The Sword Deity in Tokyo

Chapter 290: The Great Ancestor

Chapter 290: The Great Ancestor

Pssst!

A strange spurting noise suddenly sounded.

After the Sun and Moon Sword had pierced through Otome Sakagami’s skull, a bizarre sound could be heard a few seconds later. Then, crimson blood rapidly gushed out of her neck like a water fountain, and suddenly, her head dropped onto the ground.

The adults around her were completely dumbfounded and frozen to the ground. Dread had entirely overtaken their senses, they were so aghast they could neither move nor make a sound.

The villagers of Sakagami Village only regained their composure when a sharp and terror-stricken shriek echoed through the air.

“Otome!” Granny Sakagami in the outer circle completely broke down in horror and grief, clutching her chest. Her countenance turned so ghastly pale, every drop of blood seemed to have drained from it. Evidently, the sudden death of Otome Sakagami left everyone absolutely stupefied.

However, everyone realized that they could not move when they tried to walk toward her. In a heartbeat, their expressions hardened.

Tarou Sakagami tried to take a single step, but his entire body no longer listened to his command. Most importantly, he felt that his bandaged wrist had suddenly bled again. It seemed that an invisible hand was forcefully gripping his wrist, trying to squeeze every drop of blood from his body.

In mere seconds, Tarou Sakagami collapsed on the ground, his entire body paralyzed. As darkness gradually blurred his vision, he felt that he would faint soon. Besides him, the other elderly villagers in the outer circle were also in a similar situation.

They were old and weak, having lost a lot of blood in the ceremony. Now that their blood was being forcibly squeezed from their bodies, they began to collapse and could perish at any second from losing too much blood. Meanwhile, the more feeble elderly villagers had long fallen into a coma.

Sei Shigeru was dumbfounded when he saw Otome Sakagami’s head falling on the ground. He looked at Kimura Kazuki beside him as he knew that this was one of his tactics. Just as he opened his mouth, the terrifying scene suddenly unfolded upon him. With a grave expression, he asked, “What’s going on, Kimura-sama?”

“You raised a valid point, how can an ordinary human control the flow of blood? Furthermore, the tactical formation that Sakagami Village used is a Human Body Tactical Formation. This kind of tactical formation is extremely evil! A mere human can never perform it, so there must be a person acting as the core in it. The core is definitely a Cultivator!” Kimura Kazuki said slowly. He stared fixedly at Otome Sakagami, as he did not believe that she would perish so easily.

He suddenly recalled the silhouette that he met at midnight yesterday. He had been wondering why he could not sense its presence. However, if that figure was merely a puppet without a human aura, it was normal that he could not detect it.

That figure feasted on blood, and coincidentally, this tactical formation utilized blood as a stimulus. Kimura Kazuki also suddenly realized that the ceremony procedure performed by Tarou Sakagami was found in Unto Shrine.

When the Majin’s seal was broken, it attached itself to a human body in lieu of traveling far away. Considering the current situation, the host must be Otome Sakagami. After all, she could have easily tampered with the artifacts in Unto Shrine.

Most probably, the so-called ceremony that Tarao Sakagami discovered was actually made up by the Majin.

“Kimura-kun, I can’t believe you saw through me.” The head that was rolling on the ground abruptly flashed a flirtatious smile, as the limp lifeless body next to it suddenly stood up.

As the headless body stood up, piercing screams echoed deafeningly through the air. Even though the people of Sakagami Village were cursed, the bone-chilling sight still made their jaws drop in pure terror.

Otome Sakagami grabbed her head and casually pressed it against the stump of her neck to reattach it, twisting it slightly into place.

Sei Shigeru recalled something when he saw it and instantly regained his senses.

Harunaka and the others turned deathly white, the harrowing scene was clearly too much to handle emotionally.

“It’s really you!” Kimura Kazuki coldly said, “So, you’re the Majin?”

“That’s right!”

“What?”

“Otome... You...”

“Impossible!”

The inhabitants of Sakagami Village could not believe their ears when they overheard the exchange between the two of them.

Otome Sakagami merely ignored the villagers. As the Human Body Tactical Formation was still progressing, these villagers would be her source of food. Once she had turned them into a source of energy, her abilities would be enhanced tremendously.

Then... If she were to suck Kimura Kazuki and the other people’s blood dry, she could perhaps reach an even higher apex of power. Just as Otome Sakagami opened her mouth to say something, a blue ray slashed across her head. Immediately, her head fell onto the ground again with a loud thud.

With her head upside down on the ground, a sinister grin appeared on the bodiless head and spoke, “It’s useless, Kimura-kun. You can never kill me. You should know from historical records in the Sakagami village. Sakanoue no Tamuramaro had to seal me away because he failed to kill me.”

Kimura Kazuki taunted with an icy cold tone. “If I can’t kill you this one time, I will kill you ten more times. If that fails, I will kill you a hundred times. No matter if it is real or fake, your supposed invincible body must have a limit. Coming back from the dead should consume your internal energy, so there must be a limitation to your trickeries. My abilities far overpower yours. You are merely a lamb that is waiting to be slaughtered. Rather than wasting your time chatting with me, why don’t you think about how to escape from my fatal grasp.”

In terms of intellect, Kimura Kazuki knew that there were many people who were cleverer than him in this world. However, with his unmatched abilities, it would be impossible for Otome Sakagami to escape from him.

Ever since his abilities grew stronger, Kimura Kazuki no longer liked to rack his brain. He preferred if he could immediately jump into action.

At first, he thought that the incidents in Sakagami Village had to be solved with brainpower. Thus, he intended to discuss them with Chiba Shiori and asked for her advice. Unexpectedly, the ceremony to dispel the curse had lured the allegedly sealed Majin out from its hiding hole.

As he was talking, Kimura Kazuki skillfully controlled the Sun and Moon Sword and unleashed an onslaught of slashes toward Otome Sakagami’s skull and her entire body.

He did not believe that she would not be affected after he killed her hundreds of times.

Sakanoue no Tamuramaro had to use the Jade of Four Souls to seal the Majin away, but it was perhaps because he was not strong enough. If he was capable, he would have been able to eliminate it.

Otome Sakagami’s expression hardened when the sword endlessly sliced at her as though she was on a chopping board. Then, she coldly grunted. “Your real enemy is not me.”

When she finished speaking, the entire Sakagami Village suddenly trembled!

Is it an earthquake?

As everyone was pondering to themselves, a loud rumble echoed from Unto Shrine on Mount Unto. Then, a gigantic silhouette suddenly landed from the sky. Clad entirely in impenetrable armor, he was holding a spear in his hand while carrying a bow and arrow on his back. He had sharp, discerning eagle eyes and a luscious, golden beard. His eyes blazed with malice as he stared at Kimura Kazuki and bellowed, “Leave Sakagami Village this instant!”

“The Great Ancestor!” Tarou Sakagami exclaimed.

When Tarou Sakagami saw this person, his knees buckled. He fell, sitting on the ground in utter shock while being on the verge of completely blacking out.
