Back For My Daughter

Chapter 1254 Would Her Son Want Her To Cry?

"I don't know what you might have gone through, but that was not your fault back then."

Ye Qian shook his head trying to comfort her.

She had told her all about the place and also the way her son was skilled.

And he could roughly think why the corpse general had killed her son as well.

The reason should be pretty much similar to the reason why he had come here to take Yuan Meng along with him to his master.

But of course, Ye Qian didn't believe that the little boy would have the same special body as Yuan Meng either.

Yuan Meng had jumped from not having even a tiny bit of Spiritual Qi in her body to her current cultivation which was just at the cusp of letting her enter the Chi Gathering realm.

It should be kept in mind that she had already gone over the age of what could be considered as the best if one wanted to start cultivation and also have some reasonable accomplishments.

But even then, she had achieved this breakthrough in just a matter of mere 3 weeks.

One should know that even if there was someone who was the same age as that Yuan Meng and wanted to start cultivating even if they lived in the Lesser Heavens, they would still need at least a year to even sense the Spiritual Qi around them and then another half a year just for trying to focus this energy into nourishing their own body and also rise their cultivation.

But that had not even taken Yuan Meng in place which didn't even have as much as a percent of Spiritual Qi as that of the lesser heavens.

And the corpse general was indeed talking about vitality and energy, so Ye Qian was sure that the so-called master of the guy wanted Yuan Meng's vitality which was Spiritual Qi that was in her body and the like.

And with the guy's power, it was not hard for him to notice this lady back then and yet she was not harmed by him at all.

So this made Ye Qian confirm his suspicion that this woman's son also had some special body albeit not like that of Yuan Meng but he had still achieved some cultivation back then.

After a few moments as he saw her sober and nod, Ye Qian asked.

"You said that your son liked to play in the gardens and also in places with fewer people around."

Ye Qian pursed his lips as he thought of something.

"Hmm, Huo would always tell me to bring him to the parks and places with many natural things and also some places that he might have never gone to and when I would ask him how come he knew of these places then he would say that they were calling for him."

As she recalled, a smile couldn't help but appear on her face.

But soon enough that turned into even more grief.

These two years, there was really no one whom she had spoken to and had thought of any of her words as true.

And even if this man before her seemed to believe her and also felt bad for her, but she could see that this was not just because of some sympathy, but he really felt bad for her and she also felt as if although he didn't say it to her, he also had experienced his fair share of longing and helplessness with his family.

But even then he didn't want to say anything about his own experience and still said that her pain and grief were not something that he could ever imagine.

Of course, what Ye Qian had said was indeed true, the mere thought of having one's blood and soul being killed before their eyes was not anything that one could forget, but what the woman had thought was true.

Maybe, living for 40 more years would have made her lose some of her pain and then she would have died without being forced to remember that nightmarish scene.

But that was not the same for Ye Qian.

He had lived all those 5000-plus years in deep longing and also always in fear that the moment he went back after attaining the pinnacle of power to get back to his family, all he would find would be bones and ashes that remained of them.

But still, each of their pain and grief was indeed not something that anyone would want to suffer even in their worst nightmares.

"He would never want you to simply cry remembering him right?"

A gentle smile appeared on his lips as Ye Qian urged.

"No, the little guy would always say that if I cry then he will run away."

The woman burst into a smile as she remembered.

This was the first time that she had smiled after that incident.

"Then I think you should smile more often when you remember him and not always remember that incident, no matter how hard it is to."

Ye Qian sighed, he just didn't have the courage to say any of that when looking into her eyes.

He was just telling a mother to forget about the fact of how her son was killed right before her eyes.

Just who in their right mind is able to forget such an incident that might have been deeply rooted in the deepest part of one's heart and mind?

For a moment even he himself couldn't help but want to know what he really meant by those words.

"You are right, he would never want me to cry even if he is not with me and now I know that it was not my fault but neither was it his."

The woman's eyes which had been lifeless all this long had a different kind of light in them as she uttered.

She then turned to Ye Qian and seeing him not willing to look into her eyes, she knew what was going on in his mind.

"And you are also a person who is not ordinary."
