Chapter 59
Chapter 59 - End
Upon witnessing the scene, Ni Xue hesitated briefly before speaking up, “Sir, I must ask you to leave.”
To Ni Xue's surprise, Ye Hao seized Wei Tuo by the hair and slammed his head onto the glass coffee table.
Wei Tuo was dumbfounded.
Had he lost his mind?
Holding Wei Tuo's head, Ye Hao demanded icily, “Why did you set me up?”
“Do you realize you're digging your own grave?” As soon as Wei Tuo uttered these words, Ye Hao grabbed his head and smashed it against the coffee table once more.
When Ye Hao lifted Wei Tuo's head again, two gashes had opened on his forehead, from which blood poured profusely.
Ni Xue, witnessing this horrific scene, spun around and bolted from the private room.
Determined to report the incident to the security staff, Ni Xue intended to apprehend this brazen individual.
But when she exited the room, the security personnel instructed her not to interfere with the affairs inside.
Ni Xue was profoundly shaken.
What astounding background could this unremarkable-looking man possess?
“Why did you set me up?” Ye Hao pressed the question once more.
This time, Wei Tuo's arrogance had vanished.
He knew that any further insolence would prompt Ye Hao to strike him again without a second thought.
“Tang Pianpian is the woman I'm fond of,” he confessed.
Ye Hao was taken aback.
“You saw me with Tang Pianpian in a hotel room?”
“Zhuo Jing did,” Wei Tuo admitted.
Zhuo Jing, overhearing this, grew anxious.
“And who is Zhuo Jing?”
“He's a sophomore at Riverdale College studying traditional medicine.”
Everything clicked for Ye Hao.
Tang Pianpian had taken him to a remote hotel, and they had been spotted by Zhuo Jing, who then informed Wei Tuo.
He had never even held Tang Pianpian's hand.
“So you decided to frame me.”
Wei Tuo remained silent.
“My life was nearly destroyed by you,” Ye Hao said, his heart swelling with rage. He lifted Wei Tuo's head and slammed it down onto the coffee table once more.
After three forceful blows, Ye Hao tossed the now unconscious Wei Tuo aside. Then, with Zhuo Jing looking on in terror, Ye Hao advanced slowly towards him.
“I've done nothing with Tang Pianpian, and even if we had, it's none of your business.” With that, Ye Hao stood face to face with Zhuo Jing.
Zhuo Jing's entire body was shaking uncontrollably.
The horrific scene he had just witnessed left him quaking in fear.
?He was merely a student, unaccustomed to such brutal displays of violence.
In fact, Zhuo Jing was not any shorter than Ye Hao; he even appeared somewhat more robust, but in that moment, he was paralyzed with fear and dared not lift a finger.
“You're well aware of the consequences if you report this to Wei Tuo. Yet, to curry favor with him, you went ahead and did it,” Ye Hao said in a low, menacing tone as he locked eyes with Zhuo Jing. “For that, I'm going to cripple one of your legs.”
“Didn't you claim that nothing happened?” Zhuo Jing stammered, his voice shaking.
“So, does that mean you can just erase all your actions?” Ye Hao retorted, delivering a swift kick to Zhuo Jing's abdomen. Zhuo Jing doubled over, coughing violently.
With a strike of his arm, Ye Hao knocked Zhuo Jing off his feet. He then stepped down hard on his knee.
Zhuo Jing let out a piercing scream.
Ye Hao's crushing blow had shattered his knee without mercy.
Ye Hao was convinced that not even the most advanced medical treatments could heal such an injury.
Zhuo Jing's agonized cries roused Wei Tuo from his stupor.
Upon seeing Zhuo Jing's pitiful condition, Wei Tuo quickly shut his eyes, fearing that he would be Ye Hao's next target.
?”Why haven't Violet Hall's security personnel arrived yet?” Wei Tuo's heart sank with a foreboding sense of dread.
Could it be that Ye Hao's connections had secured the tacit approval of Violet Hall's executives for his actions?
If that were true, Wei Tuo's chances for retribution might be dashed.
Lost in his contemplation, Wei Tuo's face suddenly contorted in pain. A wave of unspeakable agony washed over him.
“My leg!”
Wei Tuo had never imagined Ye Hao would dare to break his leg.
How could he be so bold?
Wei Tuo might not be a household name in Glento, but his family had ties to the influential Wang family.
Ye Hao had broken Wei Tuo's leg. Was he not afraid of the Wang family seeking vengeance?
“This is just a minor lesson for you. If there's a next time, I won't hesitate to kill you,” Ye Hao warned, pulling out a couple of tissues to clean the blood from his hands.
After Ye Hao departed, several security guards rushed Wei Tuo and Zhuo Jing to the hospital.
In the surveillance room, two elegant and distinguished women were silently observing the scene before them.
“His attack was clean and precise. He's quite skilled.”
“Yet, he may have overdone it. He didn't leave himself any room to maneuver.”
“Once Ye Hao has exhausted his goodwill towards the Lin family, I'm convinced that the Wang family will seize their opportunity to act.”
“I'm actually curious if Lin Rou'er had a hand in instigating this.”
“It's quite possible.”
Lin Rou'er watched Ye Hao, who remained composed, and a flicker of curiosity crossed her gaze.
She had reviewed Ye Hao's profile over ten times but couldn't fathom how his performance had improved so dramatically.
He claimed to be understated, but Lin Rou'er wasn't buying that explanation.
“May I ask you a question?” inquired Lin Rou'er.
“Ask away.”
“How did you end up fainting?”
At Lin Rou'er's question, Ye Hao's eyes narrowed slightly.
“I just fainted out of the blue.”
A look of realization dawned in Lin Rou'er's eyes.
Ye Hao's evasive response clued her in that the issue lay with his mysterious fainting spell.
Lin Tu was not in the best mental state, which was to be expected, considering he had only just regained consciousness.
?”Ye Hao, I apologize.” Upon awakening, Lin Tu had been briefly updated by the Lin family's butler on the recent events.
Lin Tu had naturally inquired about Ye Hao, and the butler had reported the facts.
It was then that Lin Tu recognized that Ye Hao's claim of qualifying for the top six academies was no boast.
Ye Hao truly possessed the capability.
And due to Lin Tu's predicament, Ye Hao had missed out on the top spot, leaving Lin Tu feeling remorseful.
?”Mr. Lin, there's no need to dwell on the past,” Ye Hao said gently.
Ye Hao had once lamented not getting into the top academies, but since receiving the black dragon's legacy, he harbored no more regrets.
What did being first mean, anyway?
Could it compare to immortality?
“Ye Hao, the doctor has advised the Master to limit his speech,” whispered Butler Luo Tong.
Ye Hao nodded, rose to his feet, and said, “Master, please focus on your recovery. I'll visit you again soon.”
“Rou'er, could you see Ye Hao out?” Lin Tu asked, his voice faltering.
