Second Marriage: My Strongest Bodyguard

Chapter 16 - Swapped Stories In The Moonlight

When it was nine o'clock in the evening, Bryana stood on the balcony in front of her room, gazing at the moon that shone alone with no accompanying stars.

Bryana saw a star that looked so small that it could shine as if it was accompanying the moon from a distance. For some reason, she remembered herself and the man who had been accompanying her for the last few days, who else could it be Dean?

Bryana feels back to trusting that there is a good man besides her brother, there is the hope of getting a good father for Calvin. Does Bryana mean Dean?

Bryana looked down at the courtyard of her house which looked not too bright, her gaze was fixed on the man who was walking while carrying a flashlight from the right side of her house.

"Dean," Bryana muttered, for some reason, there was a feeling that she couldn't stop herself from meeting her bodyguard.

Bryana walked out of the room down the stairs, then walked out of the house. She saw Dean sitting on a long chair beside her house, near the flowers that were no longer in bloom.

"Is he sad?" Bryana thought wonderingly because Dean looked gloomy as he leaned his back on the chair while staring at the moon.

___

"I'm just a little star who hopes to touch the moon so beautifully shining, I'm just a poor man trapped in love with his own master, I'll be tortured to endure this feeling every day," though Dean regretfully.

'Clarissa, I don't know what to do, I want to find a replacement for you, find a suitable mother figure for Sofia, but why is that figure in my employer? I need you to always give me advice.' dean closed his eyes, wishing Clarissa would come and give an answer to the restlessness in his heart.

"Dean."

Dean's eyes opened suddenly when he heard his name called, thought Clarissa had come, but when he looked at the woman in front of him from the bottom up, it was Bryana who smiled sweetly at him.

"Are you going to sleep here?" Bryana asked as she sat down beside Dean.

Dean straightened his seat again, occasionally he glanced at Bryana, who looked naturally beautiful wearing white pajamas with a slightly open chest, pinning some of her hair back. the word "graceful" was very much a reflection of Bryana's current appearance.

"I was just looking for fresh air, I just happened to have just finished checking the conditions around the house," explained Dean while circling it.

"Is everything safe?" Bryana asked, glancing around.

"Yeah, everything gonna is safe," said Dean.

there was silence for a moment, they both remained silent as if confused about what to say. The woman and widower are still in the same feeling but are not sure whether to say it.

"Tomorrow, will you come back here or spend the night at home with your daughter?" Bryana asked absurdly because she didn't know where to start the conversation.

"If you allow, I'll stay there and come back here before you go to the office," replied Dean without turning his head. he tries to avoid styling Bryana who always breaks his faith.

"I will allow, for your daughter's sake," said Bryana with a smile looking at Dean who kept looking down as if he didn't want to look at her.

"Thank you," said Dean and then said, "you better come in, the night wind is not good for health."

"Instead, I'm hot, that's why I came out," replied Bryana instead leaning her back against the chair.

There was silence for a moment, Bryana glanced at Dean who was still looking down while holding his hand, while Dean began to break out in cold sweat because he kept trying to refrain from being attracted to Bryana, whose perfume had teased him.

"By the way, how old is your daughter?" Bryana asked breaking the silence.

"Five years," replied Dean.

"Wow, exactly the almost same as Calvin." Bryana smiled in surprise at the coincidence, then she asked, "Has she gone to school?"

"Kindergarten school," replied Dean.

"Who escorted her every day?" Bryana asked again. Geez, that boss suddenly became like a reporter who was thirsty for information.

"She was escorted by her grandmother," said Dean then straightened his head because he was tired of looking down. he turned to look at Bryana who looked better, but still visible bruises on her face.

"Are you feeling better?" asked Dean.

"Yes, I was the one who was curious about you, you look like you are not okay. Why?" Bryana even asked back, she looked at Dean who was also staring at him. when the two eyes met, they smiled at each other and looked away. The woman and widowers are like teenagers who are shy but like.

'Because I can't avoid you,' replied Dean from the heart.

"I'm not sad. I am like this, " replied Dean with a reassuring smile.

Bryana nodded in understanding, because the first time she met Dean, he liked to put on a flat face as if he was sad. The woman was curious about the words of the man beside her who had said that his wife had died.

"Sorry if I'm presumptuous or too eager to understand your past, but I'm really curious. When did your wife die and because of what?" Bryana asked, very carefully.

"When she gave birth to our daughter," replied Dean as briefly as possible, then looked up at the sky. "she left early when our daughter needed her," he continued steadfastly.

As Bryana flinched looking at Dean, she imagined the dashing man beside her holding a red baby without a mother. oh god, her eyes started to tear up imagining how broken the heart of her tough-looking bodyguard was.

"I think my life has suffered the most from a divorce and betrayal, it turns out that your destiny is more bitter," Bryana said sadly.

"It's been a long time and I'm trying to forget it, even though it's hard," replied Dean with a reassuring smile turning his head at Bryana. "Hey, why are you crying?" he asked, slightly surprised.

"I ... I'm just too sad, imagine your fate is worse than mine," said Bryana while wiping her tears harshly, she laughed because she was too easily moved.

"It's sad, but now I feel better," replied Dean then looked away. 'And it's because of you, I feel better having you by my side,' he continued to himself.

"Thank goodness, because you have to get up for your daughter." Bryana breathed a sigh of relief.

Dean nodded and became curious about Bryana's life story, but he hesitated to ask, even though Bryana considered him a friend.

Drett ... drettt,

Her cellphone in her pajama pocket vibrated, Bryana immediately took the cellphone and saw an incoming call from Alex, she immediately ignored the call and instead switched off her cellphone.

"Why to turn off?" asked Dean, raising his eyebrows.

"He's the source of trouble, I'm too lazy to talk to him," Bryana replied curtly, her humble demeanor faded.

"The source of the problem?"

"He's Calvin's father, maybe just going to say that I have to give Calvin to him," said Bryana then got up from his seat. "I have to go in immediately, you better come in when your task is finished," she exclaimed.

"You go ahead, I'll rest until the appointed time," replied Dean.

"What time is it determined?" Bryana asked, looking down at Dean.

"Three o'clock in the morning," said Dean then got up from his seat. "I'm going to the security post for coffee," he said goodbye.

Bryana froze in place staring at the back of the Front who was getting farther away, she imagined the man had to go the extra mile in maintaining security.

"Raymond is outrageous, putting his sleep time to three in the morning, then morning has to take care of me. Gosh, his eyes will be like panda eyes if it's like that every day," grumbled Bryana irritatedly at her brother who only gave her bodyguard a very short break schedule
