Chapter 35 - The Most Uncontrollable Thing in the World
Chapter 35: The Most Uncontrollable Thing in the World
Translator: Ruriko
The most uncontrollable thing in the world was human heart, since it changed imperceptibly.
Wenxu Jiang was seized with remorse for his own behavior. He calmed down and blamed himself for hitting Zhishu He, who was the man he wished to protect with his life. He also blamed himself for having lovers outside even though he knew that no one would be better than Zhishu He.
When it came to the problem, it doomed to become a deep scar in their hearts.
Wenxu Jiang knew that he needed to explain something, but at this point, he lost his ability to talk sweet words to Zhishu He and also couldn’t show his fierce character in business. He could only hold Zhishu He tightly in his arms, pretending Zhishu He was not hurt and would never leave him.
Zhishu He consumed too much physical energy. Now he was in a light sleep. He seemed to still feel cold, nestling against Wenxu Jiang’s chest quietly.
Wenxu Jiang stretched out his finger and gently outlined the soft face of Zhishu He. His eyes were deep. He knew Zhishu He gave deep love and much tolerance to him. This time Zhishu must feel very wronged, which made him so resolute in the idea of leaving Jiang.
“Don’t be angry. I’ll change myself. I can give up everything except you,” Wenxu Jiang’s tone was very gentle. He was afraid of waking Zhishu He, “You can do whatever you want when waking up, but just don’t leave me...”
Wenxu Jiang thought much with Zhishu He in his arms. He was so worried and panicked. It seemed that the last thing he wanted to face was about to happen. The subconscious anxiety tortured him. A sense of oppression hit his heart and he was like a herbivore which faced unknown hunters and apprehended danger in every sound.
Finally, the doorbell rang.
Wenxu Jiang gently put Zhishu He on the bed and tucked the sheet around him before opening the door.
“Why are you so late?”Wenxu Jiang opened the door.
Jingwen Zhang, sweating on his forehead, entered the house with a medicine box, “Today is Saturday. Private doctors are not working so I came from the bar. I should tell you first, my consultation fee is double today.”
Jingwen Zhang and Wenxu Jiang were very familiar with each other, and they had friendship for seven or eight years. Otherwise, nobody was able to invite Jingwen Zhang with a bad temper.
“Cut the crap. I’ve got an emergency,” Wenxu Jiang didn’t want to chat with him at this moment.
Jingwen Zhang took off his coat slowly and asked carelessly, “So what’s wrong with you? I don’t deal with a headache or a cold. I can’t handle incurable diseases. Dealing with trauma might my major.” Jingwen’s clinic usually served gangsters, so he had managed a lot of bloody traumas.
Wenxu’s face was even more gloomy, “It’s not me. Go into the bedroom and check Zhishu.”
Jingwen withdraw the casual manner and asked, “What happened to your little spouse?”
He pushed open the bedroom door and walked in. The room was messy and there was almost nowhere for Jingwen Zhang to stand. Zhishu He was lying on the bed.
Wenxu Jiang went straight over, held Zhishu He in his arms, and then said to Jingwen Zhang, “Come here.”
“What have you done, Wenxu Jiang?” Jingwen Zhang hurried over and touched the forehead of Zhishu He, “He’s having a fever.”
Jingwen Zhang hissed softly after turning and seeing the face of Zhishu He. He looked up at Wenxu Jiang abruptly with shock in his eyes, “You did it?”
Wenxu Jiang only concentrated his attention on Zhishu He, and he saw Zhishu He wrinkle his eyebrows because of Zhang’s touch. Although his eyelids trembled badly because of uneasiness, he was too tired to open them. Jiang exhorted, “Be gentle.”
Jingwen Zhang didn’t want to wake Zhishu He up either, so he stopped questioning.
“He coughed a lot of blood, “Wenxu Jiang told Jingwen Zhang in a flat tone, and concealed the pain in his eyes perfectly.
