Chapter 712 Another Battle Against Ferdinand

Chapter 712 Another Battle Against Ferdinand

As the car stopped not far from Ferdinand, the man merely glanced with indifference. With the strength that he held, there was barely anything he felt afraid of. The two of them had lost against him in the past. There was nothing hard with him beating them once more.

Stepping out of the car, Kevin looked at Ferdinand coldly. "You’re really alive, Ferdinand."

"I’m not going to lose against brats like you two," Ferdinand replied. He stood up nonchalantly, clearly not putting the two of them in his eyes. In his opinion he was placed far above the two of them.

Kanae alighted from the car. Her hand had prepared the small sword that she always brought everywhere. "This time, we won’t lose against you, Ferdinand."

"We shall see about that."

Kevin glanced at the nearby car and the fact that there were no one around Ferdinand. On their way here, they encountered a lot of soldiers and killed them using guns. It would be weird that no one stayed near Ferdinand except if he sent them away from here.

"Your ambition truly knows no limit, Ferdinand."

"A man’s life should be filled with ambition," Ferdinand replied. "It’s the same with you as the last beating didn’t seem to affect you that much."

Kevin’s gaze turned chilly as he stared at Ferdinand. "A lot of my friends died in your hand, now I’m taking my revenge for them."

"Revenge?" Ferdinand laughed. He had heard the words of revenge numerous times in the past as many people wished for his death. "You’re not worthy of that word, Ryukalin Clan Head Kevin."

Clang!

In that very moment, Kanae sprinted from her position and reached Ferdinand in split second. He reached in time as he blocked her attack, but the speed that she showed surprised him very much. With his blade, he pushed Kanae back, but the girl flipped midair and landed gracefully before pushing herself to attack him once again.

By the time she reached Ferdinand’s side, Kevin had reached the man too. His speed was not comparable with Kanae, but his power had pushed back Ferdinand to a certain degree.

Clang! Clang! Bang!

Ferdinand stepped a few steps back. His gaze hardened when he saw a line had appeared on the ground. It might not be much, but it showed that the two of them have strength comparable with him.

"You’ve grown stronger, brats," Ferdinand commented. From his relaxed stance, he lowered his center of gravity as he readied his blade. This was the time for him to fight seriously.

Both Kanae and Kevin could feel the sudden pressure coming from Ferdinand. It was far higher than the pressure that the man exuded most of the time. They realized one thing: Finally, Ferdinand had to fight them seriously!

Previously, Ferdinand didn’t even bother preparing a stance to fight against them. Without a stance, his movement was slower than usual, but it was already more than enough to fight them. But now things have changed. If he didn’t face them seriously, he wouldn’t be able to defeat them.

"Let’s go," Kevin ordered.

Kanae dashed forward once more and swung her sword to Ferdinand. He read her move and parried the sword, sending her forward. Twisting his hand, he changed the trajectory of his blade, intending to cut her from above.

Kicking the ground, she pushed her body to the side and rolled down. The blade bypassed her stomach with only a few millimeters away. After rolling once, she stayed still on the ground with kneeling position, one of her hands was holding the ground.

’That’s really close.’

As she dashed again, Kevin had reached Ferdinand and swung his sword. Ferdinand didn’t have the chance to parry the attack, he had to use his power to forcefully block the attack. His body was pushed to the back slightly, but he held firmly to the ground, making a short line on the ground.

However, Kevin didn’t stop there. He retracted his sword and started another barrage of attack along with Kanae.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

The sound of metal clashing filled the entire courtyard as the three of them were engaged in a close fight. Even though the situation became similar to before, there were some changes because Ferdinand had to fight them seriously and not sloppily like before.

As the result, Kanae and Kevin felt higher pressure than what they had experienced before.

Kanae avoided Ferdinand’s attack as she circled to the back. Her sword was swung forward, attacking the man’s hand. Feeling that it reached his flesh, she was about to retreat when she saw the man’s feet coming to her.

