Chapter 14 - Shooting Spree
Tratatatata! Tratatata! Loud sounds of gunshot rang through the air in rapid succession.
Right as he arrived in front of the bunker, Viktor suddenly found himself coming back to his senses.
"Argh!" Viktor gritted his teeth in anger. "This is all that Patroski's fault! That backstabber bastard!"
As he was holding the machine gun and continued his shooting spree towards the crowd of ugly-looking undead, Viktor cursed under his breath.
The bastard reminded him of his past regret, and clouded his judgment. Now that he was once again facing a threatening situation, he quickly regrets what he did.
Fortunately, he didn't face all these troublesome troubles that could potentially end his life for nothing, as he obtained something else by being here.
As more notifications appeared in his mind, Viktor could be seen smiling in delight.

[You have received 1 points in endurance]
[You have received 1 points of spirit force]
Tratatatattata! Tratatatatatta!
Thanks to his increased strength and agility, Viktor was able to handle the machine gun without any problems whatsoever. This naturally startled and shocked the couple Boris and Torri, especially the latter. They didn't expect their lecherous young master to actually be so capable.
His newfound strength enabled him to tightly grip the weapon and bear the powerful recoil of the heavy gun, while his agility increased his dexterity and eye-hand coordination, making him able to aim and move the gun muzzle towards his desired targets better and faster.
Viktor kept his finger on the trigger as the machine gun fired bullets as if there was no tomorrow. As a result, the horde started to visibly thin as the zombies' corpses gradually piled up on the snowy floor.
But then, Viktor realized there was no way he could indefinitely hold the line. Something needed to be done.
He glanced towards Boris who was looking after the injured Torri. Right as the man finished bandaging the wounds, they immediately got to their feet once again. Grabbing the firearms near them, they quickly made their way to their positions ready to fight again.
However, right as they took out their weapons, Viktor shook his head and quickly stopped them. He told the injured Torri to go inside to grab supplies and ammo for him.
Meanwhile, he ordered Boris to cover fire on the back of the bunker and see if there is a possible, relatively safe escape route.
"What kind of supplies master?"
He suddenly realize this guy would not know what he wanted and then said "just get ammo and called on Barry to come see me"
Understood they were still in predicament. They swiftly went back inside and executed his orders.
Viktor turned his attention back to the front, continuing to man the machine gun and shoot the zombies to his heart's content.
Taratatatatatatata!
As he kept on shooting, Viktor realized an annoying fact. Now, he would not receive one notification unless he killed at least a dozen zombies. As time went on, he spent two and a half belt's worth of ammo yet only managed to receive 7 notifications.
He had spent almost 600 bullets to kill more or less two hundred zombies, three or four of them the tougher red one, yet he didn't receive much improvement for his status.
Not only that, out of all the notifications he received, he only obtained three endurance points while his spirit force increased by seven points.
"Djinn, what the fuck is this now?!" Viktor shouted, his voice difficult to hear amongst all the ear-deafening gunshots.
<Kekeke… Let's just say that your body has already gotten used to the power received from this type of creature.>
"Hah! You're not going to make things easy for me, aren't you, Djinn?!"
<Kekeke! Easy? If only you know how easy it already is for you.>
Clickk!! Cliickk!!
"Dammit, I need more ammo!!"
Viktor glanced behind him, but there was still no sign of Boris returning. Furthermore, his situation quickly turned grim; as with many of the stage 1 zombies dead, the red ones were able to dodge the bullets more easily now that the space was cleared.
Two of them simultaneously charged at him, and without his knife, Viktor could only depend on the desert eagle he packed for protection. Unfortunately for him, there was no other way.
Bangg!! Bangg!! Bangg!!
Right now, Viktor was standing at the precipice of life and death. He had to depend on not just his own newfound power, but also the skills he learned back when he was young.
Bangg!! Bang!!
5 bullets plus the 4 before, and his 9 rounds magnum was gone with the death of the two red creatures
When the third red zombie came, there was no time for him to reload the magnum. As such, he couldn't just use the gun to shoot the monster. His only choice was close combat.
Viktor thus decided to take the initiative by dashing ahead and tackling the monster, and right as he did, the training he was subjected to when he was young kicked in like an instinct. He held the monster's neck with both arms and threw it down like a wrestler, before he slammed the handgun handle onto its face, multiple times until it stopped moving, dead.

[You have received 1 points in endurance]
However, this time the notification did not make him happy at all. As the result of killing the monster with brute force, the black stinky liquid that had been its blood sprayed to his body and face, staining him with an inky viscous goo that smelled really bad.
"Aarrrgggghhh my precious robes! Damn you filthy monster!"
As Viktor shouted in rage, the fourth and fifth red zombie finally arrived. It was apparent that he was caught unprepared. They rushed at him, arms outstretched and ready to strike.
However…
Tratatatatata
A rain of bullets quickly made the two monsters jump back in fright.
The shots were from Boris, the bodyguard assigned to check behind the bunker. Although his arrival brought Viktor some relief, the message he brought did not.
"We are completely surrounded, master!!"
Viktor once again cursed, what kind of situation did he just put himself into?
Right after Boris came out from the bunker, three of the male guests followed suit. One of them was Nicko.
Each brought different types of guns, but their grip was shaky, and their expressions looked panicked.
Viktor shook his head, as with one glance he could conclude that he can't hope much from this bunch. He was looking for more machine gun ammo, only to see Torri brought something more exciting that literally made his eyes light up from inside the bunker.
"Give that to me, now!!"
