Chapter 343 - You Think I'm Crazy?

Just then, a woman in her late fifties walked in. She smiled, and greeted them as she introduced herself to Chen Lihua, replying to her question in the process.

"I am Dr Li, a psychiatrist at the First City Hospital."

Hearing the doctor introduce herself as a psychiatrist, Chen Lihua immediately glanced at Liu Longwei in surprise, as if to ask what a psychiatrist was doing in their house.

"Swetheart, Dr. Li will help you solve the psychological trauma you have." Liu Longwei said to her in a peaceable manner. But who knew that Chen Lihua was not in the mood to care about his manner of approach.

"You think I'm crazy?." Chen Lihua asked, flaring up in the process.

"Sweetheart, I didn't say that. I only want you to see Dr Lin because you need help." Liu Longwei said.

"I need help, in what way actually?!." Chen Lihua asked angrily as she stood to her feet.

"Hua'er dear" Lady Chen called out in a worried voice. "Just listen to your husband." She continued.

"I should listen him? He thinks I'm crazy, and you want me to listen to him?." Chen Lihua asked angrily. She was really pissed off now. She can't believe that her husband thinks she is crazy only because she has been spacing out and putting things in the wrong order.

The butler immediately brought Dr Li out of the room, on seeing that things wasn't going so well.

Madam Liu saw that things were getting out of hand, so she intervened.

"Lihua dear, Longwei is not saying that you are crazy, we all don't think you can crazy. We just want you to have a conversation with the psychiatrist for her to be able to fix your trauma, that's all. Nobody is locking you away in the hospital, or giving you any drugs or injections."

"Mother, why do i feel that i would really be locked up somewhere away from the sunlight and people?." Chen Lihua asked, not trusting any of them.

Liu Longwei who had been sitting, and quiet for a while now, stood up to speak.

"Sweetheart, you are not crazy, and even if you were to go crazy one day, I would never lock you up. Dr. Li is here just to have a conversation with you, and find a solution to your problem. You will not go to the hospital, she would come here to see you if there is a need, so you can relax."

Chen Lihua turned to face him with teary eyes. "I don't trust any of you."

After saying her piece, she ran away in tears.

Liu Longwei was about to chase after her, but Lady Chen stopped him.

"Longwei let her be. She will not listen to any of us now."

Liu Longwei glanced at Lady Chen before looking at the direction Chen Lihua ran to in worry.

"Ju Ju why does Lihua seem so scared of seeing a psychiatrist?." Madam Liu asked. From what she observed now, her daughter-in-law was scared of seeing the doctor even though they told her nobody would lock her away, she still didn't believe them.

Lady Chen sighed as she adjusted herself on the couch. "Lihua was scarred by an incident when she was a teenager, just before she traveled out. She had a best friend who went crazy because of a psychological trauma. So when we went to visit her in the psychiatric hospital, we saw her locked up in a little cell. Her hands and feet were chained, the teenage girl looked so quiet and we were wondering why they would lock up an innocent child like that, and even advice us not to get close to her. But what happened next made us to understand."

"What happened?." Liu Huang who has been quiet all these while, asked with interest.

Lady Chen sighed and continued, "When the girl saw Lihua, she called out to her to come and save her. She pleaded with Lihua, saying that 'they wanted to kill her after killing her parents'. So Lihua forgetting the warning that was given to us by the doctors, immediately ran towards her friend. By the time we noticed it, it was too late to stop her, so we could only stand and watch. When Lihua got to her side, both of them started crying. Lihua wiped her friend's tears away while assuring her that she would help her. Before we knew it, the girl started laughing, and her countenance changed. Then she bit Lihua's hand and struggled to release her hands from the chain, but since she couldn't, she became more violent, and struggled more to release her hands and feets. When Chen Lihua cried out, we and the doctors immediately ran to save her".

"After we saved Lihua, the back of her hand was bleeding, and we could also see the marks left by the girl's teeth. Lihua stared at her best friend with a shocked filled face as tears flowed from her eyes."

As Chen Lihua cried, her friend struggled to get away from the doctors while screaming, "I will kill anyone who touches me! I will kill all of you! You don't deserve to live! I will kill all of you!."

The next moment after she was sedated, she started crying softly as she watched Chen Lihua leave her prison without looking back. Then she muttered in an inaudible voice, "Lihua...Lihua plea....se come back, I'm so sorry. Plea.....se come come back."

"Since then, Chen Lihua has been traumatized by the event. We thought she thought she got over that incident, but seeing her react like this today, her actions says otherwise." Lady Chen said as Chen K squeezed her hand gently.

"This child has been through a lot. Did she ever go back to see her friend.?" Madam Liu inquired.

"Yes she did, twice. Once before she traveled out, and then when she came back to the country. On the two occasions she visited, She saw her friend through the CCTV footage of the hospital, she didn't want to see her friend face to face because she was scared she would be attacked like the last time." Lady Chen replied.
