Chapter 38: Seeking Solution
Chapter 38: Seeking Solution
"High Rank is a spell!" Heinald had never seen a High Rank spell, and what the elder said excited him quite a bit. However, his excitement began to fade when he remembered that they had to damage the hipbone of a Magical Beast equal Level 4 Ainsar power. Almost all of the Ainsars in this tribe were Level 1 Ainsar, it seemed unlikely that they could damage the bone of a beast of Level 4 Ainsar power. However, he was still determined to give it a try.
"Elders, do you think your defense formation can prevent the upcoming attack?" Heinald calmed his excitement and asked.
"We will be honest with you, we don't know that. The power source of our formation is from our founders and is near the end of its life. While it may help us survive this attack, it probably won't help for the next attack. If we could break the Ainthros Bison's Hip Bone, we would get to the marrow and we could be Level 3 Ainsar. Thus, we would not have to fear any more, but unfortunately we don't have much hope." Elder Honyon sighed and shook his head.
Heinald and the others started talking to each other after leaving the elder's rooms. It was dangerous to stay here, but also dangerous to leave. It was the common opinion of everyone in this group. After exchanging ideas with each other, even though their hopes were low, they decided to collaborate with these people and try to deal with enough damage to the Ainthros Bison's Hipbone. If they were successful in some way, the reward they would get would be really impressive.
Heinald and the others made a Blood Agreement with the elders of the Tulan Sect after they agreed among themselves. According to this deal, if Heinald and the others helped inflict significant damage to the Ainthros Bison's Hipbone, they would be given a High Ranking spell called Lightning Dragon's Roar. This spell was transforming the surrounding elemental energy into a destructive lightning and giving it to the person's control, the spell could be used on a single target or area, but it would be much more destructive if used on a single person.
Also, another condition of the Blood Agreement was that Tulan Sect secured the life safety of Heinald and the others and could not make any moves against them. So if the bone was damaged they could not make plans to kill them so as not to share the spell. Actually, this requirement was a bit of a credibility, but Mady insisted on the addition of this condition.
"Are you ready?" Elder Yana looked at the young men beside her. He brought them to the building where the Ainthros Bison's Hipbone was located. The building was round and quite large, even the doorway was several meters long. It was protected by some kind of defensive formation. Elder Yana came next to the building's huge door and put his hand on the door. Red flames appeared in various parts of the door, and the door began to slowly open.
As they entered, they began to feel a frightening aura above them. This aura radiated from the Ainthros Bison's Hipbone. In fact, this could be considered quite normal, because it was a piece remain from a legendary beast with the power of Level 4 Ainsar was in front of them. This bone was about 6 meters high and twenty meters wide.
"How big was this bison when it was alive !?" Heinald cried out inside. When he began to examine the bone carefully, he saw various cracks and burns on its surface, but none of them were significant damages. According to him, no one living in this town could harm these bones. But maybe he could find a way by using his talent in alchemy.
"As you can see, that's all the damage we've been able to do over the years." Elder Yana sighed.
"Are there any alchemists in this town?" Heinald asked.
"One of our sect elders, Old Kajal is the best alchemist we have. Why did you ask?" Elder Yana gave him a curious look.
"I am not bad in alchemy. Maybe if we both work together we can create something effective. To be frank, I don't think we can damage this bone with our spells." Heinald spoke thoughtfully.
"Oh? I didn't know you were talented in alchemy." Morena looked at Heinald.
"Actually,it can be said that I'm pretty good at Potion Brewing. Unfortunately, this time I have to think of something different." Heinald scratched his chin.
Elder Yana assigned one of his attendants to take Heinald to Elder Kajal. The servant brought him in front of a medium-sized, three-story house, which belonged to Old Kajal and carried out all his work in this house.
When Heinald knocked on the door, an old man opened it.
"Oh? You must be one of those strangers everyone's talking about." The old man gave a small laugh.
"My name is Heinald." He bowed lightly.
"I am Kajal" He also gave a gentle nod. This old man was Level 1 Ainsar.
"Elder Yana said that you are the best alchemist in this town, and he led me here. My purpose to come here is to work with you to find something that could damage the Ainthros Bison's Hipbone." Heinald briefly explained his purpose for coming.
"Oh? Are you an alchemist too?" The old man's eyebrows rose, at the same time he gave him a hand gesture to come in.
"Yes, actually my main branch is on Potion Brewing." Heinald nodded.
"I was actually working on some kind of toxic substance that I hoped would corrode the Ainthros Bison's Hip Bone at first, but I didn't manage to make it effective enough. Later I discovered something interesting." Old Kajal's brows frowned for a moment, then returned to normal.
"Oh? What's that?" The old man in front of him caught his attention.
"The Horn of the Righides Bull!" Old Kajal looked at the young man next to him and elaborated,"Righides Bull is a Magical Beast that can use the fire element. It can collect the elemental energy needed to create fire in its horns, which caught my interest and I researched on it. I discovered that it has a structure suitable for collecting Elemental Energy within it."
"Is it a high amount?" A thoughtful expression appeared on Heinald's face. When Kajal saw his expression, he didn't say anything so as not to disturb his thinking process.
"Can I check it out?" After thinking for a moment, Heinald looked at the old man and asked. "Of course." Old Kajal nodded and entered one of the rooms. After a while he came out of the room with a large horn in his hand.
Heinald could really feel the intense elemental energy emitted by the horn. He started thinking with all his attention, actually he had an idea, but it was very difficult to carry out. However, it was not as difficult as damaging the Ainthros Bison's Hipbone with spells.
"I have to create a formation!" This idea started spinning in Heinald's mind. The formation he was going to create had to be a formation that made elemental spells in a given area tens of times more effective. If he could draft it, he would use the Horn of the Righides Bull as the energy source for this Formation. It would be a very suitable energy source because it could store it. Of course, Heinald wasn't sure if that would be enough, but maybe they'd be able to abrade the hipbone enough to reach the marrow.
Due to his perfect memory, he could remember many runes without error. However, his task this time was quite difficult, he had already made Formations that were already available before. This time it was supposed to create a new formation. Although many runes knew, he had to do a lot of work and experimentation in order to bring these runes together and produce the desired effect.
"Do you know anything about formations?" Heinald asked.
"Well... a little, I guess..." Old Kajal was surprised that this young man next to him suddenly asked such a question.
"I have an idea..." Heinald scratched his chin. As he began to tell Kajal the idea he had in mind, the old man in front of him took shape. What this young man said was unlike anything he had heard from any young man before. According to him, this young man was either a genius or a big braggart.
"This ..... Elders know more about formations than I do. Let's go talk to them." Old Kajal pointed outside.
The two left the house together and went to Elder Yana and Elder Honyon. Heinald also explained his idea to the elders, who thought it was too difficult, but agreed that it was not as difficult as damaging the bone of a bison with the power of Level 4 Ainsar. As a pleasant surprise, Morena was also knowledgeable about Formations, and she expressed her willingness to participate in the studies.
After deciding what to do, they set out to come up with a plan. Elder Yana and Elder Honyon would work with Heinald and Morena on the Runes and Seals they know. Others would cast elemental spells around the horn to store the Elemental Energy of the Horn of the Righides Bull. Thus the horn would be able to absorb and store the Elemental Energy emanating from the spells.
