Warlord of Chaos

Chapter 271: Scream and Shout

Chapter 271: Scream and Shout

These knights were Ronning’s messengers. Even though they didn’t understand the meaning behind Han Jin’s words, they didn’t dare to ask as they knew that they were not qualified to know. Some things always spread like wildfire. For example, Han Jin’s recent achievement of a dragon crystal as big as a basin. He had just casually gone to the Kingdom of Magnificent Light, and had safely come back with such a huge Dragon Crystal. Plus, Han Jin had never talked about his experience in the Kingdom of Magnificent Light which made it even more mysterious.

It wasn’t just people from Isolated Cliff City who were talking about Han Jin. Even those from Ronning’s Riptide Regiment were doing the same. The soldiers’ favorite pastime was to speculate, gossip, and fantasize about how powerful the true boss was. The influence left by their previous leader, Conrad, was no longer there. This was a cruel world. People were always finding ways to survive. It wasn’t a difficult choice to choose whether to continue hiding in the empty shadow of Knight Conrad or to follow a ‘real-life god’.

Han Jin told the knights to rest for a night before returning, but they couldn’t wait any longer. They were worried about the situation in the front lines, so they immediately returned.

Although Han Jin appeared calm the entire time he was reading the letter, deep inside his heart was pounding like crazy because he knew Guevara too well.

That was an arrogant, highly-ambitious Dragon Knight. Although some of it had been washed away by time, there are some things that just don’t change. If even Guevara was saying that the situation was bad, it must definitely mean that they are in a very dangerous state!

Under tremendous pressure, the only thing Han Jin could do was to force himself to challenge his own limits. Time was quickly passing by. For the past month, Han Jin had not returned to Isolated Cliff City. He would release ‘magic’ every night until he was completely drained. He would then directly sleep and eat on the ship. After that, he would recover his vital energy during the day. Usually by midnight, he would have only been able to recover half of his vital energy, so he would recover the remaining portion by absorbing energy from the magic crystals. Once completely recovered, he would first train the thunderbirds and then start releasing ‘magic’ until he was exhausted.

Day after day flashed by. This was the first time Han Jin was putting so much time and effort into something!

This particular night, Han Jin walked out of his room, closed the door, and with a small flash, the door disappeared. From the outside, it looked just like any ordinary wall.

“Sir, they’re here.” Hogan shouted from the end of the corridor.

“Let’s go and meet them.” Han Jin smiled.

“Master, what about me?” Harley pointed at himself.

“Come along.”

“But... there’s an archbishop outside!”

“It doesn’t matter. He will find out sooner or later,” Han Jin bluntly said.

To be honest, Yalina and the rest of them were very curious about what Han Jin had been up to during this period of time. They had heard that Han Jin seemed to be building a giant ship, but they knew that it definitely wouldn’t be something so simple.

When they had received Han Jin’s invite, it meant that it was time for the reveal. Every one of them came as no one wanted to miss it.

On the long deck, everyone started boarding the ship. Although most of them were experienced people, this was the first time that they had seen such a huge ship, so they were filled with awe.

“Rapheal, why were you so occupied with building this boat?” Yalina was the first one to ask him a question. She had asked the same question as Hogan.

Hogan secretly laughed. He understood that this was not the time for him to stand out, otherwise he would have directly answered her.

“Raphael wouldn’t do anything stupid. I’m guessing... that this ship should be able to travel on land?” Jeddes said with a smile. He had already seen Harley, but to Han Jin’s surprise, he didn’t do anything about it.

“I agree.” Cain laughed. “Look, there are more than ten magic crystal cannons over there. If the ship can’t be moved, Raphael wouldn’t have put so many of them on the ship.”

Most of their attention was focused on Han Jin as they were waiting for an answer from him. However, none of them manage to guess correctly. This had nothing to do with their intelligence but because the answer was way too absurd; at least in the world, it was considered unimaginable!

The Vice President of the Mercenaries Association, Juventus, had also been invited. He and Dwightsteel looked at each other and shook their heads. Although they were smiling, they were actually very disappointed.

In this world, everything came with a price. The only reason the Mercenaries Association and Chamber of Commerce had supported Han Jin was because they believed that he was the one who could cause chaos to the world and at the same time be powerful enough to completely control the chaos. Plus, Han Jin was a young man, meaning he had enough time to grow and mature.

At the same time, they were silently waiting for Han Jin to start exploding. Slaying a dragon was not a huge deal. If Han Jin could defeat any notorious lords, that would be best.

Both the Mercenaries Association and the Chamber of Commerce already knew that Zaganide had intervened in the situation in Beit League. They had been looking forward to Han Jin’s counterattack, but who knew that Han Jin had been building a ship instead. Some of them were really disappointed with this and there were even some who already started complaining. So what if the ship could travel on land? Could it climb over the mountains? Could it cross rivers? It was said that the width of the ship was over 40 meters. Where would they find roads that were wide enough for the ship to travel on land? Han Jin was acting crazy!

