Chapter 595 595. APOCALYPTIC MESS
Jenna and Josh arrived within the barrier and just as expected, they found that several individuals were already alerted to welcome their entry.
"We have work to do," Jenna muttered, even if her words could be heard by Josh. The duo gazed forward only to find several figures floating above the estate, all of which were in the fourth tier.
There were seven individuals present on the enemy's side, and only two of them.
Amongst the three families, the Opoli family remained the strongest. Possessing more experts in the third tier and the fourth tier.
Even now the duo could sight about 50 experts all wielding power in the peak of the third tier. They all looked ready for combat just as their tier 4 elders did.
One of them slowly flew forward. The air was tense, they knew whoever arrived were intruders. The event remained astonishing nevertheless.
"State your business," the lady announced standing about 20m away from the duo, her aura carried her voice and she was audible.
She stood at a level that remained close to the higher stage. Even now, she felt like she could cross over that very instant. She also looked rather young. Forty-ish.
The issue clearly disturbed her since her brown eyebrows creased and her long hair danced with her movements. She radiated reluctance.
"We have come here to carry out the will of our master," Josh explained, feeling exalted. The silver light he radiated made him feel god-like. Or the messenger of a higher being. Aiden certainly classified as someone of higher status.
Still, his words managed to put a bit of surprise in Jenna's mind. She played along anyways. After all Aiden had done, he deserved to be called their master.
She even felt willing to make him one if he could bless her with that incredible power all the time.
"Your master?…" The lady furrowed her brows but soon shook her head to not lose focus. "Does your master know who we are?"
"He very well does. But it matters not," Josh's aura flared and intensified, along with the silver light he emitted.
The event pushed the lady back a few steps since even Jenna stepped forward.
"There are seven of us and only two of you. Your master has sent you to your deaths," the lady frowned even if her chest trembled at their power. She couldn't clearly sense their levels.
"Yet you fear our presence… Well, no worries, we will cut you all down," Josh announced, and the ground below them started to shake until huge fissures opened. The noise remained terrible.
"You have no idea what you're doing. We could benefit from each other. There's no need for any fighting!" The lady tried to reason with them, even if her hopes for a peaceful interaction slowly drained away.
"Higher powers demand your death, and the deaths of the nobles for betraying our nation. You should have expected this." Jenna was the one to reply. The air around her turned hot as she prepared for action.
Even from their distance, they could sense the gazes of those experts far away, they stood only an instant from exploding in power.
The lady's countenance fell at those words as understanding dawned on her and she couldn't see any way out of that violent event.
"I see… so be it then," she announced shattering the sound barrier to return to her people, their auras unfolding violently quickly after.
"Shall we?" Josh announced even if the ground continued to tremble below them.
Jenna nodded and her figure exploded with spectacular greenish-blue flames.
The heat in the environment skyrocketed as both experts unfolded their consciousness.
Their mental waves encountered the others in the distance, but the duo attacked anyways.
The ground shattered to give birth to huge chunks of earth. Seven of those earthen spheres manifested around the duo, but the phenomenon caused destruction in the estate. They were still outside its walls.
Josh made those masses begin to spray chunks of earth on the estate in the distance and the sheer magnitude of that attack covered everything in sight.
The offensive had been powerful thanks to the speed those small rocks traveled at.
Jenna backed that offensive by calling balls of flames into existence. Those huge balls of fire sped forward before unfolding into powerful and expansive explosions.
Shock waves barreled out into the world due to that event, but the barrier Noah set up kept all those effects bottled up within that area.
Unfortunately for the duo, they saw that the explosion quickly cleared and a yellow barrier unfolded before them, revealing that their targets had been unscathed by the joint attacks.
Josh shook his head at that point before shattering the sound barrier to almost instantly arrive before them.
His fist went forward, slamming into the barrier with terrible power. To the astonishment of those experts, everything quaked as a result.
Josh possessed an addition of 20% of Noah's strength stats to his. Even he marveled at the sheer power available to him now. Also, his stamina felt boundless.
A rain of blows fell on that barrier and each second they allowed him to go on; cracks continued to appear on their defensive, and they moved.
The seven experts allowed the barrier to vanish right when Josh punched forward, making him lose his balance since his fist met air.
Spells erupted into existence the moment that opening revealed itself, but greenish-blue flames landed on that area and everything fell into fiery chaos.
"Tch," Jenna clicked her tongue crossing her arms before her, she closed her eyes for a second and opened them again, a bright orange magical circle expanded below her and giants of orange, blue, and green flames streaked outside of the magical circle.
That spell remained one that had been collecting dust in her skill belt due to its high mana cost and terrible pressure on the mind.
But now.
Huge 30m giants of greenish-blue flames possessing arcs of orange flames above their heads arrived on the battlefield and the ambient temperature spiked.
Those giants of flames could act on their own thanks to the little sentience the activation gave them from Jenna's soul energy.
With this, all ten of those giants could attack one expert at a time, reducing the stress from the two cultivators.
Josh's figure shot out of the fiery area to overlook things from a higher perspective. He glanced at Jenna who remained in the distance but supported with terrible fire attacks.
He nodded and the ground beneath them began to tremble. Soon, huge boulders departed from the rest of the terrain to float around the expert.
He remained tiny compared to those manifestations of power, but he communicated with Jenna and she stretched her left hand towards all twenty of those boulders, and flames shot towards them to set them ablaze.
The event had been nigh-blinding, as those boulders transformed into small stars that lit everything up.
Doom fell on the experts of the Opoli family, the lady tried to escape the annoying battle with the giants of flames, but she could only feel trepidation enter her chest when her fiery opponent detonated just to stop her from leaving.
The explosion had been powerful, so much so that it touched almost all the others fighting.
That second of distraction had been enough for Josh to stretch his arms forward and those flaming boulders shot toward the estate and its people.
The grounds trembled and the wind blew greatly as it increased in temperature. Those masses fell toward the estate in seemingly slow motion but quickly arrived on the ground and an explosion followed by other terrible explosions unfolded into the area.
So much so that even Jenna and Josh had to stick together for protection.
All the tier 3 experts were dead at this point, but just like the Uro family, a barrier existed around the estate.
Still, Josh and Jenna continued to rain fiery boulders on the area, messing everything up until they got to their targets.
Rivers of molten rocks flowed across the enclosed region since the area quickly became an oven when nothing got past the barrier. Including heat.
The duo transformed the entire region covered by the barrier into an apocalyptic mess.
