Chapter 249: Stellar Trials! 2
What is happening?
This was the question everybody outside of the rift was asking, but how about those inside of it?
Most of them were too busy chasing rewards that they didn't even notice, and the high ranking ones especially.
However, there were those who had just entered. Some of these demi-celestials, and lesser celestials spotted something wrong, something ominous that made them stop in their tracks.
There was still a group of them who couldn't care less and they just went onwards to explore the wondrous Stellar Realm of treasures.
The white sky, the colorful clouds, the high mountains, the sparkling seas, the shining pillars of loot.
All of this stretched farther than the eye could see, and who would stop to think that this was nothing but the first level.
The monsters had yet to show up, but the celestials were far too busy to mind as they rushed as fast as they could towards the pillars.
This was a competition of speed; the fastest to reach the loot and unseals the barrier keeps the reward.
But would one be able to get the boons before the banes of enemies behind their backs fall on their head?
It remained to be seen.
This was the most prominent group of the celestials. The small gathering of cautious fellas who were worrying about the closed gate looked at each other in confusion and slight fear, not understanding what this could mean.
However, as much as they thought, it just didn't make sense. The lack of evidence, the impatience, and the doubts they all had, forced them to just move on.
The reason behind all of this, Draco Valenstein, however, was watching everything from a corner.
His senses had spread farther than any, and the reason behind that were the restrictions of the very realm. One couldn't fly, nor could they spread their senses, these were the two rules that everybody had to follow, forcefully.
The other rule was that nobody above the true celestial tier was allowed access, but this was obvious information as a treasure realm only allowed celestials of its rank and below enter.
For Draco to be able to spread his senses over a set of restrictions that not even the greater and supreme celestials could break… It went to speak of how absurd his phenomena were.
Authorities, or straight away, abnormalities that no one should have been able to access.
Draco had long delved deep into something nobody else had done. Draco had… touched the authority of the very Great Mother; everybody was scared off.
The owner of these whole galaxies and countless universes beyond, the capsule that held it all, the will that oversees every molecular change of its countless light eons of distance, the existence… That was greater than all.
This was the Great Mother. Nothing more was known about it except this. Was it a being? Was it just a will? Was it some kind of artifact? Or some kind of soul of an old powerhouse that had ascended beyond all known realms of power?
Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. But one thing remained true… Never mess with the Great Mother.
So far, Draco was touching these dangerous boundaries, but not to the point where he even gets a warning, which means that, the great mother just didn't want to.
It knew about Draco's wishes, it knew about his origins, it knew about his plans, it knew about his everything… well almost. But, what is important is that it knew about the phenomena he devoured yet never bothered to send down signs like the time when he created his Chaotic Mana Codex technique.
All of this didn't matter much to Draco currently. He was gazing down at everything that was going on in order to plan his next move, however, after barely a few seconds, he decided that the best course of action currently was to head towards the 4th level.
And that is exactly what he had done.
"Let's move, we need to reach the 4th level first." Draco spoke to Yapa.
The monkey turned serious, it was finally time for him to take action instead of just accompanying Draco.
Even though Draco could spread his senses, there was one thing he couldn't do, and it was to fly.
But, what did flying matter when he could appear anywhere he wanted in a split second?
The way to enter the second level was to kill one of the monsters of the first level, as one of the rewards was access forward.
Currently, there were no monsters in sight and most of the individuals here, aside from the high-ranking ones, were going around pillaging goodies. But the second Draco and the true celestials set foot close to the end of the first level…
*ROOOOOOAR*
The guardians appeared. It was surprising that there weren't guards close to every loot, but it seems like the way this treasure realm worked was quite different.
All that mattered was that one couldn't reach the second level before they passed through these shining eastern dragons.
Their bodies seemed crystallized, their eyes red and shiny, their color white, and their form… huge beyond belief.
Though they were barely as strong as demi-celestial, even EX-rank dragons were as huge as a mountain, not to mention these ones.
Their size was phenomenal, though even though they weren't true dragons, for those weren't so common, they held a tiny amount of blood within them similar to the ones in Portalia, and this was enough to cause fear to surface in the eyes of the true celestials.
"There are… dragons in here." It wasn't the demi-celestial dragons that scared them, no, it was the possibility of the next levels also holding dragons that made their skins shiver.
What if the boss in the fourth level was also a dragon? If that's the case, then not even all 25 of them could hold a candle against him.
