Chapter 4: The Agent He’s Getting Wrong (3)
Chapter 4
Ji Huan had actually secured her a job at his studio. Yin Zhizhi had taken a nine-hour flight back, rushing from the airport to the company, exhausted to death.
Yin Zhizhi would never complain about being tired. To conquer Ji Huan, the first step was to become the kind of artist he liked.
She took the company-arranged car to the studio to get her hair color changed.
It's very difficult to re-dye dyed hair back to a darker shade; it would probably take seven or eight hours to get it right.
Yin Zhizhi closed her eyes to rest, letting Tony Teacher do whatever he wanted with her hair.
"System?"
No response.
Alas, would the system not talk to her forever? Did it have to wait until the world's male lead fell in love with her before it would speak and give reminders?
Yin Zhizhi's mind was filled with so much new knowledge, knowledge that had integrated itself very well. She took out her phone and played with it.
Though it was her first time seeing such a thing, she was able to use it skillfully.
The system was so powerful.
Yin Zhizhi opened her Weibo and found that a post she made last year had been taken over.
Last year, she had posted an airport photo, then didn't update her Weibo for a year.
During her time abroad, she had used foreign software to post updates, and only her family and friends knew her foreign ID. But somehow it had been leaked, and the paparazzi found out. Domestic entertainment marketing accounts started writing that she hadn't continued at the film academy, hadn't worked for a year, and had actually settled abroad, and so on.
Yin Zhizhi took a look at the comments under the Weibo post.
[Zhizhi? Are you really not coming back to the country? We were so happy when we heard you signed with Starlight back then. Please work a little!]
[I understand Zhizhi wanting to relax, but this relaxation period seems too long.]
[A year without going to school, she must have taken a leave of absence. Signed with an agency but not working, it's a good thing she has an actress mother, an ordinary artist would have been sued by the company long ago.]
[Suspected of being an x Country citizen (dog head)]
[I suspect too, you foreigner, just roll back to your own country, don't come to our country to make money!!]
The comments were a mix of good and bad. Yin Zhizhi skimmed through a few and closed it.
At that moment, her phone suddenly pushed a notification.
#Child star Yin Zhizhi returns to the country#
Yin Zhizhi frowned. Hadn't she already told the paparazzi to delete the photos they took of her at the company entrance? How could they still make a story without photos?
Curious, she tapped into it, only to see photos of Yin Zhizhi walking out of the airport carrying her luggage.
"..."
That was the original host being photographed. She had only entered after the original host had gotten into the company car.
Yin Zhizhi couldn't help but laugh. Because the original host had even made a "yeah!" gesture at the paparazzi's camera!
No matter how much you try to prevent it, you can't prevent 'yourself'.
This notification had only been posted for less than an hour, but there were already many comments, with a few popular ones particularly eye-catching.
[Is this her rushing back after sensing the shifting winds? So is she feeling guilty??]
[Yin Zhizhi is so beautiful, gorgeous from childhood to adulthood, the glimpse of her white waist when she raised her hand to gesture "yeah" was stunning.]
[Her mother is an actress, so of course her genes would be good. This level of beauty really outshines 90% of artists in the industry.]
[She comes back when there's negative news, does that mean she wouldn't have come back if there wasn't any negative news? You signed with an agency, you should have some sense of responsibility as an artist.]
"Miss Yin, we can go rinse now," Tony Teacher spoke up.
Yin Zhizhi closed her phone, stood up, and followed him to rinse her hair. Halfway through the rinse, her assistant hurried over with her phone.
"Miss Yin, there's a call for you."
Yin Zhizhi took the phone and saw it was Ji Huan calling.
It must be about the airport photos.
As soon as she answered, she heard the man's deep voice: "Don't make any response. From now on, I'll be operating your Weibo account."
"I understand."
She answered very decisively, looking exceptionally obedient.
Ji Huan thought back to the news photo he had just seen, of Yin Zhizhi smiling and gesturing "yeah" at the paparazzi's camera. That wasn't obedient behavior.
What's done is done, nothing he could say would change it. Ji Huan didn't believe she didn't understand.
"Yin Zhizhi, if you want to continue down this path, you need to behave yourself from now on. Your rebelliousness has consequences not just for you, but for the entire team behind you. You're not a child anymore."
When Ji Huan spoke sternly, even without raising his voice, his commanding presence could be felt even over the phone.
Yin Zhizhi was getting her hair rinsed, so she lowered her voice obediently, "I want to continue down this path. I'll listen to you from now on."
Ji Huan was silent for a second, then said, "Take a photo and send it to me once your new hair color is done. After you're done with your hair, go straight home. Don't go anywhere else. I'll handle this matter and operate your Weibo account temporarily."
"Mm."
"No dinner tonight."
"...Mm."
The call ended.
Yin Zhizhi blinked a few times, then silently handed the phone back to her assistant.
Her manager was really strict.
Yin Zhizhi didn't need to do anything, but she still paid attention to how Ji Huan handled this matter.
In reality, this incident wasn't that big of a deal. The marketing accounts hadn't managed to stir up too much momentum, and the heat on Weibo headlines wasn't that high either.
Half an hour later, Yin Zhizhi's Weibo posted a response.
Yin Zhizhi Zhizhi: Let me ramble a bit. In the three months before the art exam last year, I was working. My preparation for the exam wasn't good either - I took the exam under immense pressure. Although I got into the school I wanted, I felt like a deflated balloon afterwards, completely drained. After being tightly wound up, suddenly becoming loose was really jarring. So I applied for a one-year leave of absence from school. My paternal grandfather is elderly and has been living abroad for treatment due to his heart condition. This past year, I didn't want to do anything, I just wanted to accompany the old man. So I went abroad. My leave of absence is almost over, so I've returned. I'm feeling better now.
The post included several photos of Yin Zhizhi and her grandfather - in the treatment room, in the gardens of the care facility.
These photos were clearly provided by the original host's mother.
Ji Huan's message addressed many of the controversies.
Upon seeing the happy, smiling photos of Yin Zhizhi and her grandfather, netizens were immediately moved.
[Wishing your grandfather good health~]
[It's good for Zhizhi to spend time with her grandfather, some people are just making blind guesses!!]
[I do remember Yin Zhizhi was very busy before her art exam, she's been in front of screens since childhood, she must have been under a lot of pressure.]
[I can understand that feeling, when I got into the university I wanted after the college entrance exam, I also completely collapsed. That feeling of suddenly loosening up after being tightly wound is indescribable. Going out to relax is good~]
[The grandfather looks quite well, hope he stays healthy~]
Yin Zhizhi skimmed through some of the comments, seeing that this matter had been resolved without much trouble.
After over seven hours, Yin Zhizhi's new hair color was finally done.
Her assistant, who had been waiting on the side, was getting drowsy.
Yin Zhizhi looked at herself in the mirror, very pleased. Her hair wasn't a pure black, but it looked fantastic in quality.
She used her phone's camera to take a selfie and sent it to Ji Huan.
She also sent a message: 'Do I look good?'
