Chapter 1210 - Instigation

Chapter 1210: Instigation

Li Qubing looked at Deng Datong with a smile and shook his head. Clearly, Deng Datong was really scared.

“You said he would really kill me?” Deng Datong frowned.

“Who knows.”

Deng Datong let out a sigh. “No, he doesn’t dare to!” He shook his head.

“Then try and see if he dares to!”

“Don’t you scare me.”

“Haha!” Li Qubing burst into laughter, shaking his head again. “Looks like you’re terrified!”

“Nonsense. If it were you, wouldn’t you be afraid?”

“I wouldn’t be afraid of anything if I hadn’t done anything wrong!” Li Qubing shook his head. “Old Deng, I think you should reflect on yourself. Don’t keep thinking about seizing opportunities with trickery. After all, it’s not a long-term solution.”

“Let’s get through this first before we talk about that!”

“In my opinion, you should stop it.” Li Qubing shook his head. “Just think about it. If you keep forcing him to help you, he will definitely be annoyed!”

“I’m not willing to let it go just like that!” Deng Datong sighed.

“Wait till you’re dead then!” Li Qubing said agitatedly, “Let’s not discuss other things, you should get through your current situation first!”

Deng Datong furrowed his eyebrows as he was reminded of his own injuries.

With his abilities alone, he could not possibly recover completely. For immediate recovery, he had to ask someone else for help. Unfortunately, he had taken advantage of too many people in the past, so he was not exactly the most popular person. At this critical time, nobody would help him when he is in need. They would rather add insult to his injury.

“Alright, you should think about it. I’m going to Divine Light Basilica for something, then I will go downhill. You can stay here for a little longer. I will be back in ten days.” Li Qubing chuckled as he got up.

“Ten days!” As soon as Deng Datong heard that, he grew so anxious that he seemed unable to calm down.

Li Qubing burst out in laughter as he made his way out of the courtyard.

Deng Datong was so overwhelmed with anxiety that he spat out blood.

...

Chu Li appeared in Snow Lunar Pavilion.

Amongst all the water pavilions on Snow Lunar Lake, he could still vaguely make out Su Ru’s water pavilion. Instead of directly showing up in Li Hanyan’s water pavilion, he chose Su Ru’s water pavilion instead.

Chu Li did that because he was worried that something embarrassing might happen. After all, men should keep an appropriate distance from women.

His Omniscient Mirror quickly scanned Li Hanyan’s house. Li Hanyan was not there.

He frowned.

Chu Li did not want to enter Snow Lunar Pavilion in his true appearance, so as not to expose his relationship with Du Feng.

Li Hanyan was aware of his real identity, so he was not worried about her.

Observing with the Omniscient Mirror, he soon found Li Hanyan on the martial arts field. She was practicing Swordsmanship alone in a corner. Her sword techniques were sharp and fierce, and there was a murderous aura surrounding her.

That whole place was very lively. Everybody was practicing martial arts individually. None of them dared to approach Li Hanyan, not because Li Hanyan’s martial arts were powerful, but because there was a lot of murderous intent in her swordsmanship. Once close to it, one would feel like being placed inside an ice-cold cellar. The coldness would wrap around the whole body, reaching deep within the soul itself.

Chu Li shook his head and smiled. It seemed that Li Hanyan had become a more fearsome figure in Snow Lunar Pavilion.

Li Hanyan seemed to have felt something, as her sword came to a sudden halt. She glanced at her own water pavilion, then sheathed her sword and returned there.

The people around her were subconsciously relieved. They watched as her graceful figure slowly faded into a silhouette.

Before long, Li Hanyan arrived at Su Ru’s water pavilion. She gently pushed the door, and a smile appeared on that cold, frosty melon face of hers.

Chu Li waved toward her.

Li Hanyan went to him in light steps, a faint fragrance emanating in the air. “Brother Chu!”

Chu Li looked at her from top to bottom. Besides becoming more beautiful and radiant, the coldness around her had become much richer now. Her cultivation level had increased greatly.

“What brings you here, Brother Chu?” Li Hanyan smiled sheepishly.

Chu Li shook his head and said, “To have a look at what you did.”

“Have I done anything wrong?” Li Hanyan gasped.

