Chapter 1253 A Mother's Grief
In the mountainous region of far Xinjiang, a family of three had come on a picnic to get away from the stressful life of the city for a day in the quiet mountains.
It was so quiet that it could cause some people to feel frightened. Even though this region was bustling with extremely tall trees and ample beautiful vegetation, in the deeper parts of the mountains, which should be a haven for all sorts of animals and birds, there were none to be seen.
Right now, the family couldn't help but regret coming here. The reason was that the couple had lost their only son in the wilderness of these mountains. While searching for her son, the mother had stumbled upon who knew how many times until she finally found her lost hope when she saw the small cluster of flowers that her son had picked up not long ago.
After walking for a few more moments, the scene before her eyes made her widen her eyes in shock and fright. Not more than 50 meters right before her, she saw a figure on top of a cliff that was holding something in its hands.
From the looks of it, although the figure looked human-like, she couldn't find any resemblance that she could when comparing it to a normal person. Although the figure was wearing clothes that appeared like robes worn in ancient times, she could surely tell that the figure was definitely not human.
Even if the distance between her and the figure was quite a lot and she could not discern the features of the figure, she could somehow make out the fact that the face of the figure was nothing but a skull with a small amount of flesh covering it, and the same was for the hands and the legs.
The more she looked at the figure the more she felt frightened and what called her to skip a heartbeat was the fact that the small figure in the arm of the figure and Robes was Nan other than her own son, Huo.
"Huoo!"
She tried to call out but no voice could escape her throat and seeing her son, unconscious in the hands of the figure made her be worried even more.
No matter how much you wanted to rush ahead and free her child from the grasp of the figure, her legs were not willing to move even a bit.
She could only stand there staring trying to call out for her son with her hoarse voice.
Meanwhile, on the cliff at which the woman was staring with her eyes wide open, tears flowing nonstop down her cheeks, the figure that was holding her son stared at the little guy in his hand with the one eye that seemed to be normal.
Raising one of his arms that was none other than just bones he dug his claw-like bony fingers deep into the boy's chest causing a trail of blood to flow from his hand and fall on the rocky surface below.
"HAAAHH!"
Seeing such a scene taking place right before her eyes while her son's body was being mutilated by a heinous creature, a deep pain started to rise in her heart, no matter how much she wanted to cry no word was willing to leave her lips.
"Huo... huo, my son..."
She could only bite her lips as she saw her own flesh and blood, the little child that she had carried in her womb and loved so dearly being mutilated right before her eyes and his blood dripping like some water dripping from a stream.
A few moments later, everything before her eyes started to get dizzy and she started to lose consciousness.
It was unknown if it was due to the grief or due to the thorny plant that had scrapped her but her whole body had turned stiff and maybe that was also the reason why she was not noticed by the figure that had killed her son before her eyes, if not then maybe she herself might also have had the same fate.

"I wish I was there in his place."
On the hospital bed, the woman sitting before Ye Qian had her whole being shaking as tears of grief and pain started shaking her tears started pouring down from her eyes.
Ye Qian could only hold his head low not daring to imagine just what kind of torture she might have gone through at that time.
Being right there but still couldn't even raise her voice while her child of mere a few years was killed before her very eyes.
This was just the worst kind of torture or even a nightmare that might be haunting her for these two years.
Ye Qian extended his hand and gently stroked her head knowing that this was what she needed the most.
He understood that while she was still sane, whenever she might have talked about this to anyone they might have thought that she had lost her mind due to her son suddenly being lost.
And not even her parents would completely believe her words no matter how much they would want to.
The reason was not that they couldn't believe anything that she had said about, but because there was no one who might think even a bit that any of this was true.
And that only made her even more saddened.
Having literally no one to talk to in these two years only made her force all that deep within her heart while still trying her best to stay sane for getting revenge for her son.
Although, the chances of her being able to forgive herself were less knowing that every time she thought about her she would be blaming herself for not even taking the least bit of action, she would still get some kind of peace.
"After knowing that I had gotten revenge for my son, I wanted to get back to him and not stay in this place anymore, but they didn't even let me meet my son."
She whimpered as Ye Qian carefully patted her back.
