Meanwhile, on the other side of Waterland City.

Rosalind Louise was lying on a soft, comfortable, beige sofa, her enchanting and elegant face was adorned with a persistent, peculiar smile.

After briefly replying to a message, Rosalind’s delicate body was curled up on the sofa, devoid of any strength.

She used her hand to cover her rosy lips, trying to stifle the laughter developing within her.

Many people thought she had a cold demeanor, but little did they know that she was someone who easily found amusement in small things.

“Pfft!”

In the end, she couldn’t hold back her laughter completely. Rosalind began to laugh out loud, her guffaws gradually filled the room.

“Hahaha…cough, cough.”

Perhaps laughing too heartily, Rosalind suddenly coughed twice. It had been a long time since she had enjoyed a good laugh like this.

Even her petite feet, which were hanging off the edge of the sofa, sprung up because of her intense laughter, revealing her beautifully arched feet, as pleasing to the eye as the crescent moon.

Before this, Rosalind had always thought that David Jones was a composed and calm individual. A unique thinker who had his own dreams, capable of rejecting money to maintain his ambitions and unwavering aspirations.

But now, she found David to be somewhat funny, a boy who feared even the bitter taste of an elixir powder.

Thinking of this, she couldn’t help but burst out laughing again.

“Knock, knock…knock, knock…” Rhythmic knocking emanated from the elegantly decorated door.

Rosalind quickly composed herself, her excited heart calmed down. Looking at the latest message illuminated on her mobile phone, she spoke softly.

“Come in.”

The clear sound of footsteps approached. A report was placed on the table, and Melody Guan succinctly stated.

“CEO Louise, the experimental results from the research institute for this month are out. All the details are in here.”

Upon hearing this, Rosalind Louise’s expression grew serious. She immediately stood up, took the stack of materials in front of her and began to read through them with a straight back.

Melody Guan remained standing, not leaving.

With all the information from the material etched in her mind, she needed to stay alert to answer any questions that her employer might have.

Ten minutes later, Rosalind purse her lips. Her gaze revealed a hint of resignation as she said in a self-derisive tone.

“It seems that the experimental report this month, like the other project I lead, hasn’t made any progress.”

Melody Guan, looking at the slightly disappointed employer, comforted her. “The fact that you successfully researched the evolved form of the Sun Ragdoll at the King level, two years ago, is already a significant achievement.” “Well, it’s only at the King level. It still falls short compared to the goal that I aim for.”

Rosalind sat on the sofa, lost in thought.

She wanted to rely on her talent to fulfill the dream her family had been pursuing for generations, instead of simply entrusting it to someone else. Even to better understand the evolution of the Titanium Ragdoll, she had purposely spent large amounts of time to become a senior researcher and pharmacist.

But when the research hit multiple roadblocks, Rosalind clearly understood that her abilities indeed had limits.

David Jones effortlessly subdued Rainbow, who was getting restless. This was ridiculous, there was nothing in this world that he couldn’t ingest.

But noticing something amiss, David looked suspiciously at Rainbow. “What’s going on? You said this thing was just so-so, why the sudden interest?” “YiYi…!”b?? ) d (It’s just okay, but it warms you up afterwards!)

Rainbow’s eyes narrowed into a slit, a smile of enjoyment spread across her face.

Seeing Rainbow’s reaction, David Jones had a gut feeling that things weren’t right. He had initially wanted to kill Rainbow’s longstanding curiosity about the Vitality Powder, but now she seemed to have developed an addiction to it! “Yi Yi.” (o’V’)o (Let me have a sip.)

Rainbow rubbed her small head against David’s palm, even utilizing her charm skills.

David had to admit, this was one of the few times he had seen Rainbow act docile, aside from when he strengthened her. It seemed she really did like this potion.

“Alright, alright, I’ll pour a little for you.”

Seeing her rare cute act, David decisively chose to comply.

He scooped up some potion with a spoon and placed it aside. He then said to Rainbow, “This one is yours.”

Rainbow first glanced at the small quantity of Vitality Powder in the spoon, then at the full bowl of the potion that David had. After going back and forth between the two few times, a look of being wronged appeared in her large, watery eyes.

“Yiyayi!” (T^v#) (You’re bullying a snake!)

Rainbow couldn’t stand it anymore. All that cajoling for just a tiny bit of potion?

Enraged and embarrassed, she quickly retreated into her blanket.

Looking at the spot Rainbow had disappeared from, David let out a helpless smile. It wasn’t that he was being stingy with the Vitality Powder.

After all, it was a potion specifically made to restore the strength of primary trainers. A small dosage was fine; he was afraid that Rainbow would have some adverse reaction if she drank too much.

David shook his head and closed his eyes, finishing the Vitality Powder in front of him in one gulp.

After finishing, his furrowed brows gradually relaxed, and smacking his lips, perhaps due to the copious amounts of rock sugar, he found the taste to be tolerable this time.

It had to be said; the Vitality Powder he made this time was incredibly effective.

After finishing it, David felt that the restored strength was enough to strengthen Dragon Crystal three or four times. However, he only put Dragon Crystal through two strengthening sessions.

After all, he still clearly remembered the lesson from the talent outburst last time.

David got up and tidied the ingredients and utensils in the kitchen before returning to his bedroom. He noticed that the spoon carrying the potion had been licked clean, not a single drop was left behind.

“This is really troublesome.” Seeing the situation, David let out a hopeless sigh. The thought of potentially having to drink a bowl of Vitality Powder every day with Rainbow, made his heart tighten. He quickly killed the strange thought.

Later, an exhausted David lay listlessly on the bed. He then reached out to pull Rainbow, who was curled up in the blanket, into his arms.

“Yiya?” (▼’?’-▼#) (What is it?)

Rainbow used her agile tail to gently hit David’s arm.

“Nothing, I just want to sleep with you in my arms tonight.” David softly said. “Yiya!” (Idon’twantto!)

Hearing this, Rainbow’s body stiffened for a moment. Her clear eyes stared quietly at David, making a soft chirping sound that seemed to show disdain. Looking at Rainbow, who had turned her head away but whose body was still close to his, David chose to close his eyes and pretend to sleep.

His pet might have been a little haughty most of the time, but he knew that she would always choose to follow his commands.

This time should be no exception..
