Chapter 195: Red Cloak Player
Ash was a chatterbox as he talked all the way even as they rested inside a husk of a tree when the sunset and sunrise before they proceed with Seth's regrown hand.
Soon they came close to the rendezvous cave. He was confused that, removing the resting part, the journey seemed very close. As if hearing his thoughts, Ash said, "Our Sanctuary appeared to those who wanted to be there. That's why you reached there fast. But also some will randomly find themselves there."
Seth lost interest in the Sanctuary anymore, what he wanted was to quickly finish the Class Quest and then get the hell out of the continent.
Zambia and the rest were in the cave waiting for them. Juma in particular was agitated until she confirmed that Ash wasn't a clone. Apparently, he can make himself a clone if he wished.
"We need to hurry and meet them. So that we set an anchor. After that, we can finish our remaining quests and then head for the exit."
Zambia concluded the long discussion about escape. Things have changed from what Ash knew, to meet with some people that knew about the exit for preparation.
They discussed many things, one of which was that it was best for everyone to have a class. Another thing was they must do something noticeable in their Sanctuary to obtain the reward.
There were other individuals' conditions that people have fulfilled but that was for them to personally figure out.
Seth wasn't surprised that he wasn't the only one that had an ongoing class quest. Some have some weird things to do that are even more complicated.
He learned that after the Blast Dragon, as they call Vera, didn't go back, the power of the Sanctuary was reduced and the people were forced to become nomadic. But thanks to their active aura some of them have reignited their bloodlines that have various functions. One of them was related to travel.
"I need to meet with them again. That old chief did something to me that aided me in many things!" Seth said as they walked to the new destinations.
"What?"
"He blessed me with Luck +1. And trust me if I say this but without that, I would have died three times." Seth said truthfully.
"Haha. Well, to break your shell, luck can only be blessed once by any chief and also by anyone!" Zambia sad.
"I do not believe it!" Seth said bluntly. "I swear I'm telling the truth. It happened to me. Sadly I squandered it doing nothing important" Zambia added.
"Nah, I'm pretty sure that applies to you because you are too OP. As for me, it will be different!" Seth said this time there was a gloomy look on his face. The players were silent and seeing him being a bit upset for just telling the truth, they shushed Zambia to stop.
"So you are going to track the nomadic people now!" Allen asked Seth and he nodded but clearly, he didn't want to talk about it.
"Here, use this sealed insect. Wherever it flew, that was the direction they were in!" He said. Seth was taken aback but he nodded with a smile.
He was already hiding behind the Luck value to ask where the people were. But became frustrated due to what Zambia said and if he believed him as others may normally do, then he may need to concoct another reason why he needs to meet them.
There was a reason why he didn't want to just meet them. One of which was that Sound dragon was last seen with him and it's stupid to say they will not suspect anything abnormal about it.
Soon they reached a place where there were hills and large rocks. One of the players offered to create a cave but they rejected that. Because they weren't here to stay.
"They are close," Allen said but at that time Seth felt uneasy, it was subtle at first but it was magnifying slowly. He stared at Allen. He was a man with tanned skin and wide eyes. He has a single edge sword on his hip.
Allen looked at him too, wondering what was wrong with this boy.
Seth looked away but he began to feel the need to run. His face scrunched deeply, his heart beating with Guru gam. At the same time, he felt the temperature rise in his pocket.
The other players noticed his odd behaviour, this was due to being hyper-vigilant. Dying was possible after all.
He brought the cause of the temperature, it was his rusty Iron Script Compass. There were two pointers, one toward Dark Void and the other one toward Living Roots. But now they were moving fast like a pan.
It was confusing but he quickly poured aura into it and it absorbed it. The pointers slowed down before they merged and rotated slowly. But Seth's face was ugly, as the pointer was a bit wider than the two and it marked something.
"River…." Seth muttered without warning and from one of the large rocks back, the red river flooded out toward Seth.
"Reti… concealment!" He added as he brought Dragon Rabbit Foot in his hand. The river moved faster and surrounded them, becoming a sphere before it became irregular like the rocks around, at the same time it stuck sand and stones and decorated the sphere, making it look like a rock.
He did that without their consent, they did think of resisting but they all prepared their weapons in case he tried something. Zambia in particular has his Yellow Sandhour at hand ready to use in case this abnormal player tried something funny.
But their sentiments were squashed as a dragon pressure pressed on them. Some of them fell to their knees while others made an ugly expressions.
Looking at Seth, he was staring at one part of the sphere before his haze shifted and even his body turned slowly, his gaze never faltering.
Suddenly, something rang in Allen's pocket. He brought it out…
"Hey, where are you?" A voice came out from the device. "Shit happened. I was attacked by a man that can control blood. I have to run away. But now I sensed a dragon's pressure around. Hope they ducked it out!"
"You mean Bloodmancer," the voice said.
"Is that his name? Let's make a new rendezvous tomorrow!" Allen said with evident fear in his voice.
There was silence but then the connection disconnected and then a roar blasted in the surrounding before a sonic boom was heard. The dragon pressure vanished too.
Both Seth, Allen and the rest sighed in relief but they stayed in the red bubble silently.
"I think the dragon left!" Seth said.
"Let us wait more hours!" Juma said. And they waited for a long time before they agreed to come out. The red river has shrunk considerably due to prolonged exposure and Seth took in the rest.
Seth muttered silently, 'Retina: string defence!' Then he looked at Allen suspiciously and asked, "what was that?"
"We shall ask you that? You should have spoken before you used bloodmancy to encase us!" Fist said. He still remembered the first time it was used to imprison them.
"So, next time I shall keep you out?" Seth asked an irritating question.
"Yes…" Fist agreed but was stopped by Zambia and he asked Allen what was that. "Why was the Deceit dragon flowing us!"
"What is a deceit dragon?" Seth asked as he caressed his compass that just saved their life.
"It's a strange dragon that has various powers. One of which was the mimicking voice of humans, tapping into communication devices, innate knowledge of secrets, conversation, disguise and others." Rena explained, "it's a peculiar dragon that kidnapped humans from various sanctuaries. It's rumoured that when a group of 20 powerful people meet the dragon may arrive there!"
"20?" Zambia frowned at that moment when a group of 9 players appeared from a distance, they all had dark cloaks, and one of them had a red cloak.
"It seemed you survived!" A tall boy with broad shoulders and dark skin commented.
"Yep. We did. You were here all this time?" Allen asked. The people were the ones they were supposed to meet.
Suddenly, Seth's compass rotated fast like before, Zambia and the rest have their attention attracted with a grimace. A second later, a force appeared before Seth, some one has crashed into a thin layer of red string.
A string of red liquid that Seth deploy for his protection when he muttered strings of defence
But the person reversed time by a second, and appeared right before he crashed, meters away from the strings with a gun facing Seth.
Bang!
The bullet was red coloured, and so Seth's green cloak shifted to red and moved fast and enveloped it.
Boom!
The explosion was redirected elsewhere but then he reversed time again and appeared before he shot the gun, this time the bullet was silver, and the green cloak didn't react to that.
Bang!
Seth was sent flying back and then a silver explosion happened. His armour has become hard and the cloak protected his face and exposed hand.