Bang!

*Cough* *Cough*

Kanae held her stomach with a grimace on her face. She had jumped to the back, but it seemed that she still underestimated the man’s strength. Looking at the dent she made on the door, she sighed to herself. If he had kicked her with this strength back in the past, she would have been dead for sure.

Without Kanae restricting his movement, Ferdinand focused his attention solely to Kevin. He twisted his body to avoid Kevin’s attack and, in that moment, he grabbed the man’s arm. Even though Kevin was moving at high speed, Ferdinand still beat him and captured one of his arms.

’This is bad.’

Just when Kevin tried to release himself, Ferdinand threw the young man above his head towards the other side. Kevin’s eyes widened when he saw the well below him. He stretched out his hand, intending to catch the side of the well before he fell down.

Unfortunately, his hand fell short as his body crashed into the other side of the wall. He turned his body around but didn’t reach the edge of the well fast enough.

Splash!

Thankfully, there was water at the bottom of the well. If he had to hit the hard floor, his body might break.

’There’s only 5-6 meters,’ Kevin thought to himself as he kept himself floating. It was good that he was the one that got thrown here. If it was Kanae, she might have drowned because she couldn’t swim.

Extending his arm and legs, he found out that he could reach the wall of the well. After stabilizing his position, he started climbing as fast as possible. The fight against Ferdinand hadn’t ended yet!

"Your turn, little girl," Ferdinand looked at Kanae with a cold gaze. He had just found out that these two have much higher potential than what he thought. Rather than allowing them to live, he would just kill the two of them without mercy in this place.

Kanae stood up firmly. She fixed her gaze on Ferdinand before charging toward the man once more. Right before she reached the man, she twisted her feet to change the direction, attempting to attack him from another direction.

Slash! Clang!

Utilizing her speed to the fullest, she attacked Ferdinand from every direction possible. Even though her feet were screaming at her for forcing them to move so quickly, she paid no heed. All that she wanted was to make sure that she could attack the man before her.

Under the barrage of attack, Ferdinand stayed calm. He twisted his body to the side and elbowed Kanae when she moved. His sudden attack stopped her movement. Before she could change direction, he slammed his fist to her stomach, sending her to the direction of the house once again.

Bang!

*Cough* *Cough*

The metal door that stood there was broken. Kanae could feel that her bones were broken to pieces by three hits from Ferdinand. Even though her back and feet were screaming the word ’pain,’ she had to stand up again.

"Time for me to kill you brat," Ferdinand walked closer to Kanae.

Swish!

A bucket was heading to his direction, which the man slashed. He glared coldly at Kevin, who was standing not far from them. With his clothes completely soaked in water, he got out of the well.

"You’re so persistent."

"I won’t be defeated by the likes of you," Kevin replied.

Ferdinand readied his blade as he saw Kevin charged to his direction. Different with Kanae who couldn’t match his strength, Kevin could face his attack very well. It took him a lot of effort to catch the man’s arm and threw him away from him.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

The two of them traded blows over and over. Even though Kanae didn’t come to help again, Kevin made sure that his strength was enough to cover up for her disappearance. Unfortunately, he soon found out that the man’s strength was still above him.

Clang! Bang!

Kevin was pushed back to the well’s direction again. He crashed on the side wall as he looked at Ferdinand with a cold gaze.

"You won’t be able to defeat me, brat," Ferdinand remarked coldly.

"Get away!"

Kanae’s shout caused Kevin to look at her direction. He saw that the girl threw something that looked like a ball to Ferdinand’s direction. Even though he was not sure, he knew that it should be a grenade. He swiftly jumped into the wall, holding the edge with his hand.

BAM!

The grenade exploded not far from Ferdinand’s location. Smoke filled the entire area as Kanae peeked from the door. Upon seeing Ferdinand stood with a layer of faint barrier around him, her face turned ashen.

Ferdinand glanced at Kanae. "It seems I have to be more serious in facing the two of you."
