As soon as the entire process reached its conclusion and the direction of the fate of the planet changed, the contents of the main quest also shifted from its previous tasks.
All the players observed the new quest with a mixture of incredulity and dubiety, wondering about a dozen things in their mind, and a dozen more to think about.
Though as primal as their instincts were in these regards, in the end, the reached conclusion was that they should just focus on what's in front of them, rather than what once was.
For them, the most important was the reward, and yes, they seemed to be satisfied with what they were getting at the end of the task.
While the players mingled, and shared their thoughts regarding whats, whens, and hows, the NPCs had a contrasting view of what transpired in front of them.
By the Gods, they were blessed. For a future that was theirs… or so is what they believed. The planet was returning to stability, the earthquakes were reduced, the dying flora waa returning to its prime, and the weaknesses were gone as if there were none.
The Gods, the two, the 'reason' for their 'rebirth' looked at the planet with the same unbelievable expression. They were joyous nonetheless for it was a joyous occasion, but the question of 'I am not dreaming, am I?' Was apparent on their faces.
In any case, they explained the changes that were brought. They scolded the people once again, and told them how 'hard' it was for them to prevent the destruction, and how much they had to sacrifice for the stability of the planet.
So will the NPCs listen to the Gods? Perhaps yes, perhaps not. And will they follow their words to the core of their hearts? Perhaps yes, perhaps not. But in the end, there was hope that things will be different, things will be better, and once again the 'idea of truth' was sown in their hearts.
"This is a bit troublesome," the Admin of the tutorial, Balthazar, had his own trouble regarding the entire situation. Even though he wanted this entire process to go as it had gone, he didn't expect the changes to affect the other areas of the tutorials. Or to be precise, the other nearby servers where the tutorial was taking place.
The changes that were happening here created a chain reaction that changed the quests of the other tutorials to match the difficulty in all the servers.
The tower, after all, doesn't allow favoritism, there is nothing special for the tower, so either they all go down, or they all go up.
Though luckily in this case, the tutorial only changed the difficulty of the quests, reducing it to a lower range, something with which the majority was happy. However it doesn't change the fact that it was going to create a wave of confusion among the higher ups, the ones that kanage the tutorials.
And being the center point that was responsible for all these changes, a headache was sure to come to Admin Balthazar, who was watching over the eye of the storm.
"Well. At least it opens up certain possibilities," Balthazar spoke as he then observed the area around him. The planets, the safe zone and the rift. Everything that was present here was a fact. A fact that the 'change' that people would normally call out as an absurdity was possible. It was certainly possible.
Everything that has happened here was of paramount importance. The mere fact that the world of the tutorial can be connected with the safe zone, opened up the possibility that the rules of the tower that everyone was blindly following can be bent. Those things that others considered as impossible, were but mere thoughts and nothing more.
It opened up possibilities that were not only limited to the tutorials but higher floors as well. Things related to the boundation of the rules set by the tower, things related with the authority of the tower, and the openings that were soon to be created within the cracks of the tower.
Soon a change was coming for the entire tower… a change, a storm or perhaps even a rebellion.
And as for the main perpetrator behind this entire change, Adrian, he was currently walking around the rift passage, eating a piece of strawberry pancake, as he looked at the texture of the passage that he created a few minutes ago.
He had no idea of what he had just done. Or perhaps he had a rough idea, but not the extent to which it will affect the tower. And if I were to be honest, it doesn't concern him much either. After all… another wave was going to affect the tower soon… about a certain God [???] that is changing the entirety of the system. One that is directly connected with Adrian, and yet, has nothing to do with him.
"I would have preferred it to be yellow," Nora spoke as she looked at the color of the pathway, though Adrian shook his head as he corrected her,"nope. Black and white is the best," and then he continued walking, checking for more ways to improve the pathway.
And as he was walking, behind him were Nora, Rosaliyah and Balthazar. Observing him with extreme curiosity, as they wondered who or what exactly Adrian was. And more importantly, who is this [???] behind him, that is capable of doing what he has just done.
