The Tycoon's Odyssey

Chapter 147: 147:Quantum And Nuclear Cells

Returning late at night, Evan cleaned himself thoroughly and settled in for a comfortable rest. Though his body wasn't overly tired, his mind was.

He felt old, burdened by a sense of alienation.

Was this his first?

Certainly no…

But this was surely his first brutal fight.

Now, he somehow understood why people who kill and see so many deaths carry that usually distinct aura.

It seems that this was the final piece he needed to unlock to significantly boost his charisma.

After 15 hours of comfortable rest, Evan woke up to find his body aching from the strain. After freshening up, he headed to the basement, only to be interrupted by a notification from Aurora.

[Sir, you have a message.]

"What is it?"

Aurora's voice cut through Evan's concentration.

[Sir, Noah has invited you to the banquet.]

Evan looked up, momentarily surprised. "Noah? When did the invitation come?"

Aurora continued, [The invitation came yesterday but due to your focus on eliminating the thugs, I decided to wait until things cleared up.]

"That was a good call, but if something like that trouble pops up again, inform me immediately. So, what's the occasion for the banquet?"

[Engagement,] Aurora replied.

"WHAT!"

Evan's curiosity was piqued. "What the hell is going on? Who is the bride?"

[Noah didn't provide many details, but it's a significant event for him. He's personally handling the arrangements,] Aurora replied.

[However, I picked up a few clues. So, will you attend the event?]

"Of course I will. I can't miss such an opportunity," Evan responded with a deadly smile.

He could already guess the man's true intent behind the invitation.

This was surely a move to harm him.

So be it!

He will play along.

Evan considered the invitation, his mind weighing the implications. "Inform Noah that I'll attend. Make sure that our presence is noted."

Aurora nodded. "I'll send the confirmation right away."

In a bar's private room, Noah reclined with an air of calm superiority, a charismatic smile playing on his lips.

With his head lowered John poured him a drink with practiced ease.

The room was heavy with a sense of solemnity and anticipation, reflected in the eyes of John, Ken, and Jasper—Noah's loyal sidekicks and dogs.

With his face reflecting a mixture of eagerness and anxiety, Ken broke the silence. "Will he accept the invitation?"

Noah chuckled softly, his sound almost like a mock. "Of course he will. He has no choice. If he refuses, he risks being ostracized from the upper circles of Utkal. Only a fool would turn down such an opportunity."

Jasper leaned forward, his eyes gleaming with a mix of malice and anticipation. "So, we will humiliate him?"

"No worries," Noah replied smoothly, taking a sip of his drink. "I'll make sure that he never forgets this day."

Ken's face twisted into a grimace as he recalled the humiliation he suffered at Evan's hands. The memory of Evan's brutal kick in his nuts still lingered vividly along with the days of pain and fear of not being able to use his little brother that followed, fueled his anger. It was at that moment when he felt the future of his wife and children flashed before his eyes.

He was determined to properly have his revenge and for that, even if it meant that he had to lick and clean Noah's shoes.

"Let's make sure he has no face left to show. I want him to be thoroughly discredited," Ken added with a sinister smile.

Noah's grin widened, his eyes cold and calculating. "Rest assured, we'll make sure he regrets ever setting foot in this banquet. That day, he will learn the price of crossing us."

The three men exchanged eager glances, their anticipation palpable.

As the conversation continued, the door to the private room swung open with a creak, revealing a woman with striking features and dark hair.

She entered with a happy smile, but it quickly faded upon seeing the people around Noah. Her voice, cold and authoritative, cut through the air. "Are you done with your planning?"

The three men—John, Ken, and Jasper, stood up in unison, their expressions a mix of reverence.

Their gazes clouded and lingered on her gorgeous and voluptuous figure. Especially that chest, it was a bit huge. Her face, though quite charming, looked a bit artificial.

"Sister-in-law!" the tree exclaimed with a lecherous gaze.

The woman's gaze turned icy. "Who is your sister-in-law?"

The three men shrank back, suddenly feeling out of place. They cast anxious glances at Noah, who, indifferent to their plight, simply ignored them but his eyes shot a sinister glance at the trio.

Feeling the sting of her contempt, the three quickly lowered their heads and exited the room, leaving a thick tension in their wake.

With a disdainful snort, the woman strode purposefully across the room. She approached Noah and, with an air of familiarity, seated herself on his lap, her arms wrapping around his neck in a display of possessive affection.

"Why do you bother mingling with such lowlives?" she asked, her tone both critical and curious.

Noah chuckled softly, his fingers circling on her waist. "Sometimes, you need to find a scapegoat to handle the dirty work, don't you?"

"Are you talking about Evan? I heard his company is causing quite a stir. He is really something, building everything from scratch," the woman replied, her eyes narrowing as she assessed the situation.

"Yes, but why? Are you interested in him," Noah asked.

"Of course not. You saved my life and you're going to be my husband. Any son of a bitch who dares to be your enemy should be crushed to dust. With my family's power, you're invincible."

Noah's smile broadened. "He's not worth using all that force. Just a maggot trying to wriggle around. Crushing him will be easy. Our engagement will be a grand event, and I plan to put on a show. You girls love drama, don't you?"

The woman clapped her hands in delight, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. "Yes, I'm looking forward to it. I can't wait to see the drama unfold."

.....

Newland.

In the fusion research lab, the atmosphere was thick with anticipation, punctuated by the hum of high-tech machinery.

Scientists in white lab coats moved efficiently, their faces set with determination as they prepared for a groundbreaking experiment.

Evan, standing alongside Aurora, who acted as his assistant, watched with keen interest as the team geared up for a series of critical tests.

"Sie," Aurora's voice broke through the ambient noise, "the team is ready to initiate the processes for developing the quantum cells, nuclear cells, and a miniaturized star through fusion. This will be a significant advancement."

Evan nodded, his gaze fixed on the array of high-tech equipment. "Let's get started."

The lab buzzed with activity as the scientists conducted their final checks. They were preparing to execute a sophisticated sequence of experiments, each of their steps meticulously designed to push the boundaries of modern science.

"Initiating quantum cell development," announced Dr. Michael Harris, the lead scientist in quantum technology.

The team had already positioned the necessary materials: ultra-pure graphene sheets, advanced quantum processors, and high-efficiency energy converters. These components were vital for creating quantum cells, which would be tested for their energy storage and transfer capabilities.

Aurora's holographic display showed real-time data as Dr. Harris and his team calibrated the quantum energy cells. The setup required precise alignment of electromagnetic fields and control of nanoscale interactions to ensure optimal performance.

As the quantum cell development process began, the atmosphere in the room continued to charge with excitement. The quantum energy cells, integrated with the graphene sheets, were subjected to high-energy fields generated by the lab's state-of-the-art equipment. The cells' efficiency and stability were closely monitored, with data streaming to Aurora's interface
