Chapter 356 - How about sharing?

Chapter 356: How about sharing?

When Xie Lianzhen returned, Lu Mingshu felt that a burden was lifted off her shoulder. Any thinking could be left to Xie Lianzhen.

Perhaps it was because he spent twenty years in a wheelchair with nothing he could do but think; thus he ended up mastering spell formations.

“The guards of this spell formation should have realized that there’s foreign matter in here.” Xie Lianzhen pointed out. “The emperor isn’t paying attention to us now because we are still insignificant to him. But if we remain here, alive and slowly restoring our strength, someone will come to end us sooner rather than later.”

“But it’s impossible for us to escape now.....”

“Yeah, let’s not talk about this first. But there are surely people who take turns to guard this place daily. If we get out, there will surely be someone who will notice. What we should be doing now is to stay here and recuperate before doing anything.”

The emperor thought they will definitely die after some time due to their serious injury. For example, Xie Lianzhen was still alive, but his meridians were nearly broken, and he had no mystic force left. Such an injury would take at least a few years to heal. On the other hand, Lu Mingshu’s situation was slightly better. When they fell, Xie Lianzhen took the impact for her, and secondly, the heavenly wheel treated her physical injuries. But even so, they were still considered as half-crippled, and anybody in the harmonization realm would be able to take their lives easily.

And in fact, if they weren’t stuck here, they wouldn’t be able to escape because of how injured they were now.

“Even if we aren’t injured, it would be hard for us to escape. The guard would be at least in the freezing spirit phrase, which is the spirit realm. If we want to sneak past safely, we can only wait for a chance.”

“The sea of cloud’s debate.” Lu Mingshu said without the slightest hesitation.

“Yes.” Xie Lianzhen smiled. “Tons of cultivators would come here when that happens, and it will be our chance then. Which means that we need to stay here for three years.”

Xie Lianzhen was still explaining, but Lu Mingshu’s mind was already elsewhere. ~When will the heavenly wheel give me my points? If they do, I don’t need to take any risk. And by right, the event has already come to an end, but I have still haven’t received my points. Is it because I was defeated by the emperor at the end, so it was deemed as a failure, or because I am still stuck here? It would be better if it was because I am still stuck here, or I will need to find another way to earn points....~

~Who cares? We won’t be able to leave soon anyway. Just follow what Xie Lianzhen suggested.~

Xie Lianzhen lowered down to get a better look and shook his head. “This is problematic. The spell formation is too complicated, so if we want to get the energy, it would be hard. I am not sure if I am able to do it.”

“Don’t worry.” Lu Mingshu said. “I’ll think of a way out.”

“You?” Xie Lianzhen stared at her weirdly.

“Yeah. No matter what method I use, I will be able to do it.”

“Okay, then it’s yours.” Xie Lianzhen smiled sweetly and step backward, allowing her to take a closer look at the formation.

Xie Lianzhen immediately agreed, but this made Lu Mingshu feel uneasy. “Don’t you have any other questions for me?”

“I believe in whatever you say. Save the proof.” Xie Lianzhen answered without a second thought.

But this made Lu Mingshu’s heart drop. “Are you not afraid that I might trick you?” she muttered.

“To me, your words matter the most” Xie Lianzhen stared at her with heart eyes while saying this.

“...”

Xie Lianzhen had already turned to observe other places. “Both of us are seriously injured. It’s not feasible for us to move around so much. Why not we rest first? But this will trouble little boo though; he would have to travel more.”

Little boo’s eyes shone. “It’s okay.” It replied in a robotic voice. “Little boo likes to walk; my previous master said only things that can move are living things.”

It was so lovable that it made Lu Mingshu’s heart melt. “You are already one.”

“Really?” Little boo’s robotic voice seems to be happy.

“Yeah.”

Back at Bei Ming, when the voyage fleet got Lu Mingshu to go to Jasper sun mountain, they have prepared her well and given her a full set of equipment, and now it all seemed to be useful.

“Eh, this tent looks quite good.” Xie Lianzhen fiddled with it and looked at her cheesily. “Mingshu.....”

“What the f*** do you want.”

“You see, I am seriously injured. Do you have the heart to let me sleep outside?” Before Lu Mingshu could reply, he shook his head and smiled sweetly. “I won’t let you sleep outside. If we had a choice, we would be resting comfortably on a bed right now.”

~So, both of us should share a tent?~

Receiving her glance, he immediately kept his hands behind him. “I promise you that I will not try anything with you, I will be as nice as little boo.”

Hearing its name, little boo, who was willingly bearing all the hard tasks looked over. “Ka?”

Seeing Lu Mingshu already cracking her knuckles, Xie Lianzhen jokingly moved away and started to whine. “Ah, my wounds, it hurts!”

It was just a joke, but Xie Lianzhen accidentally touched his injury, and now it hurt like mad. A cold sweat broke out from his forehead, and his lips turned extremely pale.

Seeing that Xie Lianzhen seemed to be in pain for real, she got behind him and made him lie down and stay still. “Let me have a look.”

After taking off his clothes, Lu Mingshu realized that blood had already seeped through the bandages. Like what Xie Lianzhen had said, if they were back at the seventh truth platform, they would already have been bed-ridden.

“Sit still, I’ll help you bandage them again.”

“Okay.” Xie Lianzhen nodded obediently. He sat still and did not make any noise while allowing her to remove the bandage, revealing a cut so deep that his bones could be seen.

Seeing that the injury had worsened, Lu Mingshu bit her lip and patted him carefully. “It will hurt, but try to endure it.”

“Okay.” He then looked back at her and smiled. “Don’t be afraid, I am still alive, just that I am slightly injured.”

“...”

Medicine was exchanged from the heavenly wheel, and it had great effects. Lu Mingshu even exchanged for a healing skill, using it while applying the medication. Seeing that the wound got smaller as time passed, she then heaved a sigh of relief and stopped.

After cleaning his wounds, Lu Mingshu rebandaged them. “Rest well for a few days until you get better.”

“I’ll sleep in the tent?” Xie Lianzhen looked at her, eyes shining.

“Yeah.”

“What about you?”

Lu Mingshu ignored him.

“I’m not going to allow you to sleep outside.” Xie Lianzhen continued. “It’s cold outside. What if you get sick?”

Lu Mingshu put her items back into her mustard seed pouch and looked at him. “Don’t you have a tent with you?”

“Why would I have such things?”

“But I remember that Yan Wugui had one though?”

Lu Mingshu gave him a death glare, and Xie Lianzhen shrugged. “Er, maybe ...I think....he has one?”

“Take it out!”

“...”

After two minutes, Xie Lianzhen lay inside one of the tents and looked out of it. “Are you really not going to share a tent with me? It’s so cold here, it will be warmer if the two of us share one.”

“Little boo.” Lu Mingshu called it over.

“Ka!” Little boo knew what she meant and immediately transformed into a heater.

“...”

Xie Lianzhen went back to his tent sulking.
