Chapter 98: Expedition Towards Monster's Abode

Chapter 98: Expedition Towards Monster's Abode

I woke up and I hurriedly got up from my bed.

I used water magic to remove the dirt and odor of my body and checked to see if Aerin was awake or not.

It seemed that Aerin had long been and awake and had already gone out of the house.

I got out of the house and went to the treehouse.

I peeked through the tree house's window and I did not see Pedonar inside the treehouse.

After knowing that, I went to the training ground and no one was training there.

My last bet was the Holy Church so I used my [Flight] skill to go into the Holy Church at a fast speed.

I entered the Holy Church and I saw all of the heroes including Alex and the other junior heroes who were waiting inside the Holy Church.

My teammates were also inside and they had already packed their belongings and necessities.

"Took him long enough! Let's go, guys!"

The one who said that was Zale as he waited for my arrival and he then commanded the heroes.

After seeing that I had entered the Holy Church and hearing Zale's command, the heroes had picked up their belongings such as backpacks and weapons.

"So you were waiting for me. Why didn't you just wake me up so that we will be able to go to the Monster's Abode early?", I asked Zale.

"You had contributed most towards the battle against the archdemons! We knew that you would be exhausted from the fight you had against the archdemons. Why would we wake you up?"

"Makes sense. I had recovered all of my strength and not only that, but I also had improved my power by several folds. Even if a level 30,000 monster king would appear in the Monster's Abode then I'm confident that I can defeat it!", I boasted to Zale.

After that, the heroes and I went outside the Holy Church.

I summoned the system interface and activated the system map feature.

A translucent light blue screen appeared in front of me and the map of the Human Continent was shown.

It showed a green dot near a church icon which indicated that it was me while the green dot was surrounded by white dots.

The white dots indicated that several neutral entities were near me and it was the other heroes.

I browsed through the map by going beyond the forest that was behind the Holy Church.

"Why are you in a trance and flickering your fingers in the air, Master?"

I deactivated the system map after I heard that voice.

I doubled checked who it was and I found out that it was Alex Eternalsoul, my mentee.

"I have a skill that allowed me to explore the surroundings which were similar to a map. If you don't mind, I still haven't finished my analysis so I'll talk to you later after we entered the Monster's Abode.", I replied to Alex.

Alex nodded and so I focused on my task at hand.

I activated the system map and browsed through the surroundings that were beyond the forest including the cave that I had stayed at to perform secluded training.

I saw a place that was surrounded by a much thicker forest that was covered by several tall trees.

I had known that it was covered by several tall trees using the system map because it showed a tall tree icon compared to the small tree icon that was interpreted in the forest behind the Holy Church.

I also saw mountain ranges beyond the tall trees.

Numerous moving black dots as shown on the screen which were located beyond the mountain ranges and some of them were inside the mountains.

Multiple moving red dots covered the tall trees.

According to the system map's legend, interpreted that the red dots were hostile enemies while the black dots were threats that were deemed by the system to be dangerous.

It meant that the red dots were hostile enemies such as monsters that I was capable of eliminating while the black dots were dangerous enemies that were out of my league.

I had read from a book that I stole from the Elven Library that a mountain range that was surrounded by thick forests was an indication of a boundary.

Beyond the boundary was a place filled with strong beings that some of them were even told to be beings that had attained the demigod rank.

Demigods were beings that rivaled the demon ancestors of the demon race while some of them were even more powerful than the demon ancestors.

Let alone the demon lords that the races inside the human continent had trouble taking care of, even the feared demon ancestors were just an ant in front of a being that had attained demigod rank.

Even I couldn't imagine what would happen if a demigod broke free from the restrictions that were set by the Gods around the mountain ranges.

Legends foretold that beings inside the Lower Domain, the place where I was at now, would be restricted by the seal of the Gods if they attained demigod rank.

The only way to lift the seal was to move to the Middle Domain which was the place that was beyond the mountain range.

After entering the Middle Domain, the being who entered there wouldn't be able to go back to the Lower Domain unless they allow the Gods to place a seal on them after they passed through the boundary that protected the Lower Domain.

It would be disastrous if a demigod had managed to break the seal of the gods inside the Lower Domain since his power would be too much for the Lower Domain to contain.

A demigod's mana might be enough to cover a continent or even all of the continents inside the Lower Domain.

Even defining myself as overpowered would be an insult towards the demigods since they didn't call themselves overpowered unless they attained God's rank.

I'm getting off-topic. I needed to focus on my main task which was to scout the surroundings inside the Monster's Abode.

The thick forest that was covered with several tall trees was the Monster's Abode and so far, there weren't that many dark red dots so I presumed that it was safe to have an expedition there.

"Onwards! Monster's Abode!"

After I said that, I led the heroes towards the direction where the Monster's Abode was located at.
