Vampire Overlord System in the Apocalypse

Chapter 352 - Vedas, The World Of Dragons!

-----

Within the vast Draconia Continent, there were four Regions, all the regions of this vast continent were divided from North Region, South Region, East Region, and West Region. Noah has happened to teleport into the northeast of the South Region, a vast land blessed by rich nature, grasslands, plains, and many forests infused with large quantities of the essence.

This region of the continent was where a large number of villages, Kingdoms, and Empires lived. Due to the bountiful nature of this Region, vast lands were extending with many plantations and farms made by Dragon Communities. Due to their intelligence, dragons not only fed on meat but also planted the essence-filled plants, vegetables, and fruits of this world. Although there were many nomadic tribes of dragons, there were also many that decided to settle down, and they had done so for many years.

Varying in race and quality of their bloodlines, Dragons would usually have very varied lifespans, however, as this Continent was where only Mortals lived, Dragons here were considerably weaker than other Dragons. If they didn't cultivate their Dragon Hearts by devouring materials and using all sorts of Draconic Techniques using the Draconic Essence produced by their Dragon Hearts, they would usually have a life expectancy of 200 years. However, due to its dangerous nature, dragons usually died way younger… It was indeed a very different world from the beliefs of people about dragons who were born overpowered from the beginning.

Of course, that wasn't completely the case, there were dragons in the continent that were born strong, it was all dependent on their Dragon Heart's Talent and their Dragon Bloodline! A thin bloodline would make them born weak, sickly, and usually without much life expectancy, but a pure-blooded dragon from a famous dragon family could be born incredibly strong, being able to use magic right away and to even live for over five hundred years.

Because life expectancy was based on individual strength, there was no point in having a lifespan of 200 years if you would die as a hatchling while being eaten by a wild draconic beast.

This is why weaker dragons with thin bloodlines began to build tribes, communities, Kingdoms, and even Empires, often led by the strongest pure-blooded dragons. All of such communities usually seeking to improve the strength of their most talented individuals to assure their survival in this wild and dangerous world. Or to even ascend into an Elder Dragon and become a God to them.

Amongst the vast amounts of societies, there were in the continent of Draconia, there were small villages set around large Kingdoms. Dragons who were of lesser bloodlines would sometimes turn into wild Draconic Beasts and mutate into monstrous creatures. Due to this, these weaker people have been left away from the bigger Kingdoms and their capitals, filled with powerful dragons, who were even able to take the shape of humanoid forms, which usually signified royalty.

Near the Dark Forest, there was the Dragon Kingdom of Ignitias, the powerful Dragon Kingdom dominated by the powerful Ignitias Family, whom superb Fire Attribute Dragons came. There were several Dungeons around the area that were constantly visited by Explorers, where resources were extracted in the form of Draconic Beast Corpses, all types of ores, and even magic items that would sometimes emerge within these mysterious underground places.

There were several Dragon Villages around the Ignitias Kingdom, all of them served the purpose of providing the Kingdom with all sorts of cattle animals, products made from them, and vegetables and fruits.

Two little dragons that had gone out hunting to gain some experience in battling and to sharpen their claws and fangs were suddenly greeted by a horrifyingly strange sight as a gigantic manor had emerged before their eyes.

The two were utterly terrified, thinking that it could be a new Dungeon sent by the Demon Dragon Vritra, whose reign of terror had ended just a few dozens of years, although there were still areas in the continent that were made into wastelands filled with Undead.

As they reached their village, which had large structures resembles "homes" made out of hardened mud and bones of large draconic beasts used as pillars, the two little dragon boys, one red-scaled with tiny wings, and the other purple-scaled with a snake-like head, reached the largest building of the village, where a large, brown-scaled dragon who seemed clearly old with a long white beard greeted them.

"Ah, Dronnia, Gradronn, what is it?"

"Elder! T-There's a thing… a large building! It appeared in the middle of the Dark Forest!" said Dronnia, the red-scaled boy.

"Hm? What did you say?"

"T-There's a big building, it appeared out of nowhere! It could be a dungeon… it emanated a lot of energy… It was very scary…" cried Gradronn.

The Elder, whose size surpassed 6 meters and whose body was covered by rock-like scales groaned worriedly.

"Hmm… Are you two not trying to trick this old man?" he asked.

"N-Not! We wouldn't trick you with something like this, Elder!"

"I-Its true!"

The Elder noticed the clear fear in the eyes of these young hatchlings, feeling like this mischievous pair was actually telling the truth this time around.

"Alright, I'll send a scouting Draconic Beast I've tamed to look the place for me through my Draconic Technique: Eyesight Transfer. If you're saying the truth then… we'll have to communicate this news with the Kingdom!" said the Elder, getting up from the ground and walking outside his home, as he went to the backyard and called upon an enormous multi-colored feathered draconic bird.

"Arco, go scout the Dark Forest, come back whenever you see something out of the ordinary!"

"CRAA!"

The beast flapped its wings once more, rushing into the skies and reaching the Dark Forest.

The Elder used his Draconic Technique that he had learned as a Draconic Beast Tamer, connecting his eyesight with the eyesight of his tamed Draconic Beast, Arco, as he was able to see what it could see.

"Hmm… Doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary- Eh?!"

However, Arco reached deeper into the Dark Forest and then saw it…

An enormous manor had emerged in the middle of the forest, emanating a deadly crimson-red aura.

And right in front of it, a strange humanoid being glanced at Arco.
