Chapter 297 Back to the Guild

Chapter 297 Back to the Guild

Jake stretched his hands as he looked down. He was in a giant room, closed off without any windows.

But even without any windows, the room was brightly lit, with all the light coming from the ground.

He looked around to see hundreds if not thousands of items just radiating with light, coloring the room in their glow.

He chuckled, just looking at the giant treasury that was supposedly empty. And indeed, just a few thousand items meant that it was nothing for the thousands of guild members that were a part of Bright Horizon.

There was always going to be a need for better equipment. Not everyone had the luxury of having legendary equipment or even epic equipment that had incredible durability.

"Alright. Now this should help out a bit." He muttered as he started pouring down items from his own inventory.

At this point, his inventory was full of items that he didn't need, from when he was grinding in the Ogre Raid, and other raids that he completed along side the guild.

There were a bunch of epic items that he found along the way, and all of them were soon going to disappear.

The guild members were at the point where they could start affording the good epic items, and once that point came, he would have to start getting as many epic items as he could to try and outfit his entire guild.

Once his inventory was almost emptied, he turned around, stretching his arms.

Slowly, he walked toward the only exit of the room, a giant, iron door.

The door was like that of a giant safe, with a wheel instead of a handle that one could only turn from the outside.

He stepped up to the door and knocked on it five times, in a pre determined rhythm.

Thud!

The door started creaking, with the wheel turning slowly.

Light from the outside started seeping in and Jake let the door open widely.

There were three or four guild members outside, waiting for their guild master to come out.

But with the door wide open, they could clearly see the wares that the guild master had added to the treasury.

Jake smiled as he saw their stunned faces. He had added a few dozen epic items to the haul, and all of that was up for grabs.

"Gui- guild master." One of them stuttered.

Jake looked at them calmly and nodded.

"The vice guild master has a message for you. He- he said that the Tower Raid is opening in a month, and that you need to go to- I mean, you need to - finish your ascension-"

Jake raised his hand and stopped the poor, stuttering fool.

"Tell all of the guild members to finish their tier ascension in the next month as well, if they can. We need to be quick about this." He said as he nodded to the woman who opened the door.

He stepped out and glanced outside the window of this new room that he was in.

From here, he could see the giant training fields that had multiple people walking in and out.

Now, the guild headquarters was home to thousands of people, and it was always bustling. The guild lobby was full of people readying their buffs, with people coning in and out all the time.

His gaze travelled to the corner, where he saw a building that had absolutely no visitors, except for a curious few who wondered what it was.

"I completely forgot! I need to take a look at that place!" Realization suddenly dawned upon him.

He nodded at all of the guild members and the moment the treasury clicked shut, he started walking briskly to the entrance of the guild headquarters.

The guild members that walked the hall ways all flocked to the left and right, greeting their guild master and in a few minutes, Jake was all the way downstairs, looking at the Stables.

"Damn it. Just how stupid could I have been? How the hell did I forget to come to the stables?" He knocked himself on the head and walked into the stables.

There were two guards on either side, but they were hidden from plain sight, so that no one would know just how important this place was.

The moment he entered the stables, a musky smell hit him hard.

He covered his nose as he kept walking.

Occasionally, two or three roars just made his skin shiver. Just listening to them roar reminded him of just how much he went through in that jungle.

He kept walking down the room, looking to the sides. The room was filled with a bright, warm light, very much like the sun, but artificial.

There were stalls to each side, made of wood. These stalls weren't nearly big enough to take care of the big guns, but they were full though.

In these stalls were smaller beasts, as Jake decided to buy a few mounts for the guild to use later.

"Baron! What a pleasant surprise!" Suddenly, an old man appeared in front of Jake with a beaming smile.

"Beast Master Moran. I hope that everything has been going well." Jake smiled back as he kept looking around.

There were nine stalls in the stables, and all nine were full. But what he came for was further in.

"How are the two doing? I think they are supposed to ascend by now?" Jake asked.

"Indeed. Captivity has hindered their ferocity, but they are of an excellent breed. A truly excellent breed. This has been the best I've ever raised. Truly an honor." The beast master said as he led Jake further down the long corridor.

The roars started growing louder and more high pitched and soon, Jake could see where they were coming from.

He looked forward, where the biggest stable was taken up by a bunch of hay and a giant egg.

And to the sides, smaller versions of his past opponents.
