Global Awakening: Monster Taming Necromancer

Chapter 137: The elve guy

He danced back, easily avoiding them as they tried to pin him down, the vines are as thick as his hands and Jael knew those vines are poisonous.

"Unholy ma...." suddenly the vines stopped moving and then fell limp on the ground. When Jael looked up he scoffed with surprise. "Nicely done."

The elve attacking him is gone, he went through a hole on the ground. "So the bastard doesn't even want a fight, hes just trying to distract me while he work his escape. Not bad."

For a moment he debated if he should go after him since a skill like that can't have a long reach but he decided against it. "Now I'm the one that attracts the monsters."

Jael sighed and then stretched. "Time to turn out for the night."

He was turning back when a voice above a whisper said. "Thank you."

Jael turned back and a fake surprise look crossed his face. "You are alive."

The elve on the ground flopped himself on his back. "Yes, sorry for looking like this. It's that skill...that poisonous vines."

"Oh...okay. Take care then, don't shout when you see monsters okay, you'll only attract more and the next batch might not give you an easy death."

"Wait!... please." He shouted at Jael's retreating back. At first the elve thought he was being rescue. Or at least that's what he thought but why's his helper leaving him? "Stop. Help me please, at least till the poison is gone from my body."

Jael is still walking but the elve tried desperately once more. "I'll give you fifty badges....one hundred!"

Jael finally paused. Since he's made up his mind to get as many badges as he could then he should just help him a little. "One hundred badges?" He asked again for clarification.

He walked closer to him and noticed that his ring isn't with him, that must be the reason why he's not able to use his potion. Jael brought potions from his ring and gave it to him. "Here. This right here is one hundred badges worth."

The guy drank it as fast as it could touch his throat and gave a long sigh at the end. "Those bastards are too greedy for their own good but I'm sure he won't return. He only bullies the weak, he won't fight someone stronger than him."

Jael wanted to tell him that it's what everyone does, who want to fight those stronger than then? But he only said. "That doesn't look like bullying. They are trying to kill you."

The boy rolled his eyes. "What's the difference? Do you want to know what happened...?"

Jael gave it a thought then nodded. "Bring out my badges as you count."

"We are a team back in the Tower, well not team TEAN but we work together now and then. Fortunately when we were brought here for the second stage the three of us got here together. Be planned to move together but hunt separately. When I went earlier for my own hunt I saw some weak monster's lair and I got really lucky.

"But my big mouth too! I mentioned it when we met back at the base this evening. Then the two decided that we should share our loots and hunt together. All because I have more badges. I declined of course and that's how they poison my food and here we are! To think an elve will do this to me."

Jael nodded. "One...seventy...thirty... but you're also a bit slow. Why do you mention it to people you don't thrust? Well it's a bit if a boring tale. I'm going. Best of luck or whatever."

He began to make his way over to one of the monsters' lair, enjoying the last light of the day and wondering how the others are doing and if they would meet, when he suddenly stopped. "Why are you following me?"

The elve hurried up and knees in front of him. "Please my savior! I don't want to stay alone here in the night. Just provide shelter because he can be back if you're not there."

Jael looked at him flatly. "I really don't care what happen to you and I'm not your savior. I just happen to sell you a potion. And you paid for it in badges. Now if you'll excuse me."

The elve saw and opportunity and jumped at Jael, hugging his legs tight. "Pleassssssse. Just for this night! I can do anything you want. I'll have give you more badges but I don't have. I can do anything and I don't mind if it's girl or boy, pleasure is pleasure...you..."

Jael's eyes turned down flatly. "You can leave my leg now. And I like boobies and ass, thank you very much. You can follow me but leave a reasonable distance between us."

He hurried up. "Oh! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you. Can I have your name savior, my name is.....?"

"No need," Jael cut him off. He's not a nice or bad person, Jael considered himself as acting as the situation demands. He doesn't kill unless he was attacked or absolutely necessary.

He led the way over to the lair, thinking about the people he had killed just months into the Tower. He couldn't even remember the name of some of them. Jael sighed, to be fair his and his team's situation isn't normal for average Climber.

"Oh! Savior, are you the one that killed all this monsters? You sure are powerful! I bet they produce so many badges right."

Jael ignored him and set the bronze rank artifact that shone with light into the air above him as he made his way inside. The cave smell like wet dog, piss and dirty fur. But it's warm and out of the way.

It won't be easy for monsters and Awakeners to notice him. He brought a sleeping bag out and then lay on it, totally ignoring the elve as he came closer and sat down not far from him. Then his stomach growled.
