The Moon Thief

Chapter 155: Purpose Chains

Chapter 155: Purpose Chains

After thinking for a while, Heinald accepted Elly's offer; however, Achievement Points obtained would not be shared in half. If this potion formula successfully spawned a potion, he would receive 75% of Achievement Points.

It was clear that Elly alone would not be able to create a potion formula with the desired conditions. So he had pinned all his hope on Heinald, and he was well aware of it.

Elly might have been a very beautiful and attractive woman, but Heinald was too strong-willed to give up his self-interest for it. She had to accept this because she had no other choice. After all, Heinald was really going to do most of the work, so it was only natural that he would get the most out of it.

Heinald left the academy soon after saying goodbye to him. He would travel to the cities closest to the academy to continue the healing potion experiments he had been working on before, buy the necessary materials and return to the academy.

He wanted to finish his unfinished work before he started working with Elly.

He wandered the cities for days and finally managed to find all the materials he wanted in sufficient quantity. As he managed to get all the materials he wanted, he started his journey back to the academy without delay.

The first thing he did as soon as he returned to the academy was to continue his healing potion experiments without delay.

For Heinald, creating a high-rank healing potion formula was more difficult than he thought; however, he still managed to successfully brew a high rank healing potion by spending half of his newly purchased materials on experiments.

He had gone through a lot of trial and error during this process, and he analyzed every mistake he made in the best way and calculated the best way to destroy them. After a lot of effort, he finally got the healing potion formula, which he called 'Blessing of the White Angel', to the result without error.

When this potion was consumed, the person consuming it would be cured of most visceral injuries and all external injuries within 5 minutes unless the body destruction was over 80%. The purity of this potion was 75%, which was a really good rate.

If Heinald had mastered this potion well, he only wanted to brew it and sell it. He was confident that this potion would get a pretty high price tag in the market. Of course he had more valuable formulas than this potion but he just wanted to keep them to himself. So he definitely didn't want to release them and attract attention.

"According to my calculations, it looks like I can successfully brew White Angel's Blessing in only one out of five attempts with my current state. However, I'm sure I'll soon gain experience with the brewing process of this potion." Heinald scratched his chin as he looked at the potion called White Angel's Recovery in a small bottle in front of him. The liquid inside this bottle had a purple and bright color, its consistency seemed somewhat dense.

For the next few days, Heinald brewed the Blessing of the White Angel with all the ingredients he had left. Contrary to his calculations, he succeeded in only one of six attempts, but it did not depress him much. He would soon become better at brewing this potion anyway.

As a high rank potion; Blessing of the White Angel costs around 700 Arkana Stones in a single bottle. However, according to his estimation, the value of this potion should have been set at at least 12 thousand Arkana Stones. The amount he had predicted could have been more or less, but he thought it would probably be around this.

"Now I can start working with Elly." Heinald sighed.

Next was to create a strength potion formula with him. He hadn't talked to Elly about how to get the materials needed for the experiments. After all, a new potion formula did not emerge spontaneously; they had to do a lot of experimentation and so they needed a lot of material.

Heinald went to his room to talk about it with him.

"Heinald! Come sit down." When Elly saw him knock on the door and come in, she closed the notebook in front of her and smiled wearily.

"Hello! I have something to talk to you about." Heinald also smiled faintly.

"About the potion quest?" Elly asked while pointing to the comfortable chair in front of her desk.

"Yes." Heinald said, "You know, we're going to have to do a lot of experiments to produce a formula, and we're going to need a lot of materials for the experiments. How do we get those materials?"

"I think it would be more profitable for us if we could get the potions from the academy." Elly nodded slowly.

"So we'll use achievement points for ingredients" Heinald scratched his chin. In order to be able to say for sure, the materials to be used for the experiments had to be precisely determined first. Then, based on the rarity of the materials, they could most likely find the necessary materials in the academy's stockpile.

"Actually, I'm pretty short on Achievement Points as I recently copied some of the studies you need from the academy's archive. Considering that we'll be paying half the materials needed for the experiments, perhaps we can consider it a relatively easy task to collect the Achievement Points we need for the materials before we start the experiments."

Heinald had a serious expression as Elly described her situation. At first he thought of giving up because he thought it would take too long.

However, he later realized an important point; if they accepted a quest, they would go to that quest as two Level 2 Ainsars. This would give them a huge advantage in terms of strength and would also help to finish the mission more easily.

Before Ruthas Academy set up a research base in some 'dangerous' area, it would send a team of scouts there and, according to reports from them, offer missions to destroy dangerous monsters in those areas.

There were too many dangerous and unexplored regions in the Ainsar World, and the dangers had to be eliminated in order for those areas to be explored with ease.

That dangerous valley Heinald had been to before was one of those areas, but that area could be considered largely free of danger. The place had already been fully explored, but not completely freed from danger.

Heinald thought they could accept one of the best-selling monster-hunting quests on the academy's quest list. After all, two Level 2 Ainsars fighting together was no small thing.

Moreover, the academy wasn't offering missions that required a Level 3 Ainsar or higher realm anyway.

"Then we can accept a hunting mission. I think we'll get a good result if we both fight together." After a pause, Heinald nodded.

"That's right! Then let's go right now and see if there's a mission suitable for us." Elly smiled slightly and stood up.

Heinald and Elly went to the quest building to choose a quest. After reviewing current quests, they were able to find a quest suitable for them.

Their new mission was to kill  the Red Horned Iron Ox within half a year. In that region, it was stated that the greatest strength was the Red Horned Iron Ox. The power level of this beast was not far from a Level 3 Ainsar.

Still, for two Level 2 Ainsars, it wouldn't be too much trouble to kill a monster that hadn't reached the power realm of a Level 3 Ainsar.

This mission rewarded 15,000 Achievement Points. Elly and Heinald thought this amount would be sufficient to meet the supplies for their experiments.

Although Heinald wasn't sure that this amount would be exactly enough, since they had a high-purity High Rank Healing Potion to create, Heinald didn't want to get upset early and dismissed the thought.

Heinald and Elly prepared for the mission for a few days. They both brewed the potions they thought they might need during this time. After everything was ready, they informed each other that they were ready.

The Boiling Sand Region was far from Ruthas Academy. This place was located in a large plain called the Daylight Chamber. The area was generally a place that no Level 1 Ainsar would ever want to go near unless they were a large group, because too many dangerous creatures were living in that area and it was quite a large area.

Heinald went to Revakender, who lived in a large area at the back of the academy area, and waited for Elly there.

Revakender was known to everyone in the academy. While most people were quite afraid of it at first, as time passed, everyone got used to it and became interested in this supreme creature. In ancient times, dragons were much more popular creatures, but rumor has it that their numbers have dwindled considerably around the world. Moreover, some dragon lineages were said to be completely extinct.
