Chapter 27
What A Lazy Person!
The game itself was not really that fun of a game. But some of the players participating were their favorites, so the fans on the bullet screen were all very lively.
[The clothes Wheatley’s family is wearing are out of stock.]
[Your focus is somewhere else.]
[Hahahaha, I also went to search for it. This episode of the variety show is simply a showcase of Nannan’s wardrobe.]
[Why does Tutu look like he hasn’t woken up properly? He just nods his head every now and then.]
[I don’t know. Even this morning, only Xu Xiaoxiao was visible in Tutu’s live broadcast room. Is Tutu sick?]
[Children are very energetic. No matter how tired they are, they always are lively the next morning after a good sleep.]
The staff also noticed Tutu’s strange behavior. “Are you feeling sick?”
Tutu’s eyelids felt heavy. When Su Wei left in the morning, Tutu had also woken up. After having breakfast with his father and seeing him off, Xu Xiaoxiao made him some milk and he went right back to sleep after drinking it.
The staff member felt Tutu’s forehead. His temperature was normal.
“He woke up really early to see his father off,” explained Xu Xiaoxiao. “Maybe he hasn’t gotten enough rest yet.”
Tutu yawned.
“Why don’t you two go back and rest?” The staff member thought that it was an insignificant game, and Tutu was not in high spirits. If he got injured because of that, what would he tell Su Wei?
Xu Xiaoxiao looked troubled. “But it’s a group activity. Would it really be okay to make an exception just for us?”
“Aunt Tutu, go back to rest,” said Xia Mo to persuade her. “It is alright You can participate in other activities any time.”
“Yes, Ms. Xu,” other mothers echoed back.
“Okay. Thank you so much, everyone,” said Xu Xiaoxiao apologetically. “I will take Tutu back.”
Tutu was still in a daze when he got home. Xu Xiaoxiao made a cup of warm milk for him, and he went right back to sleep after drinking it.
The other four families competed in the match. Li Zexin jumped on the spot. He wanted to perform well in front of his father, even though Li Yanchen had said that it was just a simple game.
Li Zekai was the youngest of all the children, but his determination to win was not tiny. “Daddy, we must win!” he said, in his childish voice. “Although Jiejie is short and small, I am very flexible. I will go behind them and tear out their name tags secretly.”
When Li Zekai had made a fuss about wanting to participate in the morning, Lin Wan already had her doubts about it. He was so young and small. How would he ever be able to tear out a name tag on the back of adults?
The Festival Group had already considered this. So, they had pasted the name tags on the waist instead of the back.
The whistle blew and the match started. The group of people ran about in the open space.
[Is this a competition to see who will run out of energy first? Is no one going to attack?]
[Whoever has longer legs wins, I guess. Obviously, Xuanxuan’s legs are the longest.]
[It looks like Xuanxuan and Li Yanchen are leading.]
[Lin Tong doesn’t seem to be able to run anymore. He’s standing in the middle of the field. Why isn’t anyone tearing his tag?]
[Maybe no one wants to eliminate anyone so quickly.]
[The cubs are so cute. They’re so short-legged, and they follow their daddy.]
[Xiao Yi is going to catch up with Xuanxuan. Oh my God, Xuanxuan, hurry! Hurry, hurry!]
[Wheatley and Guoguo are both very slow.]
[But Xuanxuana and others aren’t attacking them.]
[First, they are going to fight the strong.]
[Where’s Lin Wan? Why don’t I see her? she was there during the warm-up just now.]
[My God, is that Lin Wan?]
[Where?]
[Northwest corner, the one sitting there.]
[Lin Wan is…]
[She’s still in the competition zone, so it doesn’t count as her withdrawing from the competition. What is she doing? Has her tag been torn already?]
[No, when the others started running, I saw her observing for a few minutes, then she headed for a bench and sat down.]
[Nobody cares?]
[Everyone’s already fully immersed in the competition. Who would notice her in the corner?]
[The referee didn’t even notice. Isn’t this a foul?]
[I don’t think it’s against the rules. Guoguo’s father is also standing there without moving. No one’s tearing him up.]
[Deliberately throwing the game? Is no one going to tear her tag apart?]
[What a lazy person!]
When the competition started, everyone ran about except Lin Wan.
It wasn’t that she had no intention of joining in, but nobody seemed too willing to tear each other’s name tags. The moment the whistle blew, everyone ran away. Everyone thought of protecting their tags and nobody thought of tearing them from others.
“So silly,” Lin Wan muttered to herself.
“Everyone! You are supposed to try to tear each other’s name tags!” said the referee when he couldn’t take it anymore.
Only then did Li Zexuan and Li Yanchen stop to look at their opponents.
“Dad, Uncle Michael is the strongest. Let’s take him out together. If we drag this on for too long, we might not be able to do that.” Li Zexuan had participated in many such events and had a lot of experience.
“Sure, I think many people want to eliminate him first. How about this? I will go from the front, you go from behind,” suggested Li Yanchen. “When others see that we are attacking him, they will probably join in.”
The two of them increased their speed and charged straight at Michael.
...
Sure enough, when the other families saw this, they also surrounded him. Michael was in the middle, and Nannan, who was in the outer circle, did not dare to come forward to help.
“Brother, why don’t you do it yourself?” Lin Tong walked over, panting.
“Alright, I’ll do it myself,” laughed Michael. “But please be gentle with Nannan and Wheatley.”
In the live broadcast room, the fans could only see a group of people circling Michael and nothing more. When they dispersed, Michael had ripped off his name tag and held it in his hands. His elimination was declared on the radio.
[Sure enough, we’ll work together to tear the strongest one apart first.]
[Bullying with numbers.]
[It’s just a game. Look, they’re all so happy.]
Everyone took a few minutes to drink water and started the game again. After a while, Nannan and Wheatley were eliminated too.
The fans were not having it.
[Why are you eliminating our Wheatley and her family? Can’t you tear down the one sitting in the corner doing nothing?]
[Director, don’t you know that Wheatley has a lot of fans? Everybody seems so eager to eliminate her family.]
...
[Wheatley is so cute when she’s jumping.]
[That’s right. It’s so funny.]
[Now all that’s left of her is a dejected look on her face.]
The audience watching the livestream were still fuming over the Wheatley family’s elimination that they didn’t notice Lin Guoguo’s father getting eliminated. Lin Tong was exhausted, so he stood in place, waiting for everyone to tear him apart.
“Then I’ll go back and prepare lunch for everyone,” the man said with an honest smile.
[Daddy Lin is so good. He still wants to cook after losing.]
[That’s the spirit of the game. Friendship first.]
[Daddy Lin, don’t be discouraged. No one can defeat you in cooking.]
Shen Man wanted to go back and help her husband, so she deliberately walked amidst a group of people and pretended that she didn’t see Li Zekai sneaking on her from behind. When the little boy saw Shen Man bending down to wipe her sweat, he rushed forward and tore off the name tag.
“Dad, I tore one! I tore one!” Holding Shen Man’s name tag, Li Zekai ran to his father. He wanted to let his father know that he had succeeded.