Jingwen Zhang gently pinched open the mouth of Zhishu He. Through the oral lamp, he found many tiny wounds caused by bites. The most serious one was on the bleeding tongue. Jingwen Zhang breathed a sigh of relief because it was not an internal injury, but these wounds would affect Zhishu’s recent eating and speaking. Suddenly he thought of something. He put on a long face, looked up at Wenxu Jiang and asked, “Did you bite him?”
Wenxu Jiang did not deny it. Though he did not bite Zhishu He, Zhishu’s wounds had something to do with him after all.
Jingwen Zhang met resistance when he tried to undress Zhishu He, who was sleeping but struggling unconsciously with a tearful voice, “Don’t do that...”
Wenxu Jiang quickly hugged Zhishu He and coaxed, “Dear, let Jingwen have a look.” He feared that he had left bruises on Zhishu’s body, which Jingwen could help deal with.
“I’m cold... Don’t do that...” Zhishu He shook his head and unconsciously grasped Wenxu’s sleeve.
Wenxu’s heart softened directly. He pressed his lips and looked at Jingwen Zhang, “His upper body is all right.”
Jingwen Zhang immediately got the implied meaning of Wenxu’s words.
When dealing with the wounds below, Jiangwen Zhang was shocked although he was accustomed to such scenes, “How did so much blood come out?”
Zhishu woke up when Zhang handled the wound. Wenxu Jiang covered Zhishu’s eyes and murmured in his ear, “Don’t be afraid. It’s Jingwen Zhang. You can sleep in my arms for a while. Take it easy. My dear…”
Zhang dealt with the torn wound below for a long time. Zhishu He was too painful to lift his eyelids. Then Wenxu Jiang gently took him to the big bed in the guest room to let him have a good rest and wiped the cold sweat from Zhishu’s forehead.
“Come out, Wenxu Jiang,” Jingwen Zhang stood coldly at the bedroom door.
Wenxu Jiang tucked the quilt around Zhishu before he went out.
“Why didn’t I know you are a sadist before?” Jingwen Zhang finally couldn’t help shouting, “Don’t you know that Zhishu He has blood coagulation disorder? What the hell have you done? Do you want to kill him? Has he offended you, so you tortured him like this? ”
“I didn’t mean it.” It was very difficult for Wenxu Jiang to bow his head to others except Zhishu when he was accused by his friends.
Jingwen Zhang sighed, “I know your affairs in these two years. I think you just want a little excitement occasionally. But I’m not sure if you still love Zhishu He today. The last time I saw him was two years ago, he wasn’t so haggard and thin. How could you treat him so badly?”
Wenxu Jiang pressed his temples and said hoarsely, “I can’t let Zhishu go. I’ll break up with others quickly.”
After all, household affairs were always too difficult for others to meddle in. Jingwen Zhang could only expect Wenxu Jiang to be serious in his words. Then he changed the topic, “Do you have antipyretics in your house? I didn’t take it.”
Wenxu Jiang was boiling the kettle, “In the study. You know the place.”
As soon as Jingwen Zhang entered the study, he shivered inexplicably. After he found the medicine, he looked around, trying to find what was wrong.
When he came here before, there were many books in this room. Zhishu He loved reading poetry collections and books. There were books in the bookcase and the latest magazines on the desk. But now, there was nothing but bottles and cans.
No matter how Jingwen Zhang ignored his duty, he was still a doctor. His first intuition told him that harmless wishing bottles were absolutely filled with medicines.
However, his major was not related to medicine. One wouldn’t recall someone’s name when they were apart for a long time. Jingwen Zhang only felt that the medicines were familiar, but he didn’t remember what they were.
“The water is ready. Have you found the medicine?” Hearing Jiang’s words, Jingwen Zhang came out of the study.
Those might be new calcium tablets or something similar. Jingwen Zhang thought about this because he had recently seen a lot of bosses who kept fit by eating all kinds of strange health care products every day.
He just needed some time to remember the names of these medicines.
