The Goblin's Leveling System!

Chapter 195: Heroes' Meeting With One Goal In Mind

Chapter 195: Heroes' Meeting With One Goal In Mind

Axel's PoV:

I received the dark orb that the God Of Worldly Systems has given to me.

I didn't know what to do with the dark orb other than eating the dark orb so that's what I did.

As I swallowed the dark orb, I felt air coming out of my mouth as I noticed a dark-colored gas coming out of my mouth.

I didn't know if eating the dark orb was the right way to obtain the [System Takeover] skill but seeing that the God Of Worldly Systems didn't react to what I was doing, I knew that it was somehow the correct method to obtain the [System Takeover] skill.

One of my skills allowed me to obtain stats and skills when I devoured the flesh of my enemy so that was why I thought that I had to devour the dark orb to acquire the [System Takeover] skill.

As dark-colored gas kept on coming out of my mouth and even my nose and ears, a burning sensation assaulted my stomach.

I didn't have to worry about my stomach being destroyed by the dark orb since it was indestructible due to one of my skills but the burning pain that I had felt was nothing to scoff at.

It should be the price of acquiring a skill given by a God or something like that since I didn't experience such things when I acquire the stats and skills of the monsters that I had devoured.

I ignored the pain as I had experienced much worse than it. One of those experiences was when I was struck by lightning when I evolved into Goblin Hero from my previous form which was Goblin.

The God Of Worldly Systems must have helped me in my former evolution of becoming a Goblin Hero since the chances of monsters evolving into a hero were very low.

The reason why it was very low was that a God was needed to acknowledge that the monster who wanted to evolve into a hero-related monster race was worthy of becoming a hero.

I wasn't worthy nor unworthy of becoming a hero since I wasn't chivalrous and notorious. The God Of Worldly Systems easily granted me the chance of becoming a hero due to his authority of being the 3rd ranking God in the leaderboards of the Gods.

Of course, that's what I had thought. I had yet to hear a confirmation from the God Of Worldly Systems himself that my assumption was correct but from my previous correct assumptions of the God Of Worldly Systems' plan, it was unlikely that I would be incorrect.

I thought of that as I took my mind away from the burning sensation that I had felt in my stomach.

The dark-colored gas that was bursting out of my mouth, nose, and ears became much darker and thicker.

I didn't know if it was the sign of nearing the time to acquire the [System Takeover] skill or the sign that I was being rejected by the [System Takeover] skill. But, one thing was certain, that sign meant that something was happening.

Either way, I had to endure the burning sensation in my stomach before I could obtain the [System Takeover] skill.

********

An hour had passed and I felt that the burning sensation in my stomach became milder and milder until I felt nothing.

"Ding! You have acquired the [System Takeover] skill! With it, I can now take over your body whenever you are unconscious or in any other situation."

Darkness Systema announced it herself about my acquisition of the [System Takeover] skill. She even mimics the system notification sound. Though, I don't know if it was her mimicking the system notification since she was the system herself.

"That's all I can give to you, Axel Everheart. For now, that is. If you are ever in need of a certain skill, just tell it to Darkness or me in our minute worth of meeting with the use of the celestial enlightenment system feature. I will send the skill to you via system task. After all, nothing is free in this universe."

The God Of Worldly Systems said as his body shine with dark and golden light. After a few seconds have passed, the dark and golden light receded and the God Of Worldly Systems' body was nowhere to be seen.

The God Of Worldly Systems had vanished into the thin dark and golden light.

I was expecting to have a conversation with the God Of Worldly Systems for as long as I wanted to but it seemed that the God Of Worldly Systems had something to do.

"Yes, Systema Kami has a lot of work to do and scheme to commit as he is a God in charge of managing the worlds through his systems. And, you also have work to do."

Darkness Systema said as he referred to the God Of Worldly Systems as Systema Kami.

Afterward, Darkness Systema snapped her fingers which caused the white space in my consciousness to crack and shatter.

"Time to wake up, host."

Darkness Systema ordered me as she forcibly expelled me from my unconscious state.

I felt a powerful force dragging me out of my consciousness and some sort of white light blinded my vision.

********

I opened my eyes and I saw an ordinary wooden ceiling. I looked to my left and saw Aerin sitting beside me on a wooden chair.

Aerin noticed that I was awake and looked at her so she suddenly hugged me while I was still lying on my bed.

"I didn't know how to wake you up! Do you know how worried I was when I saw you being surrounded by high-level monsters while having three holes in your body?! I was worried that you have died!"

Aerin yelled to me while she hugged me tightly.

I felt numerous liquids pouring on my neck and if I wasn't mistaken, it was Aerin's tears.

I made my fiancee cry. What kind of man I am? If only I was strong enough, I could have prevented her from crying and being worried about me.

I hugged back to Aerin as I felt her long silky golden hair on my hands. I also felt her melons on my chest as she tightened her hug.

"I'm sorry for making you worried. I won't do it again, I promise. Or so I hope..."

I assured Aerin but I mumbled when I spoke my last sentence.

I wasn't sure if I could prevent her from being worried about me since a war against the demons had already started.

Aerin and I spent ten minutes hugging each other before she let go and faced me while being in her serious state.

"The others are worried about you and I have heard of a rumor from the Holy Church that the demons have attacked the kingdoms."

Aerin said to me as she stood up and went to the door.

"I'll tell the others that you are awake. If, your body can't handle getting out of bed."

Aerin said as she waited for me to confirm with her about my body's condition.

"I'll tell the others about that myself. I can defeat numerous archdemons in my current condition. Also, I am planning to tell the others about our plan."

I told Aerin about my health as I went out of my bed. I used space magic to teleport myself towards the door and I opened it.

"Do you mind if I can hold your hands? It's the least I can do for making you worry about me. Or do you want a kiss instead?"

I boldly asked for Aerin's permission to either hold her hands or kiss her instead.

"Both. But, are you not possessed by someone? You have gotten bolder after you wake up as you even have the guts to flirt with me."

"I haven't been too serious about our relationship so I realized that I might as well take our relationship to another level. After all, we wouldn't know when we wouldn't be able to meet with each other again now that the world is in chaos. Here I go now."

I replied to Aerin as I placed my right hand on her cheek and reached her lips to my lips. I then nudged my lips to Aerin's lips.

The two of us kissed each other for a minute before the two of us let go of each other.

Afterward, Aerin and I exited the small house that I had built while the two of us were holding hands with each other.

The sun's rays shone brightly on my face while the fresh air caressed my cheek. It was six days that I have been bedridden so experiencing the outdoors improved my mood.

I noticed the presence of some of the junior heroes in the training grounds so I sent a telepathic message to them to meet me on the Holy Church's second floor.

I had also sent that telepathic message to the rest of my teammates and they didn't respond to my telepathic message. It's either they agreed or not.

Anyways, Aerin and I walked to the Holy Church while holding each other's hand.

After reaching the entrance of the Holy Church, I used space magic to teleport both Aerin and me towards the hallway located on the second floor of the Holy Church.

All of my teammates were on the second floor while only a few of the junior heroes had not arrived yet.

I waited for all of the heroes to arrive at the second floor until all of us heroes have assembled at the second floor.

"I hold a meeting for all of us heroes only for one thing."

I told all of the heroes present in the hallway of the second floor of the Holy Church.

"It's time to retaliate and participate in the war against the demons!"
