with an antidote by his mother seventeen years ago. He was smart and had a strong will, and he managed to give a victory to mankind in the last werewolf war with his cunning idea. He helped mankind for the second time, and once again, humans could live in peace.
The two men's bodies stirred underneath the blanket, and shortly afterward, a hand emerged from the white blanket. The right hand was used to cover his mouth as he yawned. On the ring finger circled a unique tattoo that contained his spouse's name. The man was Kevin.
The man beside him was a little disturbed by Kevin's movements, so he pulled his right hand out from under the blanket, then clung to Kevin's naked waist tightly. On the ring finger also circled the same tattoo. That man was Kris.
December 2038. A half a year after they got married on the same beach, the house by the beach was finally ready to be occupied by the two men. It was no longer a house without electricity, but it was a house with complete facility.
"It's still early, Kev. Can you go back to sleep?" With a hoarse voice, Kris rebuked Kevin, who was trying to get out of his arm.
"What early? Open your eyes and look out the window. I want to take a shower because my body is all sticky. Who's responsible for my sticky body, huh?"
Kris chuckled without opening his eyes. His right hand that was around Kevin's waist now moved up to Kevin's naked chest, gently stroking the smooth chest.
"Why? You want me to do it again?"
And Kevin responded to the question with a heavy blow to the caramel-haired man's bare shoulder. "You are shameless, Kris. Luckily, we are alone on this island."
Right. They were alone on the island. Believe it or not, the country gifted the island to them because they had saved mankind. The island was now their private island, and they could do anything on the beautiful island.
Kevin wanted to own the island from the start. His father and mother died on the island, and for some reason, he wanted to spend his old age on the island too. That was why they both immediately built a modest house on the island.
Then, what about Blue? The girl refused it when they asked her to move to the island with them. She didn't want to be a mosquito repellent, so she chose to stay in the orphanage as the caretaker. She was in college now, but she still had the time to manage the orphanage built by Selena Beischel.
"Let me guess, you must be thinking about Blue right now, right?" Kevin asked because Kris suddenly fell silent.
Kris finally opened his eyes and propped his head on his strong elbow, intently staring at his husband beside him. "Do you think it's okay to let Blue live alone in the orphanage? She needs to study, but she also needs to take care of the kids. Will Blue be all right?"
Kevin sighed, and his left hand moved to rub Kris's cheek. "Blue is an adult, so let her choose what she thinks is good. I used to worry about Blue, but now you're the one doing it." He chuckled at the realization.
Kris laughed too, and he moved to the top of Kevin's naked body and buried his face in Kevin's neck. He took a deep inhale to enjoy Kevin's scent which made him intoxicated.
"I miss Blue a little. I feel a bit empty without a kid in our life. Should we adopt a child?"
Kevin chuckled again at Kris's words. He moved his right hand to stroke Kris's caramel hair. "Why do you like adopting children so much? You used to adopt Blue, and now who do you want to adopt?"
Kris snorted loudly at Kevin's question. He lifted his head and looked at Kevin beneath him. "Isn't there a formula to create a baby, Kev?"
And Kevin immediately hit Kris's head hard. Not only that, but he also immediately pushed Kris's naked body so that the man fell from the bed. He also picked up his clothes which were scattered on the floor, then put them on.
"Get dressed quickly. Aren't we going somewhere today?"
Kris scowled in annoyance at the order, but he still complied. He picked up some of his clothes, then put them on. "You don't want to take a shower first?" He asked after he was fully dressed.
"Just wash your face. We're late," Kevin replied.
After that, Kevin walked to the bathroom, followed by Kris behind him. They quickly washed their faces, then walked out of the bathroom with a fresher face. They immediately walked out of the house to a place.
Their clothes were very simple. Kris wore only a black sleeveless shirt and brown half-thigh shorts, while Kevin wore a white short-sleeved shirt and black sweatpants.
They walked in silence, and about ten minutes later, they arrived at their destination. It was the ruins of the hill where Joseph's laboratory was located.
Kevin looked at the ruins of the hill with a sad gaze. "It's been a year since you left me. How are you doing there?"
Today was exactly one year after the werewolf war in 2037 when his mother exploded a bomb on this island, and Kevin had completely forgiven his father. He would only remember all the goodness of his father because his father was in a different realm from him now. There was no point in him holding a grudge against the dead.
Kris glanced at Kevin, but he didn't say anything.
"The world is peaceful now because there are no werewolves anymore. Children can play happily, and adults can work in peace. I hope the three of you are also at peace now."
Kris's heart was touched when he heard Kevin's sincerity. He finally moved his hands to embrace his husband's shoulders.
"We are both happy now, and I have something to say to you, Professor Joseph," Kris chimed in. "Although you hated Allabands very much in the past, now your son has Allaband as his surname. I hope you are not angry with that."
Kevin turned his head to look at Kris, and he laughed softly afterward. "My mother will scold my father if my father dared to be angry with us."
And Kris laughed too. His two strong hands then pulled Kevin's waist until their chests touched each other, then he sweetly kissed Kevin's thin lips. However, the kiss didn't last long because a small robot suddenly jumped in between them, successfully separating the two of them.
Oh, they forgot that AZURE was also with them on the island! Who would need to adopt a child when they already had AZURE with them? They both laughed as they hugged the small robot together.
