Chapter 194: Stone Will Evolved

Seth flesh began to sucked into that black spot but then something came from his mind, a flood of irritating white he had been consuming for an unknown amount of time and went into the black spot. It seemed endless with no end, like a sea. Soon, the white liquid, which was like a white powder mixed in the water, began to leak out and spread around the black dot.

The white liquid increased slowly until it was bigger and began to take shapes becoming like a Pure White Stone Will before.

Soon the white thing expanded and filled Seth's body head to toe, along the way his attire was spat out. In an unknown time, the flood of the white from his mind stopped and now he was encased in thick liquid that filled the damned house and even spilt out.

"Sascile Redone!" Seth muttered again and the whole thing compressed fast and returned to a normal Pure White Stone Will tattoo. The Dark Void black spread and darkened the crevices of the tattoo and outlined it well.

His lean body stood there in trance feeling his head clear, the danger had abated. His sensitivity to the moon reduced and the fear reduced too. Now he can look at the eyes of the Dark Void Chief with less fear of being consumed.

The Chief sinister smile was still there though and he nodded,

"Sascile Redone, congratulations, your Pure White Stone Will has evolved. Don't be complacent with it though because you are not invincible and immune to fear. This is just a great milestone that opened the door for more growth potential! Remember, we do not mean any harm!"

The man said before he gestured that Seth could leave before he continued to read the newspaper.

Seth glanced at the paper and was surprised that it was a real-life paper from one of the High-Class countries. It told the story of an asteroid's impact on the country.

He grabbed his attire and put on the trouser before he walked out. There, he met Ash sauntering, the player ran to him in surprise.

"You passed the test! That's great. We need to leave fast!" Seth nodded, he was still in shock at all that happened. Seth wore his attire and followed Ash, "Don't talk to anyone and don't look at anything, just the ground!"

Seth did as he was told, but he felt a wave of desire to respond and even listen to the people begging him to give them more crystal. Some outright cursed him which made his blood drain, or he felt that he had no bones, sometimes he felt he had no heart. At one time he lost his sight. All that came to stop when he exited the dried forest. "Finally, we are out!" Ash said.

[Congratulations]

Seth sighed as all that happened became sense to him. "Your chief is a nice guy!"

Ash was taken aback by what Seth said before he smiled, "You think so!"

"Yeah, he saved me from White Beast and later helped me with the Void Saliva!" Seth clarified.

The white expanse he had been walking for an unknown duration was the stomach of a Void Beast, the white corroded the mind and the body of a prey until they became white and part of it. However, a strong body like a dragon or a strong mind like Seth's can resist that for a long time.

The longer one resisted the more delicious they were but also the more fatigue, the Beast will be. That was why Temra said he should destroy it, to her that was the solution.

However, the fact Seth recovered to his peak and all the digestion process he had been through was rendered unsuccessful, which angered the White Beast but the newspaper reading man, the Dark Void Sanctuary Chief, saved Seth or else the Beast would have consciously destroyed him.

The White Beast here was just an analogy, it doesn't necessarily mean an actual beast that existed in one understanding. It might be just a place, a period of time or something beyond the understanding of man.

That was how Seth understood it.

The fact he survived that, the Chief gave him a paper that contained ink from Void Saliva, a kind that loved to devour everything and what happened next was the concept of 'white' that he had lived for years was then consumed by the saliva and merged with the Pure White Stone Will and it evolved.

But the Chief also aided Seth in containing it after he saw his resolve.

"He is kind but only if you are promising. But if he didn't like you, feeding you to his Void Beasts will be considered mercy!" Ash said ruefully.

"I wonder what you did to be his favourite!" Seth asked, expecting the player to be amazing.

"I wasn't, I failed his tests and was shoved into the mouth of one of those abominations. Thanks to my Weapon, I survived. And In one of their ceremonies, they decided to burn the Beast I was shoved in as a form of sacrifice and after it became ash in the fire, I emerged from the ashes.

Whether he had foreseen it or not, he said I'm annoying because I refused to die so he sent me out to help travellers!" Ash clarified.

Suddenly, they both stiffened and looked at the forest, a full body white armoured guard stood there, his hand on his sword hilt and his dark eyes fixated on Seth.

"Uncle Dark Edge. How was the farm? It's good right?" Ash was sweating as he asked. Seth recognised him to be the first guard that attacked him.

Then a streak of black ran toward them from the guard. "Damn. Speak. Good or bad!" He shouted as he went to intercept the black streak. The guard vanished and appeared at the tip of the black streak while Ash's cloak was spread to defend the attack.

Seth was behind, his heart beating wildly. Trying to understand what was happening. Why would the guard attack him if he meant goodwill? Why was Ash fighting him, shouldn't he understand what it was? But Ash was asking the guard why he was attacking.

He was having that thought when a black streak reached him and the guard appeared. His sword with its dark edge cut through the air towards him.

Seth could react, he was in Vela Aspector but he didn't. He just waited to see what would happen. Blood splashed and Seth's right hand was cut off from his elbow. The white armoured guard grabbed it and began to devour it before he vanished back into the forest.

There was pain, but he felt worse before so Seth just stared at the notification saying he was injured and he had lost a hand and then he will need 12 hours to recover.

"My people are walking contradiction!" Ash said, "sometimes you need to fight them to know their true intention! He didn't kill me directly so he means good!"

"I figured!" The players quickly left the place in case another guy just popped out to taste Seth's flesh again.

[Your Mental Power is being consumed]

"Shit!" Seth cursed and informed Ash but he dismissed it that it would be alright. And he believed him.

"With all that scary things, Shadow Stealer called Living Roots a nightmare!" Seth said and for the first time, Ash showed genuine fear as he looked at Seth.

"You have no idea. Despite all the dangers in our Sanctuary, the Chief conquered it and established a village there. But not in the wilderness dream of any powerhouse did they ever entertain the idea of settling in Living Roots. The place was called Grand Purity but to maintain that, every life form in Gawee can be devoured and will be devoured if they came close to that place.

Especially people like us."

"I doubt this continent will have breathable air if the forest doesn't exist!" Seth defended his home.

"Ah, that is true. The wind that came from there was always healing."

The two walked as they chatted, Seth was learning about the other players and also how they got up here from that place. It was simple as Zero was the one that transformed into a half-dragon and flew them over.

"There was an old man that went around saying he had found a way to leave the continent. He claimed that his brother had died trying to do so and he cracked the mystery. We will be meeting him next week." Ash said.

"That will be great!" Seth felt a wave of ease and salvation hearing that. For the first time, Seth felt a surge of hope in his mind, he knew above all others how dangerous this place was, and he will never lose a chance to escape it and never come back.

"When are we meeting with the rest?" Seth asked about Zambia and the group.

"We are on our way there but we might want to delay for your hand to regrow!"
