The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 62

62 Leaving

Dr. Dall nearly tripped on the air when he heard that. What did he just hear?

A little cat at rank 4?

His gaze when he looked at Kate was even hotter than before. Who would have thought that there was actually such a wonderful little existence near him?

If that Yuri who acclaimed himself to be the most powerful person ever knew that he lost to a pet cat... it would be very interesting to see the expression on his face.

“How did this... Little Kitty managed to advance so fast?”

“They can absorb the crystals faster. This might be the reason why the animals mutated faster than humans. When you get out, you’ll see that even before today, there are already three different sizes of animals.” Kyle kept note of this.

Dr. Dall’s expression turned serious.

He knew that if the animals were to advance faster than humans, it will spell disaster. After all, it meant that humans wouldn’t be at the top of the food chain anymore and might even be suppressed by these mutated animals.

That wouldn’t be good.

.....

How could they survive if that happened?

Was this disaster actually meant the end of the human world?

“It seems we really need to consider the possibility of finding a way to contract these animals and become beast tamers instead.” Dr. Dall looked serious.

He felt as if he had just found out the key to the future development. Right now, he seriously wanted to study more about these pet and naturally also the possibly contract for them.

Hmm, there should be a way that he hadn’t found yet.

“I think it’s more important for you to find out the real source of those red rains. The lightning that started everything seemed to come at the precise moment.” Kyle shook his head as they climbed up to the second floor.

“The source has been confirmed, but I don’t have the access to know more about that thing.” Dr. Dall’s expression turned pained when he mentioned this matter. As a scientist and researcher, his desire to obtain more knowledge was extremely strong.

So when he found out that he was not allowed to participate, he was so heartbroken that he nearly didn’t sleep for a week and transferred all his emotion to his research.

“When?”

“Not long before you obtain the information. Anyway, with the background of the three of you, it shouldn’t be a problem to obtain information not long after it was first released.”

“Heh.” Kyle only snorted.

Kate was still swaying her tail and kept on putting whatever items there were into her space. Anyway, there were more than enough room for her to bring all of these into her space.

Dr. Dall thought for a moment. “Are you perhaps interested in finding out more? You’ll need to put pressure on that group.”

“No need. Unless they can produce awakened people who are more powerful than those outside, they will eventually have to share the information. I only need to play a bit of the role to rally them.” Kyle was calm.

However, Dr. Dall silently lit candle to those people.

Before this change occurred, it was indeed impossible for Kyle to even touch them because of their humongous power.

But if they didn’t manage to gain any advantage even though they knew about the red rain in advance and so on, it meant that they had to be ready to face the wrath of the people outside.

There were countless people who experience this disaster.

How many of them had lost their loved ones?

How many of them have their lives changed because their withold the information?

They will be the target of everyone’s scrutiny even without Kyle doing anything. After all, even he was not informed of the real date when the red rain will happen.

Swish!

Soon, all the items were put inside Kate’s space.

Dr. Dall looked at Kate with bewildered expression. “Just how big is your space? All the other space elemental awakener I met are not as outrageous as you.”

“Meow~.”

Kate was also feeling a bit depressed when she thought of this.

Anyway, she hoped that the people whom Kyle talked about with Dr. Dall will know something about how to turn her back into a human being. She didn’t really want to entertain the thought of living as a cat for the rest of her life.

Or, she will just wait for the third red rain?

That was if the third red rain will ever happen. After all, Kate didn’t think that it will be possible for it to happen anytime soon.

“Time to pay a visit to Jake.”

“Right.”

They departed swiftly and then headed to Jake’s house. Upon seeing the burning house, Kate blinked her eyes.

It seemed that Jake simply burned his house because he didn’t want to see those giant insects that had piled up and completely filled his home. It would be better for him to simply burn down everything.

Easy and simple.

The only downside was that he lost everything that belonged to him.

“I thought that you say that you have warehouse?” Kyle asked as he walked down his car.

“Yep, here.” Jake pointed to his garage that was separated from his main house.

“This small?” Dr. Dall looked suspicious.

But when they entered, it was clear that they underestimated him. The warehouse was built downwards into the ground and there were several floors that were filled with various foods and equipment that was necessary for one’s survival.

Dr. Dall was silent.

Thinking of these three’s background, he felt that it was not strange anymore.

But really.

If they can prepare everything like this, why didn’t they even think of leaving City A to stay with their family members?

“Alright, let’s go. There are still two other malls that belonged to Dylan’s Family. Also, Jake, if your men are still here...”
