Chapter 235 - A ROSE TO HER...
PRECAP
"I don't think..."
"Trust me, bestie!"
Tinsley was about to oppose but Beth interrupted her right away. Upon, Beth's insistence, she faces up and before turning around, she looked back at him.
He was checking his phone, sitting all alone at the table of two. And the people nearby were gawking at him, whispering things they knew about him...who the man was!
And out of nowhere, he raised his gazes up and then their eyes got locked before he could do anything, she sped inside the kitchen.

He checked his iPhone, sitting inside his Mercedes, parked around the corner, in front of the bakery shop.
His head security texted him saying that the area was clear. He immediately after that text, grabbed his spectacles to conceal his face and a black Adidas cap as he stepped out of the car and walked towards the bakery.
The bell rang as he opened the door and saw several customers, eating and chatting. A lady at the counter...freshly baked cupcakes stores on the desk.
No sight of Tinsley. He thought that she could have been inside the kitchen. He silently walked inside and took a seat at the front table.
He checked his phone, getting constant updates about his security from his head guard as he sat, waiting for his wife's arrival.
"Something must have happened for her to leave you and come to live like that...leaving all the luxury comforts up, doing more than per time shifts in a bakery and diner to sustain herself, selling paintings in the city centre...an heiress, she was as you say...what could have gone wrong being married to you for her to leave everything behind?"
The words of the old woman kept ringing inside his head. The more he wondered, the more he could see what a life she was living in...choosing to leave him yet she was not ready to go back with him.
He knew that he was a very complicated man to be around with. He never wanted to show his vulnerability to anyone else.
He wanted to be in control of everything and when she came along in his life, she was like the first ray of light...the smooth petal of the white lotus, so fresh and refreshing...
He wanted all of her to himself as he got more and more involved with her. Not like with any other women after his affair with Serena.
He was a selfish man...he was not good for anyone...neither her but he had a taste of her, and he was not going to let go of her ever.
He could see now why she chose to leave him, the way she chose to abandon Josh or everything her patents had offered her of...the luxurious, glittery life...a life with so much comfort, yet chained to the ground.
She craved for freedom, a sense of independence of her soul and when she felt that threatened by him, she had packed her bags up.
He had not been the best of the husband to her. He had surely given her all kinds of pleasures of the flesh yet he had failed to understand her desires, her aspiration at one point.
The reason why where their marriage stood at that moment. He could see it, all in his head at that moment.
Anna Maria had said when he went to visit her before he left for San Francisco, how her childhood had been not the ideal one.
She had seen her mother suffer and die day by day in a loveless marriage and the terror of it was so fresh and had affected her mind to great extent.
Perhaps, he had made her feel like her mother and she decided to leave all of it behind to not follow in the same footsteps as her mother.
It was true that after coming to know what and how he was separated from his mother...for whom and who's a fault...how could he not blame her for it??
Would she not have done the same??
But they had entered into such a serious, complicated relationship that parting ways, was just not the solution to this problem...
He needed her and he would kill someone even before he could get in with her...
In this life, she was going to have only him...and he did not mind staying married to her even though she was the reason behind every misery that followed his life after his mother's death.
And then he saw her...their eyes interlocked for a while and before he could move, she was out of there at the speed of light.
He laid back on his chair as he knew, he would have to wait for another hour now before her shift was over.
He married her to protect her, give her the life she deserved. It was never about him...yet she had turned it for them...created the 'us' in them.
And he was going to give her the life, she was born into. He was going to give her the dress in pink yet let her fly up the sky...as she had always wanted.
He had bought all her paintings, she had sold out in the city centre with the help of his agents.
Beth walked up to him as the lady at the counter asked her to take the order of that lonely man, sitting there for more than two hours without anything on his table.
Beth stood before him. Kian looked up to see her, her very big pregnant belly catching his eyes' attention for a while before looking up at her face.
He thought in his head that this woman...had to be the famous, ' Bethany Willams', who introduced artificial insemination to his wife and helped her with it.
"I swear if you are here to hurt her, I m going to stab this inside your skin!"
And it was only then he felt the tip of a share knife aimed at the corner of his abdomen. Bethany gritted her teeth.
"Just give this to my wife..."
He handed her a red rose and Beth was taken aback.
"Tell her I m waiting for her here!"
