The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 21 - What Are You Trying To Do?

Chapter 21 - What Are You Trying To Do?

No one can miss the aloofness and the cold mist in her eyes. Amelia was standing near the window where she folded her hand near her breast and looked out of their window.

David gulped down the saliva in his throat when he remembered the old past which was raised back into his brain after hearing his dear wife's words which were like a knife to his heart.

"Her identity has been a secret for so long. We have raised her as our own dear child, Amelia. This kidnapping is just to threaten Lucas for his power, there is nothing wrong in it." David tried to convince his wife, but she shook her head immediately.

"As if you know that her past has come back to haunt her now? We don't know who those people are but I hope that she doesn't come into the radar of them.."

Amelia didn't seem to think twice before she evaluated the whole situation from her suspicious gaze. Her heart wasn't entirely convinced that this was just a small kidnapping.

The line was formed in between his brows when he understood his wife's words. It would be an unspeakable disaster if her past comes because it will destroy them completely.

"I hope my wife.. this won't be the true result."

Back on the island.

Jennifer's eyes were red due to the extreme emotions that she felt at this point. It was her breaking point where controlling her sentiments was out of sense.

Javier kept his words. He made her see her whole family at once. Being away from them, it has been only two days yet it seems that she has been kidnapped for so long already.

Javier stopped the screen and moved his gaze back to Jennifer where he saw that her shoulder was down. She was shivering and trying to hold up her tears.

His heart squeezed seeing her pity face. He just wants to stand on his legs and cup her face into his hands. To say that there was no wrong. To tell her that it was alright to cry and he will simply lick all those tears.

But he had no courage to speak. At least not now because this wasn't the right time.

When the screen was once again blank, Jennifer looked down to control her tears. Back in her mind, she knew that this adventure of kidnapping will run long. There won't be any way that Lucas will stop looking for her, and Johnsons will not leave her so easily.

She can't act like a weak figure because this won't buy her anything in return. She won't be able to meet her parents until this mess gets over. Or maybe even after that, it would be troublesome.

"It is alright if you wish to cry. You have been kidnapped by me, you must be missing them now." Javier's words made her reach her limit because just when she wanted to stop herself, Jennifer burst back into tears.

When the first tear left her eyes, Javier stood and came from the back and hugged her shoulders tightly with all the strength he had. To transfer the positive vibes to feel this tight emotion, and give her his broad and hard chest to lean on.

"Let it all. Come out at once. It will not hurt anymore." His voice seemed magical to her ears. It was all true. Crying for almost fifteen minutes, no tears were let in her eyes to flood out.

Turning around, Jennifer flips her face to see his god-like face with her all red eyes and tomato-like nose.

Her heart was plagued. The discomfort was in her heart wasn't easy to remove which she currently was going through.

But her next action did take him by surprise. Jennifer buried herself into his arms, without any alarm and paid all her weight onto him which made him take a step back but hold both of them firmly so that they won't slip.

There were no cries anymore. She was simply just too occupied with mixed emotions. His scent and warmth went through her nostrils like the most delicious wine she ever tasted. Javier let her rest her face into his chest and played with her hair slowly and slowly.

To lighten her heart, he said, "You miss them a lot?" In return, he received a nod from her side.

"But you have been alone earlier also. When you went out of the states, to different countries to study. It isn't the first time you have been away from your parents."

His question was at the correct point. Yes, she has lived without her parents for a few years. It was when she left for her higher studies but that time was totally different. The situation right now was undefinable to anyone.

Jennifer left her parent's home with the mindset to explore, not to be caged on such an island. She doesn't know why but these kinds of methods are messing up her mood and current rate of change in behavior.

"I..I.. did live without them but th..this is different from that..'' Javier nodded his head but didn't stop his hand from playing with her silky hair. Not even for a second did he left her. She was sticking to him like a koala and he let her be like this. Her nose and red cheeks, which were more attractive than before, he knew how much self-control is required at this point.

God! How much her small and soft figure was attracting him? His thoughts were drifting to something else when her grip in his body tights. Jennifer pulled him closer to herself, which quite amazed him, more or less like a surprise and shock.

'Isn't she afraid of me? Suddenly she is trying to attract me?' A sarcastic scoff left his mouth when he realized the situation His body was reacting to the soft figures of hers very quickly

Her hand was firmly clinging to his body, where both the figures exchanged the warmness in between them.

"Jennifer.. what are you trying to do right now?"
