You're My Only Star

Chapter 10 - A Lunatic

Song Xing Xing stared at her wrist which was being squeezed by the man in front of her.

She raised her head and met the angry man's gaze behind his black-rimmed glasses. A deep frown appeared on her face when Song Xing Xing realized that she did not know this person.

Moreover… what did he had asked her? Reporter? What reporter? What media? Did she look like she's a reporter?

Song Xing Xing tried to wriggle her hand out of that man's grasp but found that the man had only tightened his grasp instead.

"What are you talking about? I am not a reporter!" Song Xing Xing hissed. Her gaze shifted towards where Chang Yi was standing. She caught him whispering something to his partner before the two of them turned to look in her direction.

At this time, Song Xing Xing realized that she might be in trouble.

If Chang Yi discovered her at this place, he will ask her questions. She didn't know the story between Chang Yi and that model. They could be friends or cousins. Everything that Bai Zhi had suspected might purely be a misunderstanding.

Anyway, she should not judge people too quickly.

If this was nothing more than a misunderstanding, then she might be that person who ruined Bai Zhi's relationship with her long-time boyfriend. The point was that she did not want to be caught in their matter.

Lu Xun narrowed his eyes. "Stop pretending. I saw what you were doing previously. I saw you shooting a few photos of Zhen Qi."

A few days ago, he was rumored to with actress Feng Miao Miao and was still annoyed with that woman. Lu Xun was not planning to allow anyone to create any gossip about him at this time.

Song Xing Xing stared back at him with a dazed look on her face. She did not know any Zhen Qi and could not understand what was this person talking about.

Seeing that the person in front of him was not responding, Lu Xun shifted his gaze towards the phone in her hand. "Give that to me."

Song Xing Xing turned her attention back to the person in front of her and could not stop cursing him for his lunatic behavior. She did not know how did she had offended this man, but there was no way that she was going to hand over her phone.

Perhaps it was because due to lighting, perhaps it was due to her guilty conscience and panic, but at this time, Song Xing Xing was unable to recognize the man in front of her.

Hiding her phone behind her, Song Xing Xing then looked at him with her wide eyes. "Uncle, what do you want to do?"

His eyes twitched.

What uncle? He was not that old, alright? He was only in his early thirties!

Lu Xun felt his blood boiled. He tried to snatch the woman's phone, but she was quick enough to slide them into her back pocket jeans. Worried that he might be accused as a pervert, Lu Xun chose to be patient.

He gave the woman a look over and saw the way she was dressed. A thought came to his mind and Lu Xun sneered. "You're not here with an invitation, are you? Show me your invitation card, or else, I will have to call the security guard."

Song Xing Xing froze. Panic, she tried to get rid of his hand and escape, but the man's grip on her was too tight.

On another side, Chang Yi and his partner were heading in her direction.

A few cursing words escaped her. Seeing that the man had no intention to let her go, Song Xing Xing raised her leg and stomped hard on his foot.

Whatever will happen, will happen. First thing first, she needed to escape fast.

A gasp escaped him and Lu Xun released his grip on that woman's arms. He was not expecting the woman to pull such a move on him. When he snapped out of his trance, Lu Xun saw that woman was heading to the exit.

He ignored the pain in his foot and started to chase after that person.

Song Xing Xing made her way through the crowd and hoped that the people who came after her will not be able to catch her.

What she wished for did not come true.

Song Xing Xing felt someone gripped at her wrist again, forcing her to turn around.

The same lunatic was holding on to her wrist tight. Meeting the man's darkened face, Song Xing Xing felt her body tremble in fear. Before she was able to say a word, that man had tugged at her wrist, dragging her to a less crowded place.

When she looked clearly, Song Xing Xing realized that the man was dragging her towards the security guard. She tried harder to wriggle out of the man's tight grip and knew that the same tactic would not work again at this time.

Lu Xun turned around and hissed. "Stop struggling and come with me."

"Uncle, please listen to me, alright. I'm not a reporter." Song Xing Xing tried to explain, but that man doesn't seem as if he was going to listen to her.

He finally stopped as they reached in front of the security guard.

"This person entered the venue without an invitation," Lu Xun said to the security guard. "I caught her sneaking around, trying to snap some photos. There are a lot of celebrities and important people in the hall. How did you allow someone like this to enter?"

The two security guards exchanged a glance. One of them pulled out their walkie-talkie and started to report the situation to their higher-ups.

Song Xing Xing looked around and was relieved to see that Chang Yi had not followed her out. She shot a pleading gaze to that man and spoke, "Let's discuss this properly. I wasn't taking your pictures."

"Then, show me your phone." Lu Xun said.

Frustrated that the man doesn't seem to listen to her, Song Xing Xing pulled her phone and went through her gallery. "You see, I wasn't taking any picture of you." She shoved her phone to that person's face.

Lu Xun narrowed his eyes and sneered. "Miss reporter, are you sure?"

Noticing that something doesn't seem right, Song Xing Xing looked at the picture again. Chang Yi and his partner were standing not far from this lunatic. Because of that, this lunatic, along with a few other people around him appeared in her photo.

Song Xing Xing looked up at the man again, and this time, she was not as courageous as she was before.
