Chapter 26
Chapter 26
Atlas opened his eyes after his daily circulation of peace aura like every morning. He looked around and there wasn't his usual bed or roof of his new manor but a forest with death and destruction everywhere. Some Trees were burning, some were totally frozen. There were craters everywhere. Animals and hobgoblins lying down death. Some had many wounds and some even didn't have a single scratch but had died anyway.
It was a horrendous site to see showing power and mayhem but for Atlas, it was still not enough. He had created many attack-oriented magic symbols and teleported to the edge of the forest where he was familiar with, to experiment and practice his newly developed skills.
And he realized one thing. He was strong and powerful both in magic and mana but not experienced enough to use them wisely. He didn't know when or where to apply his newly forged combinations of symbols for the perfect outcome.
Likewise, he took a long breath and teleported to his room. It was early in the morning. The birds were already chirping outside the garden. He walked to the full body mirror nearby and saw himself covered in dust and dirt, some parts were burned, and some parts were torn with claw Marks.
"I look like a mess. Can't underestimate fifty
packs of Hobgoblins huh. They must be searching for their friends, sadly I already killed them all."
He looked closely at the mirror waving his hair a little and gave a smile to himself.
"Damn!! Not even this mess can't block my handsome self. I'm really born an angel, aren't I? Let's wash up. Can't be covered in dirt for my first day of being an assistant."
Atlas washed himself clean and freshen up, even though he had a tireless night conjuring magic symbols one after another, He was still fine and fresh. He thought he was used to it, but it always seems to amaze him every morning. If he recalled properly, in his four years of life, he hasn't slept for three years and that's a lot of time as everybody seems to lose a quarter of their life in sleeping.
He felt glad that he remembered and harnessed the aura just after his birth. He knew it would have been lost as he was slowly failing to recall the feeling of peace, as it was like a dream everybody wakes up and just forget, but he held on and recalled the feeling of peace.
As he suits up with the mask still covering half of his face. He went outside his manor, he found a carriage waiting for him, but it wasn't a simple carriage as the golden wheels and the white and gold decorations were in no way a normal carriage would have.
He looked at it with caution as anybody would, but his caution went to waste as he heard a pleasant and seductive voice coming from the carriage.
"Are you going to stay there staring or be punished for making me wait?"
The voice already confirmed who's this carriage with four buffed-up horses belongs to. He sighed and opened the white and golden palate door to enter and behold almighty, he was right.
Bela was sitting with pride, wearing a different dress altogether with a white frilly shirt which only seems to be tight in her chest area. It was so tight she had to unbutton some of them, showing her ample mountains with a deep valley. She was also wearing her usual black tight office skirt with black stockings covering her entire legs and thighs.
She looked beautiful and alluring as always, but he didn't let it affect him and had him sit across her and looked her in the eye.
"So...how do I have the honor to find the one and only Bela Diya Flora at my doorsteps?"
Bela looked at him with curiosity giving a seductive smile.
"I was wondering, why all my enchantments were disabled or possibly destroyed all around the house. That's all."
"What can I say, I'm a man who needs privacy. Can't let others sneak around me, can I?"
"Ok.... I can't say anything on that, as the manor already belongs to you, but you must also know, it was also for emergencies. We have many enemies as we have allies.
And you!! My dear assistant, you are not all that safe anymore."
Bela smiled as she gestured outside the window and Atlas followed suit.
"Look at them, you don't recognize all of them as you are new here but all around your manor. New faces keep appearing one after another like they are....."
"Watching me." Said Atlas.
Atlas sighed, thinking he really was naive just joining the merchant company like that. There was more trouble than meets the eye but, it was still worth it. More than anything, he wanted knowledge and more precisely, data. The more knowledge he covets, the smarter his system becomes which is more than necessary, equals to his strength.
And what could be a better option than the "ATC" itself, which has more information-packed inside than any kingdom or country? Hell, it has even access to a peak tier kingdom. Which was more than worth it.
"Don't worry Miss Bela. I can handle myself as You have already seen my..."
Atlas disappeared and appeared beside Bela, to see her reaction up close.
"Powers... So don't mind worrying about your....."
Atlas came even closer to Bela, his lips near her ears, letting out a bit of his lust aura.
".... Dear assistant...." he whispered.
Bela felt her insides shiver from his seductive and mind-melding whisper. Her thoughts became wild, wanting to do something naughty to him right now. Her body was telling her to have him right away, but who was she. She wasn't the everyday girl to be seduced so easily.
She controlled herself, thinking it wasn't the right time yet. Likewise, she took a long breath and pushed him to the side.
"Using your glib tongue again, aren't you?"
"Force of habit, I would say."
Atlas corrected his posture and appeared opposite of her again, sitting, showing his usual majestic behavior.
Bela looked at him up and down.
" You seem to be familiar in the ways of being noble or even a royal, I would say."
Atlas looked at her and only smiled, to which Bela also smiled giving ext ream sadistic vibes.
"If you betray me, you will not be able to run even with your blink skill. I will assure you that."
Atlas felt a shiver down his spine looking at the sadistic smile and felt a bit of regret choosing this path but let it fly away.
They talked about his duties and specifications of the merchant company. They also flirted in given moments and Atlas also relishing his aura from time to time.
After a couple of minutes, they finally reached their destination. As they both came off the carriage. They both saw guards of the royal family outside the merchant shop and became a little confused.
They both entered with Atlas being a little behind without caring about the guards as all the guards were looking down, afraid that the one and only "Madame" would do something to them.
Right after they entered. Elsa came running towards her boss.
"What's happening Elsa? Why aren't our security handing the guards outside."
Elsa with full-on panic tried to say something.
"Be..because, the..they are prin...princess Devy's guards Madame."
Bela facepalmed herself, thinking a new chore was added to her list.
'I didn't think, she would come right after her arrival. She literally came last night. I have to ...'
As Bela was walking ahead thinking, how to solve the coming storm. Atlas was still behind near Elsa with confusion plastered all over his face.
'What the.....???'
