When the world had reached a certain state of peace, they had no idea what was coming ever since that day came.

January 1st 1922,

The sudden appearance of dungeons on this fateful day thrust humanity into a perilous era. These mysterious domains initially believed conquerable through technology, proved to be far more challenging.

Creatures from the world of web novels emerged, and the fairy tales that were told to children became a grim reality.

As monsters began running rampant outside of their dungeons they began to populate areas that hadn't been touched by human hands and yet humanity struggled in fighting these creatures that towered them in both size and strength.

The world was in desperation and aid to combat these so-called monsters and as if a God from above answered their calls a phenomenon occurred as unfolded artifacts from history began to surface within the dungeons, individuals around the world also experienced a transformation as they gained powers from a dream that manifested their power from their souls. This divine blessing, a manifestation of unique aptitudes, marked the dawn of humanity's first users of power.

As people grappled with the dangers lurking in dungeons, artifacts became both a lifeline and a coveted treasure. These relics, ranging from ancient weapons to famous armour, offered the means to harness the powers granted to individuals.

The pursuit of artifacts changed the necessity of this world as those who weren't blessed with the right powers could use artifacts as the second best option for their arsenal, as those who possessed these objects gained the power of their previous holder.

The year 1922, while witnessing the birth of dungeons, also became the genesis of humanity's evolution.

As humans progressed and became stronger, the world needed associations to maintain order and balance of power. To solve this problem, they created a global association for all heroes around the world.

Each country harbors a branch that connects to the Global Heroes Association United. Many groups were formed not only to fight over the power of the rights of dungeons but also to maintain a high status for those who have reached peaks that this world has never seen before.

The great heroes of the Old Golden Era were often said to be unbeatable in terms of strength, power, and influence. During their time, they could easily beat A-Class dungeons as that was the highest level of dungeons on Earth. The powers during this era depleted drastically, and humanity never needed any more heroes during that time.

January 2012

As time passed, the old heroes' power was said to have weakened. Even though their skills and techniques remained, the world witnessed a second wave of dungeon outbreaks. This happened when it was believed that all the dungeons across the world had been conquered.

During the Towerfall Crisis, dungeons rapidly expanded, and the monsters evolved into a more primal form, making it harder to fight them directly.

This crisis led to the outbreak of monsters that rampaged through the cities worldwide.

However, the heroes of this world were able to stop them, and three main figures stood out as the most prominent among them.

As a result of this crisis, new names for this generation emerged.

Aurelia Draxen became famous for her performance on the big stage in Korea, particularly in the capital city of Seoul.

She demonstrated her incredible ability to use light to eliminate a total of 32,250 monsters within just three hours of arriving at the battle. This achievement earned her the titles of The Divine Sorceress and The Celestial One.

Navi Colombus also earned his prestige through his success in safeguarding London during a battle that lasted for 10 hours and 20 minutes.

He was able to hold down the battle and slay two S-ranked monsters that attempted to invade the city. As a result, he was given the title of The Invincible Titan.

Jaxon Cain displayed great bravery as he fearlessly fought an endless horde of monsters that were summoned through portals scattered throughout the streets of New York.

His efforts bought crucial time for the area's evacuation and secured him the enduring title of the strongest mercenary.

These three individuals were awarded medals of honour by the world for their heroic actions during an event in which many lives were lost.

Thanks to their efforts, the number of casualties was significantly reduced. Their bravery also earned them top rankings in both guilds and social status at the time.

Following the world's battle against the second catastrophic outbreak, a new crisis unfolded with the sudden appearance of four towers globally.

Humanity, gripped by panic, united once more to decipher the mysteries of these towers. Countries dispatched their best guilds to see the purpose of these structures.

One common feature stood out—they all possessed a unique window dashboard. These interfaces, found within the towers, assisted individuals in enhancing their power and conquering the tower itself.

Reports from guilds around the world revealed that each tower had a designated name. The four names assigned to these structures were: The Tower of Destruction, The Tower of Chaos, The Tower of Evil, and The Tower of the Abyss.

Within the confines of these towers, the interior diverged significantly from their external appearance. A whole different world awaited within, each with its unique objectives.

The primary goal for adventurers within these towers was to ascend to the top and defeat the looming threat.

It was rumoured that failure to conquer these towers within the next 15 years would trigger a catastrophic event. ***

[Pinnacle Academy Lecture Room 1-A]

[Thursday, 2:00 pm]

"Alright, class, just a reminder that the theory we will be learning for the next 3 weeks will be in the upcoming exam for this semester for school, so make sure you get all the information down or you will be getting sent home to your parents as a failure." Kolek's voice echoed throughout the room as everyone seemed to have locked in, getting their laptops and notes ready for this crucial lesson.

Stareeeeeeeeee

However, I couldn't help but feel like someone was staring at me for some reason. I turned around and glanced towards the section where Alice was, and she seemed to be whistling in a mindless tone—fidgety for a calm and composed character?

"REL!" Kolek yelled. "Just because you returned from injury doesn't excuse you from wandering your eyes off to Alice however you like!" Kolek's tone remained serious as usual.

Huh? My face turned to Kolek as I clearly heard him stating the obvious, but I wasn't doing that on purpose.

Then a murmur of talk began emerging from the class.

"Does Rel like Alice?"

"There's no way someone like him is good enough right?"

"Alice is smart after all so it's only obvious he likes her that way lol."

[Quite the embarrassing moment, Mr. Axel D: 25 PPP has been added.]

Tch, you don't say, huh? I could die right here and still feel nothing since I was the only one who didn't have anything out, so you could say that I had nothing to do but look around.

[50 minutes later]

RINGGGGG

"Okay, students, class is over for today. If you have club activities today, be sure to attend their meetings," Kolek said.

Oh, that does remind me, the breakfast club travel event should be a week from now, so I would need to prepare luggage in advance.

Sunlight streamed through the club room's expansive windows, casting long shadows on the polished floor.

I pushed open the door, its creak the only sound in the silent haven. As I looked around at how big this room was I would pay to live in this place.

The monster flat screen in the corner, its dark surface reflecting the pristine room like a mirror. The club meeting table stood on the right side, flanked by whiteboards waiting to be written on about our trips around the world. A row of gaming Pc's hummed their quiet vigil in the corner, their screens dark.

There was also a snack bar, usually groaning under mountains of pizza pockets and gummy bear empires, Even a mini-fridge as well holy shit. This wasn't the club room I wrote but I'm not complaining either.

I snagged a chair at the oak table, As I waited for the others to come in.

FWANG!