Dwightsteel could not read Juventus mind, but he still maintained a polite smile. The King Mercenary Corps was in full preparation, and Han Jin was their leader. No matter what his thoughts were, he wouldn’t show it in front of a crowd. At most, he would try and privately talk to Han Jin about it.

It wasn’t only Dwightsteel who had the same thoughts. There were many of them who were thinking of the same thing. All of them expected the ship to be something magnificent, but once they saw it with their own eyes, they were greatly disappointed. They couldn’t believe that Han Jin had wasted so much time and effort on this thing. However, no one wanted to ruin the mood. Even Jeddes maintained a smile on his face and kept quiet. Just because he didn’t lie didn’t mean that he had to say something mean; he could choose to remain silent.

Again, this was because the real answer was too absurd! Some of them actually did think of it, but it was impossible for such a huge thing to travel in the air! Since ancient times, had anyone heard of someone making such a thing? They themselves found it ridiculous to even think that way.

However, there were a few of them who were genuinely happy. These people were Sunier, Moxinke, and Yalina, along with some of them who had followed Han Jin from before. There was always a cause behind every effect. Their friendship was not built on any benefits. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have brought along Han Jin and Steelberg who were useless from the very beginning. Otherwise, Yalina could have arrogantly left after compensating him as soon as she had escaped from danger. Why would she stay and mingle around with these mercenaries?

In fact, Sunier and Moxinke had never looked down upon Han Jin, and even regarded Steelberg as one of their own. Even the proud and talented Yalina had stayed.

This was because they genuinely liked and trusted him!

They didn’t care about what the ship could do. As long as Han Jin was the one who had completed it, they would cheer and applaud him for it because that’s what friends do. What’s the use of the ship? This was a nonsensical question for them.

Han Jin released a charm with his back hand, and along with a sharp sound, the charm was shot directly at the sky. Then, a faint shadow started surrounding the giant ship. This was formed by the thunderbirds who were led by Little Gold Bolt. The thunderbirds had grown at an extremely fast speed with the help of the Spiritual Beast Sacrifice. Usually, it would take at least three months before the thunderbirds could learn how to fly, but now, all of them were already able to fly.

Soon, the thunderbirds landed on both sides of the deck and curiously stared at the rest of them.

“Hold on tight.” Han Jin smiled as he sat on the chair.

Suddenly, the giant ship started trembling and moving.

“Hahaha, it’s really moving! Sir Raphael, you are a genius!” Juventus started laughing, but soon, his smile stiffened. He then violently pushed away Dwightsteel who was in his way, and rushed toward the edge of the ship. As soon as he saw the situation, he froze like a statue.

The faces of Juventus and Dwightsteel all changed and started rushing towards the edge of the ship as they felt like the ship was slowly rising.

Then, Sunier, Moxinke, Cessacioun, and the rest of them started moving towards the edge. They were right! The ship was slowly ascending from the ground, and the forest below them was becoming smaller and smaller. They could even see the lights from Isolated Cliff City which were very far away.

All of them were dumbfounded!

Han Jin was calmly sitting on his seat. His mind had already been fully integrated with the ship. In fact, this ship was an incomplete magic weapon. It was just a magic weapon that was much larger than usual, and therefore, Han Jin had needed to put in a lot more time and energy.

In Isolated Cliff City, some of them saw a scene that they would never forget. A giant, broad-bladed sword was travelling in the sky and cutting the moon into two halves!

Everyone on the ship was speechless for a period of time, and Yalina was the first one who started screaming. Her entire face was flushed red with excitement, and she was hitting the boat as if she couldn’t feel pain. The thunderbirds who were also there were frightened by her and moved away from her while vigilantly watching her.

This had overthrown their common sense! It was a miraculous overturn of common sense!

Jeddes, Juventus, and Dwightsteel were all equally shocked and excited at the same time. However, with their age and status, they were not used to expressing themselves with any body language.

“OH MY GOD...!!!” Yalina was still screaming. “Raphael, how did you do it?!”

“Shit! I can be considered a Dragon Knight now, right?! You guys tell me, am I right? Am I right??” Moxinke was howling at the top of his lungs.

In comparison to the magicians, warriors like Moxinke were the most excited. This was the first time they had ever traveled in the air.

“This is unbelievable... I can’t believe this...” Juventus was clenching on to the edge of the ship while his body was trembling with excitement. He was also a warrior! The disapproval from before had gone with the wind.

Jeddes was in a daze. He had far more experience than Hogan on the battlefield. He could immediately think of anything Hogan could think of, and even what Hogan could not think of.

“Masters!” Hogan laughed. “This is just the beginning”
