Chapter 87: The Rage During A Storm (2)
Chapter 87: The Rage During A Storm (2)
The recently summoned heroes went out of the Holy Church, stepped out outside, and sat on the ground while letting the heavy rain crashing down towards their heads and back.
It was a great training regime that I had taken inspiration from the cultivation novels that I had read back on Earth.
Now that I think about it, there wasn't that much of a form of entertainment in this world, and novels were rarely published since most of it was journals and guide books about sages and magics.
It seemed that I needed to at least influence this world by making all sorts of entertainment from Earth such as board games and novels.
I might not die because of the demon lords killing me but instead die of boredom.
Well, even if I tried to write my novel, I wouldn't have any inspiration on what to write.
I could only do as much as making board games such as chess or monopoly but the materials in this world might not be suitable for making entertainment games back on Earth.
It would be worth the shot but for now, I preferred to train hard and reach the peak of my power instead of wasting my time playing games.
The system had warned me and had given me an emergency task which does not sound that good since it was referring to something like an emergency and the task meant that I need to prevent it.
How can I even prevent something which I do not know about?
It was almost impossible but I could at least guess that the emergency must be caused by the archdemons who had planned to invade and attack the Holy Church.
It's a good thing I had improved and fortified the barrier that surrounded the Holy Church after the incident where Pedonar had invaded the Holy Church.
If the archdemons had planned to destroy the barrier that protected the Holy Church, then they must at least defeat me or break the barrier from the inside.
The inside of the barrier was several times weaker than the barrier from the outside.
Well, even if there was a traitor in our team, no one would be capable enough to destroy a barrier that relied on my mana as its health points.
As long as my mana wouldn't run out, then the barrier would still hold on.
The pope also had the authority to take control of the barrier so if I ran out of mana, then the barrier would still be maintained as long as the pope was still alive.
There was only a slim chance that there was a traitor in our group since Pedonar was already my slave and he wouldn't go against me unless I told him to do so.
I observed the physical status of the recently summoned heroes and it was not that bad compared to an average's person physical status.
It would have been much worst if the heroes that were recently summoned weren't talented.
Fortunately, the recently summoned heroes weren't trashed that would be beyond recyclable.
As long as I teach the recently summoned heroes some techniques and with the help of Mathew's stolen artifacts, I could build an army of summoned heroes that would be used as fodder against the army of the demon lords.
Only my teammates and I had the rights and capabilities to fight the demon lords.
We will become the heroes of this generation and our deeds would be forever written in history.
Well, I don't care whether or not people knew what I would do and even if they forget what good deeds I had done, I would still fulfill my job as a hero.
And of course, by fulfilling my job as a hero, I meant that was to kill the demon lord.
I'm not that sort who would save the world for some noble cause.
Since most of the races had deemed the demons as the root of all evil, then I will exterminate all strong demons and see if they still have that ideal.
I don't believe that demons were evil since some of them were kindhearted such as Pedonar who betrayed his father since he didn't want to dominate the world.
If I plan ongoing war against the demons, the most important aspect of our group was Mathew since he would be the one who will provide our equipment and I would be the second most important.
I would be the one who would provide intelligence and knowledge towards the other summoned heroes so that the war against the demons would be successful.
I only hope that none of us heroes would betray each other especially Mathew since his contribution to our group would be needed the most.
If he was on the enemies' side, they could use Mathew's skills to steal our equipment.
Even if I was capable of using my blacksmith techniques to create our equipment with the help of the blue-haired girl's creation magic, it would be rendered useless if Mathew decided to steal them.
So far, I only knew about three over 6 of the recently summoned heroes' cheat skills and the Gods that had summoned and blessed them.
One of them was Alex Eternalsoul who I thought had been summoned and blessed by the God Of the Worldly System.
Next was Distere Krias who I deemed to have been summoned and blessed by the God Of Cookery and also the God Of Blades.
The third one was Grace Nitoirl who I presumed to have been summoned by the God Of Creation since she showed her creation magic which was capable of creating anything as long as there was mana.
I also guessed that it was not just limited to mana.
It must be any type of energy that could be used as a medium for the transformation into the desired creation.
I ain't a genius for nothing if I couldn't hypothesize such a simple thing.
Maybe there was a summoned hero in this batch who was blessed by the God Of Destruction.
It seemed that the main 3 Gods were on the move.
If they summoned and blessed their champion or apostle, then something worst than the demons might interfere in the war.
I'm far too weak to fight against the demons so I can only support the recently summoned heroes so that they can improve the firepower of the hero party.
"I hope the demons are patient enough to wait for our improvement. If not, I'll bet anything and even my life just to defend them. After all, if they die then everything will all be in vain. Sigh..."
