Chapter 46 - Good Performer
Chapter 46 Good Performer
Gu Wan added, “I don’t know why my mother suddenly wants to change the engagement. Actually, I’ve never thought of taking anything from Chuchu. I’ve already explained it to her, but Chuchu seems to have misunderstood me. Mr. Feng, can you help me explain?”

Gu Chu felt Feng Jia’s gaze shift to her face. She controlled her expression so he couldn’t see through it.
Feng Jia said, “You don’t have to do anything. She won’t misunderstand.”
Gu Wan sounded a little anxious. “I won’t do anything! I swear!”
She stammered, “Mr. Feng, actually, I want you to be happy more than anyone else. As long as I can see you from afar, I’ll be very happy…” Gu Chu: “???”
That’s it.
The classic quote!
“I’ll treat you like a big brother. Your girlfriend seems to have misunderstood me.”
“As long as you’re happy, it’s okay for me to be misunderstood.”
“It’s good that you’re happy. I want you to be happy more than anyone else…” Gu Chu’s fists hardened.
She continued to inhale deeply, afraid that she would be unable to control herself and jump up to slap Gu Wan!
However, Feng Jia didn’t say anything, and the living room was silent for a while.
Gu Chu didn’t know why he didn’t say anything, but she couldn’t open her eyes to look at his expression. She thought to herself, would a bastard also fall for this trick?
“Mr. Feng?” Gu Wan asked uncertainly.
Finally, Feng Jia said, “If that’s what you want to tell me, then you’re worrying too much.”
The corners of Gu Chu’s lips curled up.
Gu Wan was stunned and almost cried, “Mr. Feng…”
At this moment, the staff of the villa walked in and interrupted Gu Wan, “Mr. Feng, Mr. Lu has something to ask you.”
“Okay.” Feng Jia stood up.
Gu Wan knew when to move forward and when to retreat. She did not dare to stop him from doing serious matters. She sniffed and said, “Go do your work. I’ll take good care of Chuchu.”
Feng Jia said, “Don’t touch her.”
Gu Wan was even more stunned. “Do you think I’ll hurt her?”
Gu Chu: “???”
Her fists could not be tighter.
If Feng Jia thought she would hurt her, he definitely would not leave them in the same room.
What he meant was, he did not want to disturb her sleep!
Is this pretentious bitch always pretending to be wronged?
Feng Jia seemed to be speechless as well. Without saying anything, he followed the staff and left.
Gu Chu heard the sound of footsteps leaving, so she opened her eyes. She saw Gu Wan still staring at the direction he left in a daze, as if she really was wronged. Tears welled up in her eyes.
She couldn’t take it anymore!
Gu Chu asked, “Do you like Feng Jia?”
Gu Wan turned around and was surprised to see her awake. “Chuchu, you’re awake?”
She answered, “Yes. I have been awake since you started speaking.”
“Chuchu, please don’t misunderstand. I didn’t mean anything by it.”
Gu Chu was amused. “I remember that you studied business in university, right? Why do I feel like you studied performing arts instead? Otherwise, why are you so good at
it?”
“What did I do?” Gu Wan bit her lower lip. “Chuchu, ask yourself, I’ve never wronged you, but you still have enmity towards me. Why?”
She asked again, “Could it really be as the rumors said, that you blame me for taking away our parents’ affection for you? So you hate me?”
How the tides turned. Gu Chu’s face suddenly turned cold. “You didn’t do anything? You’ve been back for more than a month, haven’t you done enough? Jiang Qing and Wang Yun spread rumors about the change in engagement. Do you dare to say that it has nothing to do with you?”
Gu Wan clenched her fingers. How did she know?
Then, a look of grievance and anger flashed across her face. “Do you have evidence? Why are you slandering me like this?”
She held it back. “Chuchu, I’m your sister after all. No matter how much you dislike me, you shouldn’t blame me for something that I didn’t do!”
Gu Chu watched her performance quietly, then, she took out her phone and said, “I’m not trying to sue you. Collecting evidence is the police’s business. I just need to call my parents and tell them. They will determine whether it’s true or not.”
Seeing that she seemed to be serious, Gu Wan immediately pounced on her. “No!”
Gu Chu quickly dodged. Even though Gu Wan’s feet were injured which made her less agile, she was still capable of dodging despite the cold she was having.
As she dodged, she flipped her hand and pushed her onto the sofa.
Gu Wan looked back in a sorry state. Gu Chu sneered at her.
