Chapter 9:

EP 9 - Aira Gets F*cked At The End(8)

“Why? Why not?”

“Because you haven’t repented.”

“F*CK! YOU! You b*tch!”

Aira threw a pillow at him. Lucius didn’t even flinch as it hit him. He picked up the pillow from the floor and placed it back on the bed, then said.

“Get some rest today. I’ll treat your wounds later.”

“Eat this!”

Aira raised her middle finger and sneered. Lucius did not react to her defiance. Instead, he placed his hand on her head and said.

“Rest assured. No one will harm you here.”

“What are you talking about? Let me go!”

Lucius did not respond further. He opened the door and silently left, leaving Aira alone in the large room. It was then that fear truly gripped her. The anxiety of being alone, and the despair of having to endure the same ordeal again the next morning overwhelmed her.

“Euaaaaaaaak!”

A scream echoed from Aira’s room.

The next morning, Aira was dragged out like a dog by Robin. Robin still seemed unaccustomed to this bizarre punishment. Lucius stood on the platform once again.

The gathered villagers, wondering if the same spectacle would happen again, murmured among themselves as the lord dragged Aira out.

“Silence. Who dares disrupt the moment of a sinner's repentance?”

Of course, the murmuring ceased with a single stern warning from Lucius. Confirming that the townspeople had now gathered, Lucius began to speak.

“Then, today as well, we will commence Aira's march of atonement, just like yesterday. Aira, if you fall or stumble, you'll have to start over from the beginning.”

Aira clenched her teeth as she scanned her surroundings. The two who had beaten her yesterday were nowhere to be seen. Although she was still not used to being naked, she slowly took one step at a time.

With each step she took, the eyes of the surrounding men were fixated on her. Perhaps she should be thankful that the sign around her neck covered her chest. Aira walked forward cautiously, covering her private parts. One step. Then another.

Puck-!

Someone threw a rotten fruit at Aira's head. As she staggered from the impact, someone tripped her.

“You filthy w*nch!”

“You wretched wh0re!”

Aira knew exactly who those voices belonged to: the same people who had beaten her yesterday. As soon as she fell to the ground, the two men, leading a few other villagers, began to trample her. 𝔯

“Ugh! Ugh! Lord! You bas†ard! Are you really going to allow this?”

Unlike yesterday, Aira was not in a state of panic and started to confront Lucius. He stood by, watching the merciless beating unfold.

“Ahh! Ahh! H-help me! I'm going to die!”

“Stop!”

At that moment, Lucius shouted. Like trained soldiers, the villagers immediately halted and stepped back. Lucius then ordered the nearby soldiers.

“Bring Aira back.”

Aira felt her lips chapped. Her body, still not fully healed, screamed in pain. She had a new bruise on her side and felt as though her leg bone might be cracked. Limping, she was dragged back to the gate. Lucius spoke again.

“Now, let's begin the march of atonement once more.”

Aira's eyes trembled violently. Are they going to kill her? She looked down the path again. The two men who had beaten her were stood there. Aira raised a trembling finger and asked.

“Y-you expect me to walk through there? Is it okay to obstruct me like this?”

“You must endure any mockery and contempt. Only then can you become a new person.”

“F*ck

Gritting her teeth, Aira took another step forward. Fine, let’s see what happens. With each step, the thugs standing ahead seemed more intimidating. To Aira, they looked about 2 meters tall, and their fists looked as hard as iron. She closed her eyes tightly, as she approached them.

One step.

Another step.

And then.

“You filthy b*tch!”

Puck!

Puck! Puck-!

Another round of merciless beating began. As soon as the two men were within arm's reach of Aira, they tripped her and started pummeling her madly. When Aira fell to the ground, screaming in pain, Lucius once again commanded the soldiers.

“Bring Aira.”

Aira's entire body was swollen. As Lucius looked at her, he reached out and chanted an incantation. A white light enveloped Aira's body, and her wounds vanished. Aira understood what this meant, and bristled with fear.

“Let’s resume the march of atonement.”

She couldn't even die from the beatings. There was no way to finish this path. In that moment, Aira felt an overwhelming sense of despair. She could feel the malevolence in Lucius' intention to continue this until she goes insane.

When she looked up again, she saw the two men glaring at her. She had to keep walking this path. Her legs were trembling uncontrollably. When a soldier pushed her forward from behind, she gritted her teeth and closed her eyes.

Aira took one staggered step at a time forward, eventually standing before the two men again.

“F*cking b*tch!”