Chu Li said, “Killing a Patrol from the Holy Church of Light?”

“So, you’ve heard...” Li Hanyan stuck out her tongue and scoffed. “Not my fault that he’s careless!”

“You know how much trouble you’ve caused?” Chu Li said.

Li Hanyan let out a scoff and said, “It’s just a Patrol, what’s the big deal!”

“Do you know how many Patrols there are in the Holy Church of Light!” Chu Li shook his head in disbelief. “The Holy Church of Light will not let this slide so easily, what are you going to do then?”

“I’ll just deal with them when they’ve come,” Li Hanyan said.

Chu Li said, “They will send two or more Patrols to get you, do you think you can handle it?”

“Hehe, don’t I have you, Brother Chu!” Li Hanyan laughed sheepishly.

Chu Li burst into laughter. “No wonder you are so daring.”

Li Hanyan chuckled. “Will they really send so many people?”

“Yes,” Chu Li replied. “Based on their style of work, they will not let you off the hook.”

“Just let them come, I’ve been wanting to kill a few more of them so that everyone gets the message that Snow Lunar Pavilion should not be bullied!” Li Hanyan sneered.

Chu Li frowned and said, “There are people still eyeing us on the outside?”

“They never stopped.” Li Hanyan sneered. “They’re all idiots who won’t cry until they see their own coffins. I can’t wait to kill them one by one!”

“Do you still chant every day?” Chu Li asked.

“Of course,” Li Hanyan replied.

“That doesn’t seem to help, your thirst for killing is getting worse.” Chu Li shook his head and pondered for a moment. Then he said, “I will pass you a scripture later, you should change to chanting this.”

“Brother Chu, there is no contradiction between chanting and killing.” Li Hanyan laughed. “I kill to save people. My heart is still full of compassion.”

Chu Li laughed and shook his head. He decided to drop the topic. “If you want to continue killing, it is better for you to head to the Fu Dynasty.”

“I heard there’s plenty of skillful masters in Fu Dynasty!” Li Hanyan frowned. “I’m afraid I won’t gain a foothold there.”

“With your current cultivation level, you should be fine as long as you’re careful,” Chu Li said.

“If I go to the Fu Dynasty, the Holy Church of Light would not be able to find me, will they hunt down and kill our Snow Lunar Pavilion disciples then?” Li Hanyan sounded a little worried.

Chu Li said, “Then you let the whole world know of your departure. Let the Holy Church of Light go hunting for you in the Fu Dynasty.”

“But why?” Li Hanyan was a little confused.

She figured that there must be a hidden meaning behind Chu Li’s words.

Chu Li said, “The Holy Church of Light has a very powerful influence here. Every one of your actions in the Ji Dynasty will not escape their radar. Yet, things are different in the Fu Dynasty, as they don’t have much power there. I can then assist you from the dark, and help you kill them.”

He had only a minimal emotional attachment to the Holy Church of Light. Ever since Li Ruolan’s death, it felt like his connection with the Holy Church of Light had been severed completely.

Sun Mingyue kept putting pressure on him, trying to let him learn via hardship, but he was not moved by her methods at all. Besides, Sun Mingyue would not talk about private affairs at all. It was only ever about the Holy Church of Light.

She would only do things that would benefit the Holy Church of Light. If it would not benefit them, she would not even care at all. Sun Mingyue’s attitude was exactly like the Emperor’s.

Chu Li was most disgusted with this kind of attitude. He held a similar disgust toward the Ji Dynasty Emperor, Leng Wufeng, and the same went to other people who behaved like that. He would rather strike these people down to the ground and beat them.

If Chu Li could take this opportunity to help Li Hanyan and have a good kill of those Holy Church of Light disciples, he would be really satisfied. As long as his identity was not exposed, the more he could kill, the better he would feel.

“Alright then, I shall leave tomorrow!” Li Hanyan said with a smile.

She started having visions of herself killing them one by one with her sword, giving all those Holy Church of Light disciples a good beating. Li Hanyan’s eyes glowed brighter and brighter. She could not wait to leave immediately to make her visions real.

Chu Li smiled and nodded. “If anything goes wrong, call me immediately.”

“Alright.” Li Hanyan nodded with assurance.
