The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 117 - Hug

Chapter 117 - Hug

Without missing any chance out of the current situation, Jennifer wrapped her hand around his waist, with the intention to make him feel at ease.

She was aware that his mind and heart were still occupied by the way he protected Amaira out of nowhere.

Yet, it wasn't his fault. Even though he doesn't share his emotions with anyone, that doesn't mean he has no feelings.

"Don't feel wrong… I know whatever you did doesn't make any sense to you... but the way you protected your sister was amazing." Jennifer spoke in a sweet tone.

Her voice was like any honey, with Javier simply seized of absurd. His eyes shut mainly since he felt her hands around his stomach and her head against his hardback.

The feelings which he doesn't wish to show, and mention to anyone, but Jennifer was able to figure it out. How? His emotions and sentiments were hidden deep in the grave. Even facing Shirley, he let a small fury take over him but not totally.

"Jennifer…" a hoarse deep voice escaped his mouth but her grip didn't lose.

In contrast, Jennifer pulled him much closer and hugged him as her life was entirely dependent on him. "Don't say anything.. just telling you that no matter how bad a guy you try to portray yourself and tell that she isn't your sister... In the end, whatever you did was absolutely fine."

"I...I.. don't know." For the fact that he wished to just vanish from here and do not show his face until he controls his emotions.

Giving some time to figure out his raging heart to figure out things and come at a steady pace.

"Javier, it's okay. I'm not stopping you. Just mainly telling you that there is no need to feel guilty." With this, Jennifer stepped back and set him free from her embrace.

Taking a step back, she lifted her eyes to look at his hair.

All Jennifer intended to do was to send calmness and ease his tension and messed-up emotions via words. At least, as his friend.. she can help him with something important, and in the entire situation, she might have noted one thing which was, his family was messed up and it has a deep impact on him and his sister.

Although Charles is still not that much affected, Javier and Amaira are the real ones who have suffered. "Go ahead. You will be late for your work."

She passed him an auspicious smile when Javier turned around to look at her radiant face, which was sending peace to his heart.

A giant smile lingered on his face at the thought that she is standing here, with him at least for the now.

"I will be back very soon."

"I know. See you at night." With this, Javier nodded and turned around to leave her staring at the entrance, looking at this departing back.

Jennifer's eyes shimmered. She has no idea what the foreign feelings are consecutively making her care for an unknown man so much.

For so long she was trying to comfort herself with the mindset that it was his family problem and she shouldn't mingle with them.

After all, for how many days is she living here anymore? Not like she has to live for her entire lifetime. But things changed, so did her heart and her attitude towards Javier.

'Gosh...hopefully I won't land myself in a position where I will have to choose something difficult at the end..I don't want anything like this at all!' she can only let a sigh escape her mouth and then move back to her room.

But before that, Jennnifer walked inside the kitchen asked the butler in a warmed stone, "umm.. Can you please bring the lunch to Amaira's room? It would be better for her to have it there.."

Butler was currently working in the kitchen and was shocked to see her care so much about the young miss. Moreover, this work was never done in their household since Shirley was never interested to know if Amaira ate or not.

But keeping his position in mind and not saying anything with unusual expressions, Butler simply nodded.

"Sure Ms. Taylor. I will arrange the food in Ms. Amaira's bedroom. Would you like to have something as well?" He asked her politely.

"No...Just send the lunch to Amaira's room. That's all. thank you." saying this, Jennifer tugged her hand inside her jean's pocket and walked out of the palace.

Finding the entire palace empty, she decided to just go into her room for some time and take a nap.

As Jennifer climbed the stairs, she finally arrived at the room that Charles showed her earlier. Closing the door of the room behind her, her eyes fell on the room that was no less than any hotel itself. 'After all, he is a Johnson. He has all the comfort except for the peace for sure..'

Since Jennifer ate lunch a few minutes ago, she decided to have some rest but her mind wasn't convinced either.

Sitting on the large bed, with the soft mattress beneath it, she was totally interested as to what to do to recover boredom here.

'I don't know what my parents must be doing and… Hannah? What could have the Johnsons dealt with Smiths and his family?' She was really eager to learn but the same wasn't that easy as she earlier considered it to be.

Moreover, her mind isn't constant and stable as well. It switched with different emotions. Now that she isn't living in the apartment anymore, but with the Johnsons, Jennifer knows that she has to safeguard herself more at her personal level.

There are too many people in his state who must not like her presence at all. Closing his family situation, Mr. Shawn didn't look pleased with her presence. Alongside his wife who is no less than a monster to make a scene here and there.

A frown curved on her forehead with a sigh escaping her lips. Covering her face with her palm, she was confused about what to do in the future.

'Javier left..I'm alone. How am I supposed to entertain myself here? I don't even know any phone so through which I can talk with someone..' At the same thought, when Jennifer peaked from the middle of the hand, her eyes fell on a certain thing.

That was a laptop! An Apple laptop!

'I can use that laptop! But...
