Chapter 2519 Powerful Solution
Chapter 2519 Powerful Solution
The Human Summit had reached its solution phase and after the horrifying problems that the Ecologer had graciously informed all of humanity of, many of the human leaders were desperate for anything that could bring them hope.
And Rui delivered.
Solution Hellbringer was what he had decided to name his solution centered around the proto-Tree of Life. 'Proto' didn't sound good because it implied that it was incomplete and to simply call the incomplete Tree of Life 'Tree of Life' didn't sit well with Rui for it was indeed incomplete.
Thus, he called it Hellbringer. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
It was more aggressive and directly connected to the combat utility of the proto-Tree of Life. On top of that, it projected more power as a name than the Tree of Life did. Thus, it was better as the overall name of the solution.
"The Hellbringer is a model that outputs the most antithetical environment for any species by inputting its genotype and phenotype into patterns that exist across the Tree of Life," Rui explained. "The Tree of Life is simply a name for the taxonomy of the categorization of all life and how we relate to each other genetically and evolutionarily. Thus, once mastered, all Martial Artists will need to do is simply analyze any beast or monster through the protocols of the Hellbringer model, and they will be able to discern the most antithetical environment to said monster or beast."
The slide shifted once more on cue, featuring a complex flowchart that summed up the way that the model worked.
The sheer size and sophistication of the flowchart stunned many leaders, even the Martial Sages. It was easily the most complex system of thought that they had ever seen in their entire lives, by far.
Little did they know that this was still merely a simplified version of the Tree of Life. Rui had no intention of revealing this truth to them. It was best that they didn't know that he was holding back because they simply weren't capable of learning his systems of thought. "Once the Hellbringer model outputs the most antithetical environment, the Martial Artist will gain the most effective way to bring the beasts and monsters down with a small fraction of the total power that they were outputting before," Rui continued. "Antithetical environments are the most effective way to take down beasts and monsters because their power comes from their physiology, which has heavy environmental constraints and requirements. A sub-optimal environment is much more damaging to them physiologically than it is to any Martial Artist in the world."
Rui couldn't help but think back to the Elder Tree that was so helpless in its dependence on the environment that it needed to hibernate just to survive the absence of monsters and beasts upon the exodus that was the Beast Incursion. It was a particularly extreme example of the environmental constraints that Rui was referring to.
"A simple example would be the earthen basilisk," Rui went on calmly as the slide shifted to that of a worm-like scaled reptile that dug through the ground. "It takes an immense amount of energy and force to crack through its hard shell, but if you use a simple earth-bending domain that increases the drag caused by the earth, you can effectively suffocate and kill an army of earthen basilisk with less energy it would take to punch one basilisk to death. This is orders of magnitude more efficient and effective."
Rui chose this example because it was the first beast that he had ever fought in his entire life when he had been just a young Apprentice. He cringed thinking about how poorly he had adaptively evolved to the creature with his VOID algorithm back then; it wasn't even in the same galaxy of adaptive evolution that he was capable of at the moment.
Had he just known what he knew now, he would have been able to kill that beast in sixty seconds as opposed to the elaborate, inefficient, and convoluted solution he had found back then. His gaze returned to the audience that was amazed by the difference in efficiency and effectiveness that the Hellbringer model could make.
The Martial Artists of these nations and organizations were no different. They too had no idea how to weaponize the biggest weaknesses of beasts and monsters, their environment.
"That is my solution to all of you," Rui continued with a composed expression. "The power to cull the beast tides with just a fraction of the power it took up until now. This will allow each Martial Artist to fight much, much stronger beasts than themselves. While it wouldn't be enough to bridge the gap between Masters and Sage-level beasts in total, it would go extremely far in that direction.
At the very least, Masters will be able to deal with all quasi-Sage-level beasts consistently.
His words squashed some of the more desperate hopes that it would be able to entirely bridge the gap. Nonetheless, this innovation was extremely potent and helpful.
The leaders of human civilization regarded Rui with different eyes.
Eyes of gratitude and respect.
His reputation was more than well-deserved, as far as they were concerned. To think that they would be receiving such a powerful system of thought for free, a system of thought that would be priceless in any other circumstance! His solution would serve as the foundation for the survival of all of humankind.
The Martial Sages in particular were most impressed, even if they showed no outward sign of it. As highly experienced Martial Artists, they understood better than anyone just how immensely revolutionary the Hellbringer model would be as a fundamental approach to beasts and monsters, completely blowing out conventional wisdom and schools of thought.
"Now that I have informed you of the power and potency of this solution as well as the mechanism and structure of the solution, it is time to explore its downsides," Rui continued. "The first downside that many of you here have undoubtedly surmised is the difficulty of mastery. I can assure you that no Martial Artist is going to master this in the span of merely months. Especially without the right resources. Let me explain…"