The kicking resumed, even more painful and torturous than before. The beating showed clear intent to kill, and Aira curled up, sobbing.

“Stop!”

Lucius shouted once more. The soldiers brought Aira back again. Aira was exhausted, both physically and emotionally. Spitting blood-tinged foam from her mouth, Aira glared at Lucius. He healed her and said.

“Resume the march.”

This continued until the afternoon work hours began. When Aira stumbled back into her room battered, Lucius followed her in. He embraced her tightly again, and she hurled curses at him.

“Just kill me! Kill me, you f*cking bas†ard!”

“I can’t do that.”

By now, Aira couldn't even be bothered to ask 'why.' She couldn’t understand why she was being subjected to this torment. She would much rather have her hand chopped off and live as a cripple. Her chest felt tight, and she was on the verge of madness, tears streaming down her face. Sobbing, she asked.

“Why.... Why are you doing this to me? F*ck… heuk... I... why are you doing this to me?”

“If you’ve committed a sin, you must repent.”

“What sin have I committed? F*ck that… is it really such a big sin? Huh?”

“Think carefully, Aira. Why are you being punished?”

“I don't f*cking know! How the hell am I supposed to know, you psycho bas†ard!”

“No, Aira. You need to think carefully. Why must you repent? Find the answer to that question. That’s your first assignment.”

Lucius released her and moved to open the door to leave. At that moment, Aira instinctively reached out to grab him. Hearing the sound, Lucius turned around.

“Ahh, no.”

Aira lowered her hand and shook her head. As Lucius closed the door, fear crept back in. The anxiety of being alone and the despair of knowing she’d have to repeat the same thing again the next morning...

“The march of atonement will commence.”

The men were gradually waiting closer and closer. At first, they waited on the main street of the village, but every day they came closer and closer. And when Aira approached, they began to beat her even more mercilessly.

Once Lucius demonstrated that as long as she wasn’t killed, she could be kept alive, the violence intensified.

“You filthy wh0re!”

“F*cking w*nch!”

The verbal abuse she heard and the physical beatings she endured shattered her spirit completely. A week passed, then another three days. Each time Aira was beaten outside, Lucius would whisper sweet words and hold her tightly inside the room. After several days of this, Aira was confronting her fear head-on.

Right at the starting point where Aira was to begin, two men were waiting for her, their jaws clenched and nostrils flaring. As Aira trembled under their gaze, Lucius spoke with an expressionless face.

“Begin the march of atonement.”

As soon as those words were spoken, the two men knocked Aira down and began beating her. After enduring a prolonged beating, Aira's eyes suddenly widened. She pushed the two men away and ran toward the lord's mansion. She banged on the firmly closed door and screamed.

“Open up! Open up! No... I hate this! Heuuuk... Huheuk... huhuheuk... Damn it... Huheuk...”

Watching her, Lucius said.

“That’s enough for today.”

Aira then returned to her room. Once there, she pressed herself against the wall and looked around warily. When Lucius followed her inside, Aira continued to watch him with a cautious gaze. Lucius asked.

“Alright, let’s start again. What wrong did you commit?”

“The mansion…. I tried... I tried to rob the warehouse....”

Aira's hands trembled as she bowed her head. Lucius said while patting her head.

“That’s right. And who are you being punished for?”

“Karl….. I'm punished…. Because of him….”

“That’s right. Very well done. But you still haven’t repented, Aira. Unfortunately, tomorrow…”

Before Lucius could finish his sentence, Aira fell to her knees and grabbed Lucius’ arm. Seeing the desperation in her eyes, Lucius asked.

“What’s wrong?”

“I’ll do anything. I’ll do anything, just please stop the march of atonement. Please, I beg you. I’ll do anything, My Lord. Please, save me. Or just kill me. You can cut off my hands or pull out my tongue. Just please stop the march of atonement.”

“No. I can’t do that. I don’t know if you’ve truly repented.”

At these words, Aira prostrated herself on the floor, pleading. But Lucius simply shook his head and turned to leave. As he was about to exit, Aira grabbed his clothes and cried out.

“Don't go!”

“Whoa.”

Lucius looked at Aira. She was sobbing, tears streaming down her face as she said.

“Don’t go. If you leave, I hear those voices. The voices of those men calling me ‘filthy b*tch’... threatening me... I hear them... I’ll do anything, just please don’t leave me alone... please stop the march of atonement...”

“You’ll do anything?”

“Yes... sob...”

Lucius locked the door. Standing in front of Aira, he unbuckled his belt.

“Suck it.”
