67  Chapter 67- Meeting A Band Of Hunters (2)

But today they had found such a powerful monster severely injured. This was also the reason why Qing Mu felt like today was their lucky day. Not only were they able to hunt a demonic beast they would usually run at the first sign of, they would be earning big once they sold its carcass to a trader.

How could Qing Mu not smile? The demonic beasts that they normally hunted were crimson jackals and green wolves who were common in this jungle. In terms of strength, rarity and quality of materials, they won't even be able to come closer to this five horned demonic rhino.

"Leader, Luo Bu is right. The body is really heavy can't we take some rest just for a few minutes?" the other members of the band also insisted.

Seeing everyone insist, Qing Mu nodded his head and told everyone to put the carcass down and take some rest.

The group sat around the carcass and started discussing heatedly.

"Leader, how much do you think will the five horned demonic rhino sell for?" Luo Bu asked.

The atmosphere around the group was relaxed, now that they were so close to the borders of the star fall jungle, no beast would likely attack them.

Qing Mu knew this thus he didn't say anything about the lackadaisical attitude of his group.

"I don't know, I have never hunted a five horned demonic rhino before; however, I know a merchant who can give us a proper estimate. What I can tell you is that this big guy will sell for quite a lot. Perhaps a thousand yellow profound stones or we may even get to see a green stone… haha" Qing Mu explained.

"Ohhh!!" the others all made excited faces as if they couldn't wait to exchange it for money.

They discussed a few more things and just when they were ready to move again, they heard some noise coming from the bushes behind them.

"Who is there?" Qing Mu questioned taking out his weapon. The other members of the band readied their weapons too.

"Ahem… you all don't have to be so guarded I don't mean any harm" a young boy around fourteen years of age, walked out. He was wearing black linen clothes, donned a robe over his body and carried a harmless smile on his face.

He was quite tall for his age, had long black hair and a charming face that could smitten any girl. He was muscular and lean body and carried a lofty aura around him. His jet black eyes that reflected no light gave him a unique enigmatic look.

"Who are you?" Qing Mu asked in wary. For some reason, he felt his whole body shudder the moment he glanced at the boy.

From how young the boy looked, he thought that it was impossible for him to give such pressure and thus discarded it as him imagining things.

"Ah! Right, it's bad manners to talk to someone without even giving them your name. I am Yang C… Yang Yan" Yang chen introduced himself.

Midway through his sentence he remembered that he cannot use his real name because the Zhang clan might still be after him. Hence he used a fake name that he came up on the spot.

"Yang Yan? So what do want? Why did you approach us for?" Qing Mu searched for any information he had on this person. However, nothing came to his mind that was associated with this name.

'Is he only an ordinary person? No that cannot be, with that appearance and look, he is bound to be some young master of some powerful clan' he thought internally.

Yang Chen's appearance was just too odd with the place he was currently at.

"I was just passing by when I saw you guys carrying the corpse of this demonic beast. I had a few questions so I thought I might as well ask you guys" Erasing the part where he was spying on them, he really did encounter them in the passing.

He heard them talking about selling the corpse somewhere hence he got curious and came out. Yang Chen had a mountain of demonic beast corpses that he wanted to exchange for money after all.

"Leader, why are we wasting our time with him? Hey brat, I don't know which clan you belong to but stop bothering us and run back to your guardians. The star fall jungle isn't like the garden of your courtyard"

Luo Bu spoke impatiently, from his perspective Yang Chen seemed like a young master of some rich clan, who was using his resources to take a stroll inside the forest.

"Haha, you don't have to be so unfriendly. I just want to ask you a few questions, I'll leave you alone after that. How about it?" Yang Chen asked calmly.

"You!! Who do you think you are to tell us something like…"… n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Luo Bu, that's enough" Qing Mu stopped his comrade from saying anything further. He then turned towards Yang Chen and spoke with a smile.

"This young master, you said your name was Yang Yan? Please ask what question you have for us. I will try to answer it if it is something that I know".

"Eh? Alright, my first question, did you guys hunt that five horned demonic rhino?" Yang Chen was a little startled when he saw the leader of this hunter band suddenly change his attitude to a more servile one.

He thought that he would be shown a cold shoulder, so this was a surprising development for him; nevertheless, it was a welcoming one.

"Yes, that right. This demonic beast is something that our hunter party has defeated this morning and we were just on our way to carry its corpse out of the forest" Qing Mu answered with that bootlicking smile of his.

The reason for his sudden change in attitude was because his instincts were telling him that this young man named Yang Yan, was not ordinary. Even though he was facing five hunters with the strength of around Eight Star Battle Apprentice, he did not even show the slightest apprehension or fear on his face. Your support means a lot!!
